<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
La présente invention a pour but de permettre de bobiner les fils échantillonnés, soit sur un'écran rigide plan, soit sur des feuilles gommées, soit les deux opérations consécuti- ves, ce qui autorise de faire un examen rapide de la fabrica- tion ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Arrangement for examining coiled wires on a control surface. ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
The present invention relates to a device making it possible to examine and check the threads after winding with a view to discovering all kinds of irregularities, in particular knots, plugs, over-twist, weak parts, passages, loops, etc.
According to the invention, the device for examining wires wound on control surfaces is characterized in that said surfaces are respectively constituted by a flat rigid screen moving around a horizontal axial line and have the control made with the aid of kinematic organs, and by sheets of gummed paper supported by bent plates connected in a removable manner to said rigid screen.
In a generally known manner, the thread is wound on a black cardboard, so as to discover the derailments listed above. Such a control arrangement is both inexpensive, but has the drawback that it is not possible to keep in the documentation the sets taken during manufacture.
For this purpose, it was recommended to wind the samples, taken during manufacture, on a gummed paper fixed on a metal cylinaric drum.
This paper is previously moistened, so that the
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
wire adheres to the sticky surface during winding, and that after cutting the sheets thus obtained can, after examination and control, be classified as documentation
The object of the present invention is to enable the sampled wires to be wound, either on a flat rigid screen, or on gummed sheets, or both consecutive operations, which allows a rapid examination of the manufacture to be made;
and if deemed necessary, samples are made on gummed paper which can be folded, cut out, classified, attached to the order or to constitute a file, while presenting the same aspect as the work 'on cylinder,
Another advantage of the present invention is that it allows the wire to be wound up and cut, thanks to the rigid screen, to a ?. well-determined length, in order to obtain pieces of wire of rigorous length allowing the wire to be titrated, by weighing the ends of the wire thus obtained one by one
Other features of the invention will also be described in more detail in the description which follows.
In the accompanying drawing is shown, by way of example, an embodiment of the present invention,
Fig. 1 shows in perspective the device for examining coiled wire according to the present invention.
Fig. 2 is a profile view of the rigid screen
According to the embodiment shown in the drawing, the device comprises a frame 1 on which are mounted bearings and 5 by horizontal axes 4, 5. On the axes 4-5 are respectively mounted a stepped pulley 6. and a pulley 7.
On the free end of the axis 4 is mounted, following a? median transverse link, a rigid screen 8, so as to be driven by the axis when a @ wedged on the pulley 6, is placed @
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The thread is spooled on this fixed screen and is held by its own elasticity under a certain tension.
On each corner and at each -The faces of the screen Si are mounted claws 10, under which are slid supports 11 and 111 made up of an elastic sheet of steel for example, The length of these plates are such as to force them to curve as soon as they are placed in the hooks 10. these supports 11 and 11 serve as bearing surfaces for aes sheets 12 of cardboard paper -or the like, having a gummed face (preferably black for the white threads) and to hold them by pinching them under the claws 10.
On the axis 5 is mounted, by means of necks known per se, a screw intended to spread the thread coming from a spindle 13 over the entire surface of the gummed cardboards. The wire is stretched successively and from the net over a tensioner 14 and guides 15-151.
The screw 17, driven by means of a belt 16 and the pulley 7, has the wire either on the screen rigiae 8, or on the gummed sheets covering the supports 11-111, at regular intervals according to the thread that guides the wire, allowing any analysis and testing of the quality of the workmanship to be examined.
It goes without saying that according to the various manufactures, screws of different pitches can be fixed axially on the axis 5 so as to obtain various deviations, depending on the size of the wire.
Another characteristic of the invention resides in that the wire, after having passed over the tensioner 14 and the guides 15-151, is engaged directly in the thread of the screw 17, and thus receives a regular advance which varies according to the not of said screw 17, and without it being necessary, as in certain known applications, to have recourse to a cursor.
