<EMI ID=1.1>

<EMI ID=3.1>

Radio-Electric receiver device.
The present invention relates to radio-electric receiving devices in which, following a
relative displacement of the armature of an electric motor and
of the control device of the tuning components, the clutch
or the coupling of the motor to the tuning devices (the tuning capacitor for example) can be disengaged at -
by means of a friction clutch. In these devices the
arrangement is such that the motor armature performs a
axial movement when the motor is switched on for
drive tuning capacitors. Motor armature
thus comes into contact with a member fixed to the capacitor
agree and the latter is, therefore, driven by the engine.
When such a capacitor is manually tuned, it -
<EMI ID = 1.1>
agrees that the motor armature does not have to follow the rotational movement, which, of course, would cause tuning difficulties. In an already known device, the coupling between the motor and the tuning capacitor is such that the motor must drive the tuning capacitor at a given moment, without the possibility of slipping. As a result, the motor is suddenly subjected to a large load which requires a motor of greater power than would be necessary for driving the tuning capacitor alone. In addition, this sudden training has the drawback of being accompanied by a loud noise. This drawback is also inherent in another device already known in which the motor shaft actuates the capacitor shaft by means of a certain number of toothed wheels.
According to the invention, these drawbacks are overcome by arranging for the motor shaft to carry one of the parts of said friction coupling and for the capacitor shaft to carry the other part of this coupling, one of these parts being conical and the other part being made slightly elastic around its periphery, for example by the fact that it is provided with a rubber tire. This causes that during the movement of the motor armature in the direction of the shaft towards the coupling part of the tuning capacitor, the coupling between the two parts takes place gradually, so that the motor is loaded only gradually. In addition, the coupling is established so to speak without any noise.
It is advantageous that the periphery of the non-conical part of the coupling between the motor and the tuning capacitor is round in cross section. It is obvious that one can influence the elasticity of the coupling A __
by making the inclination of the tapered coupling part more or less strong.
The description of the appended drawing, given by way of example, will make it clear how the invention can be implemented, the features which emerge both from the drawing and from its explanation naturally forming part of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows an embodiment in which the rotor 1 of a tuning capacitor is mounted on a shaft 2 carrying a disc 3 with elastic periphery. 4 designates the electric motor intended to actuate the rotor 1 of the tuning capacitor. For this purpose, the motor armature 5, which is only shown schematically, can move in the motor housing 6. When the motor is not energizing a co-
<EMI ID = 2.1>
te, moves to one side or the other solidly with the frame, does not come into contact with the disc 3. In
In this case, the rotor 1 of the tuning capacitor can easily be operated by hand by means of a button 8 mounted on
a shaft 9 carrying a pinion 10 engaged with a toothed wheel
11 mounted on shaft 2. When the motor is switched on, the armature 5 moves to the right, the motor shaft and wheel 7 starting to rotate. During the movement to the right, the wheel 7 gradually comes into contact with the periphery of the disc 3. First, a sliding contact is established between the bevel wheel 7 and the disc 3, so that the rotor 1 is not driven directly at high speed, so the motor is loaded gradually. The more the armature of the motor 5 moves to the right, the greater the friction between the wheel 7 and the disc 3, the edge of which has a
<EMI ID = 3.1>
Sliding takes place between parts 7 and 3. The coupling takes place almost silently. As soon as the correct tuning is reached, the motor is switched off, so that the motor armature moves to the left and the coupling between parts 7 and 3 is therefore interrupted.
An embodiment shown in FIG. 2 differs from that of FIG. 1 in that the shaft 2 of the capacitor carries a bevel wheel 12 and that the armature 5 of the motor 4 is provided with a disc 13. In this embodiment, the

so that the shaft 2 of the capacitor reaches its final speed in an even more gradual manner than in the embodiment of fig 1.
