Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

     On voit aux dessins des coupes schématiques de cette chaudière

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

  Central heating boiler with rational combustion and heat recovery.

   The present invention relates to a central heating boiler with rational combustion and heat recovery, characterized by all or part of the following provisions taken together or in isolation: - reverse combustion hearth and lower combustion chamber; - flues formed by a. double water jacket constituting an extension of the gas combustion chamber and heat recovery chamber; - movable cover plate for the flues to allow cleaning; - draft chimney placed at the bottom of the flues.

   The accompanying drawings show schematically, by way of nonlimiting example, one embodiment of the invention.

   Figure 1 is a vertical section G-H of the boiler, Figure 2 is the vertical section E-F.

   Figure 3 is a horizontal section A-B and Figure 4 a horizontal section C-D.

   Until now, central heating boilers have been constituted by a simple water jacket forming the wall of a hearth. The hot gases are often returned to the front of the boiler by a vault which lengthens their path; 'then escape into the chimney, the pipe of which is placed in the upper half of the boiler.

   In these boilers the heating surface is relatively small and a large part of the heat escapes in pure loss in the chimney. In addition, the upper part of the boiler can be difficult to clear of the soot and dust which s 'deposit there
The present invention relates to improvements intended) to remedy these drawbacks.

     We see in the drawings schematic sections of this boiler

 which rests on a plinth 1 and comprises on three sides, at the base, a large water jacket 2 which is divided into two shirts; $ and 4 from the level of the grate 5 of the hearth. These two water jackets communicate on the front of the boiler by a simple jacket 6 in which the opening '/ is reserved for the base to allow the grating to be unclosed and which is closed by the door 8, which includes the shutter 9 air inlet connected by chain 10 to thermostat lever 11.

   The gap between the two water jackets forms flues and is covered by a waterproof plug 12.

   The interior of the boiler forms a fuel reserve 13 retained by the grids 14 and 15. This fuel burns at 16 above the grate 5 and the combustion gases escape through the openings 17 and 18 arranged in the inner water jacket that they bypass to reach the exhaust chimney 19. A cover 20 closes the top of the boiler.

   The path of the hot gases has been shown diagrammatically by arrows.

   Thanks to the reverse combustion hearth all the gases resulting from the distillation of the fuel are burnt; this hearth being essentially smoke-eating there is no fear of clogging of the flues; the cleaning of these is moreover facilitated by the arrangement of the buffer 12.

   The interval between the water jackets forms a bell in which the hot gases rise and give up their heat on contact with the water jackets before being discharged into the chimney.

   For the same size, the boiler has a higher efficiency than the boilers currently in use. In addition, the fuel reserve allows long operation without recharging.

   It goes without saying that the shapes, details, raw materials and various arrangements may vary without departing from the scope of the present invention.
