DESCRIPTION .

INVENTION OF A FIREPLACE WITH AUTOMATIC LOADING AND RINGING FOR BOILERS AND OVENS.
General considerations.
The invention relates to a fireplace with automatic loading and racking for boilers and furnaces for burning all fuels and mainly those of inferior quality with maximum efficiency and minimum supervision. For this purpose, the charcoal stored in a hopper is projected onto the grid in such a way that it is uniformly distributed over a layer, with the ignition being on a mobile ringing grid. This mobile grate pours the fuel onto inclined grates forming the continuation of the mobile grate. While passing through several adjustable air compartments, the fuel finally arrives on a scouring plate. At this point, the last flammable particles of the fuel are burned, leaving absolutely neutral bottom ash. The maximum efficiency of the installation is thus achieved.
DESCRIPTION. The hearth is distinguished according to the invention, by one or more mobile grates in the direction of the length of the hearth, placed at the axis of an automatic loading device which, 'in adjustable time intervals, projects a quantity of coal. determined on

the mobile ringing grid (s). Under this grid, by an adjustable flue, the air is injected through the openings in the grid through the layer of fuel forming the preferred combustion zone. The grid being set in motion by a suitable mechanical device, pours the fuel onto inclined grids located on each side thereof and between which it performs its movement.
As the charhon arrives on the mobile grid and as soon as it is on the slope of the inclined grids, it is automatically routed to the lower base while passing through the adjustable air inlet flues intended supplying combustion air to the second combustion zone. At this point, the fuel, almost released from the flammable particles, meets a horizontal scouring patch where the remainder of the unburnt particles is removed. At more or less extended intervals, the slag is withdrawn towards the front of the hearth.
In the plan, a description of the invention is given by Figure I in longitudinal section, while Figure 2 shows a cross section along line A B. Figure 3 shows a cross section of the same home but with two loading devices .
By the intermediary of a mechanical device 1, the coal is distributed by means of a loader 2 on a plate 3.
At this point, a shovel 4 mounted on springs 5 is also actuated by the mechanism I in such a way that, immediately after the arrival of the coal on the plate 3, the shovel 4 operates a sudden release projecting by its live force this quantity of coal on the mobile racking grid 6.
The mechanical device I is designed so that a series of releases of the shovel 4, of different force, is

succeed, thus distributing the fuel evenly on the mobile grid 6 or, supplied with combustion air by the adjustable flue 7, the first combustion zone comes into action. The mobile grid 6, by inserting suitable elements is in motion by the same mechanical device I, thus discharging the coal on each side on the slope of the inclined grates 8 between which the mobile ringing grid moves in a back and forth movement. . On the slope of the inclined grates 8 supplied with combustion air by the adjustable flues 9, the second combustion zone takes place.
The fuel arriving at the base of the inclined grates 8 meets the horizontal scouring plate 10 or the combustion ends. The slag is removed through door II placed for this purpose at the front of the fireplace.
PATENT APPLICATION: I) hearth according to description characterized by a movable ringing grid 6 placed between two inclined grids 8 to the axis of an automatic loading device.
