<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
De préférence, on peut procéder de la façon suivante : lors de l'intervention des conditions anormales de fonctionnement, un levier de commande est amené, grâce à la force centrifuge existante du rotor, à une position qui détermine la libération du régulateur de marche, et il est maintenu à cette position par un organe d'arrêt ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

"Time masure device with use of an auxiliary movement and a small synchronous motor".
In time measuring devices equipped with a small synchronous motor and an auxiliary movement, and intended for the control of devices controlled as a function of time, such as clocks, time switch-breakers, etc. to release and block the operation regulator, an auxiliary relay subject to the influence of
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
1 magnetic system dispersion flux. However, apart from the fact that these auxiliary relays complicate and make the installation of the motor expensive, in addition to causing a fairly high power consumption, they still have the notable drawback of a certain operating uncertainty.
In an installation of this type, in particular when there is a drop or a slow rise in the voltage, or even when a strong voltage drop occurs, as is possible during network faults, for example. sequence of short circuits on. for temporary overloads, it may happen that the operation regulator is released or blocked without excess.
It is also conceivable that, during considerable voltage oscillations, the running regulator is alternately released, blocked and then released again. as a result of this play, the speed regulator loses its centrifugal force, so that, the rotor becoming desynchronized, the auxiliary movement and, consequently, the running of the clock are stopped,
For all the reasons indicated above, synchronous motor and auxiliary movement time measuring devices have already been proposed, in which the axial attraction force of the motor system determines an offset of the rotor, this offset being used for the monitoring of the speed regulator.
However, here again, it has been found that the magnetic force of attraction of the rotor is too weak to influence the rate regulator in such a way as to ensure with sufficient aericity the flawless operation of the time-measuring device. . synchronous motor with auxiliary movement.
According to the present invention, the drawbacks inherent in the time measuring devices which have been mentioned above are avoided, in the sense that, according to the invention, for the release of the blood pressure regulator, the drill is used.

centrifugal of the rotor and, for the blocking of the speed regulator, part of the energy of the motor.
Preferably, one can proceed as follows: during the intervention of abnormal operating conditions, a control lever is brought, thanks to the existing centrifugal force of the rotor, to a position which determines the release of the speed regulator, and it is maintained in this position by a stop member;
when normal operating conditions return, the shut-off device is actuated by the synchronous aa boat motor for a determined period, and, as a result, the control lever returns to a position which determines the blocking of the speed regulator , to avoid a sort of "sticking" or "ankylosis" of the speed regulator, it is also possible to periodically cause, by means of a device controlled by the synchronous motor, the release of the speed regulator determined by the force of the motor, and the subsequent blocking of the same regulator, caused by the energy of the motor.
Since the start of the running regulator is determined by the relatively large centrifugal force of the rotor, in the event of a large voltage drop, the regulator will be started vigorously. The regulator is started as under the action of an impulse and, consequently, braking, as well in the case of brief drops in voltage, as in the case of slow decrease in voltage; it is totally withdrawn, for a sufficiently long time, from the influence of the voltage, which, in certain circumstances, exhibits strong variations.
In between, the blocking of the speed regulator also occurs suddenly and vigorously, only when the. operating voltage returned to a determined minimum value and remained constant.
In the accompanying drawing, there is shown in Figures 1 and 2
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
an embodiment of the present invention applied to a synchronous motor time measuring device with auxiliary movement.
Fig. 1 shows a general view in which only the components which are necessary for the understanding of the invention have been drawn. It is thus, for example, that we have not shown how the transmission of the movement of the motor and of the auxiliary movement to the cogs takes place. In this regard, it should however be indicated that this transmission can be done by using a catching mechanism, the greater of the two speeds of the mechanisms being transmitted in a known manner to the cogs by the catching mechanism.
Fig. 2 shows a side elevation of the engine and parts which cooperate with it.
As seen in fig. 2, in the synchronous motor 3 which is fixed to a support 1 by means of screws 2, the axle 5, carrying the rotor 4, is mounted so as to be able to move longitudinally. On this axis 5 of the rotor presses an balanced lever 8 capable of oscillating around the axis 7. The pressure is provided by the spring 6. The rotor 4 is provided with a cam 9, qai, as shown in the illustration. Fig, l, sooperates with a coded control lever 13, capable of rotating about the axis 10 and subjected to the traction of the spring 11. This lever acts on an leaf spring 12.
On this control lever 13 also acts a lever 16 with a stop pawl, capable of oscillating around the axis 14 and subjected to the traotion of the spring 16. This stop pawl lever 16 can receive a stud 17 belonging to a dieqae 18 driven by the synchronous motor, a tilting movement, overcoming the traction of the spring 15. The movements of the control lever 13 and of the stop pawl lever 16 are limited by frames 19 and 20. The balance 25 carries an ankle 31 against which rests, in the locking position, a tab 22
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
leaf spring 12.
The position of the synchronous motor time measuring device shown in the drawing corresponds to the normal control of the cogs by the synchronous motor 3.due to the axial attraction force of the magnetic system, the axis 5 of the rotor is then pushed. against lever 8, which is pulled by spring 6.
The rotor hub comes to rest with low pressure on the bearing. when the operating voltage of the motor 3 drops below the value for which the synchronous operation of the rotor 4 is no longer ensured, this rotor is pushed outside the stator of the motor 3 as a result of the decrease in the axial force of attraction and as a result of the traotion of the spring 6. At the boat of a determined axial displacement, the cam 9 of the rotor 4 arrives on the path of the control lever 13. The existing centrifugal force of the rotor 4 causes the cam 9 to tilt the control lever 13, making it overcome the traotion of the spring 11; the control lever is then gripped by the catch lever 16.
Due to the movement of the control lever 13, the leaf spring 12 is lifted upwards and the balance 25 receives a slight impulse from the tab 22, so that this balance starts to oscillate in a certain way.
The balance 25 is therefore released, so that the catching system can be driven by the walking mechanism,
When the normal operating conditions come again, the rotor 4 of the synchronous motor 3 resumes its synchronism, so that this rotor, overcoming the trailing of the spring 6, returns to the operating position shown in the drawing.
Under these conditions, the balanoier is only blocked when the pin 17 of the disc 18 driven by the synchronous motor has tilted, overcoming the trauma of the spring 15, the stop pawl 16 lever 16.
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
occurs, the control lever 13 is released, so that this lever can be attracted to the left by the spring 11 and this results in the blocking of the balance 25 by the tab 22 of the leaf spring 12.
The device described also makes it possible to periodically start the speed regulator either by acting mechanically on the lever 8, in the reverse direction of the pulling of the spring 6, or by determining, for example by by means of an instantaneous switch. a short cut in the line which supplies the synchronous motor. Under these conditions, there will periodically be axial displacement of the rotor and, as a result, the rate regulator will be turned on for a few minutes as described above. Due to this periodic start-up, sticking of the operation regulator 25, which could occur in the event of a long shutdown, will be avoided. It should also be pointed out that, due to the periodic axial displacement of the rotor
4, good lubrication of the bearings of axis 5 of the motor is obtained.
