L'invention concerne des souliers et des chaussures, désignés dans la, suite de l'exposé par le terme générique "chaussure", et des talons rapportés destinés à ceux-ci. L'invention concerne des chaussures dont le côté interne du talon au moins se prolonge vers l'avant pour former un support pour le dessous de l'arcage plantaire.
L'objet de cette invention est d'augmenter l'utilité de la chaus- sure munie d'un talon prolongé en incorporant à ce dernier un dispositif des- tiné à contrecarrer la tendance d'une arcade faible à se bomber vers l'intéri- eur.
Selon l'invention, le talon d'une chaussure, qui s'étend vers 1' avant pour offrir un support pour le dessous de l'arcade plantaire, est carac- térisé par la présence sur le prolongement antérieur, à l'endroit du côté inté- rieur du talon, d'une protubérance s'étendant vers le haut eb propre à offrir

Le talon perfectionné selon l'invention est destiné en premier lieu à être fourni aux détaillants et aux cordonniers en tant qu'unités sépa- rées et en un choix de dimensions, si bien que si la personne qui porte la chaussure est sujette à ou développe une tendance à l'affaiblissement de l'ar- cade plantaire ou à des déficiences similaires, la totalité ou une partie du talon normalement adapté à la chaussure par le fabricant peut être enlevée et un des talons séparés, selon la, présente invention, peut être fixé à la place de la partie enlevée. Le talon perfectionné selon l'invention peut aussi être monté sur la chaussure au lieu d'un talon ordinaire, par un fabricant, particulièrement par les fabricants de chaussures orthopédiques.

Le talon illustré aux dessins ci-annexés peut être considéré d'une façon gégérale comme comprenant trois parties, une partie postérieure 1 qui a approximativement la forme d'un talon ordinaire, une partie en forme de coin saillant vers l'avant 2 et une protubérance s'étendant bers le haut 5. La sur- face supérieure de la partie en coin 2 est un prolongement de la surface supé- rieure de la partie arrière 1 et la-face''supérieure 4, dans son ensemble, dimi- nue d'épaisseur dans une direction longitudinale, le point le plus haut étant à l'extrémité arrière de la partie 1. Dans tout plan parallèle au centre lon- gitudinal du talon, la surface 4 est sensiblement rectiligne, tandis que dans tout plan transversal, la surface 4 est concave, ainsi que le montrent les figs.

La paroi 5 est en forme de coin en section transversale et elle s'amenuise à partir d'une base large vers une arête comparativement aiguë 11.
