The Dairy Valorization Process
Slags, in general / metallur- @ slags,. giques, and more especially steel slags, have little or no value.
However, their alumina content would represent a significant value if it were possible to achieve economic recovery.
The object of the present invention is to obtain, from the usual slags composed mainly of alumina silica and lime, modified slags whose alumina content is in a chemical state such that extraction is economically feasible, This result is obtained by the addition of corrective materials which modify the chemical balance of the slag in the desired direction,
The methods of addition used consist essentially of limestone or lime, or of calcium ores and aluminous ores or materials.
