" DISPOSITIF DEROULEUR DE FIL "
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

"WIRE UNWINDING DEVICE"
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The present invention relates to a yarn unwinding device, suitable, for example, to be used during the warping of yarns.
Difficulties are experienced in warping yarns and particularly crepe yarns, because of the great vitality of these yarns. These difficulties are particularly noticeable when removing the yarn from a cone or from a spool and when placing a new cone or a new spool.
These difficulties are reflected in particular by ballooning of the wire, which takes place when the wire is removed from the cone or from the spool and is due to the centrifugal force.
This baling has the consequence that the distance between the cones must be very large, so that one must, for example, use a warping machine of very large dimensions, which constitutes a serious drawback, since such a warping is bulky.
The object of the present invention is to avoid the difficulties stated above and the drawbacks which result therefrom.
To this end, according to the invention, there is placed, coaxially with the spindle carrying the unwinding spool, a guide member having an opening intended to limit the balloon of yarn, which is formed during the unwinding of the yarn.
According to a preferred embodiment, this guide member is in the form of a ring, arranged so as to be able to be moved.
To completely remedy all the drawbacks of the known devices, the device according to the invention is designed so that the guide member is
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
mounted on a spool support arm, so that, when tilting the latter, the wire remains guided, and so that, with a view to tilting the spool, the spool pin of said device is hinged the aforementioned support, this arm itself also being articulated on the frame of the machine or on the support or rake of the coils.
According to other features of the invention, to the aforementioned joints, an element of each joint has a hollow or recess, into which fits, in the service position of the coil, a projection of the other element of the corresponding joint and the elements of the joints are pressed against each other by means of one or more springs.
An embodiment of the invention will now be described, by way of illustrative example, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: - Figure 1 is a side elevational view of a device according to l invention, and - Figure 2 is a bottom view.
In these figures, the reference notation 1 designates a reel or a cone placed on a spindle 2. This spindle is articulated to a support arm 3, which is itself articulated to the frame or frame of a machine or the like. device. A handle 4 is attached to the spindle 2, thanks to which the unwinding device can be brought out of its working position.
In the vicinity of the upper end of the cone 1 is mounted a guide member 5 which, in the embodiment illustrated, takes the shape of a ring and is mounted, preferably, coaxially with the bobbin holder pin. ne, at a level somewhat higher than the upper end of the latter pin.
It is obvious that the guide member 5 must not
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
not necessarily be mounted coaxially with the spindle 2, but can, if necessary, have its axis outside the axis of said spindle.
The guide member or ring 5 has substantially the same diameter as the widest part of the cone or of the coil. When, during the unwinding of the thread, a ballooning forms, this is reduced by the ring 5.
The great advantage of this ring is that the coils can practically be placed against each other. The guide member 5 further prevents detachment of the yarn when the machine is stopped and the formation of a "ball" of yarn, which results in breakage of the yarn, when the machine is switched off. restart. This happens many times, especially when warping crepe yarn.
Thanks to the invention, it is possible to mount the spool and make the necessary connections at the rear of a warping machine, whereas until today it was common to have to go to work on a full spool between. the threads of the other spools, which caused these threads to catch on the clothes, entanglement of these threads and, consequently, breakage. These drawbacks are completely non-existent with the unwinding device according to the invention.
By pulling on handle 4, the coil is rotated around joint 6 and arm 3 around joint 7. When coil 1 is in its fully withdrawn position, the free end of the line remains suspended in ring 5, so that entanglement of the lower end of the thread is prevented.
Removing an empty coil, replacing it with a full coil and connecting the ends
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
of son can then be carried out without inconvenience. The spindle carrying a full reel is then brought forward and automatically returns to its original position, given that at the joints, a projection 9 is lodged in a recess 8, when the device has reached its working position. .
The elements of the articulations are pressed against each other by means of springs 10, so that the device is locked in its working position by the cooperation of the aforementioned recesses and projections.
