"DISPOSITIF DE SUSPENSION DES ROUES DE VEHICULES TOUS TERRAINS"
<EMI ID=1.1>
<EMI ID=2.1>
<EMI ID=3.1>

"ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE WHEEL SUSPENSION DEVICE"
<EMI ID = 1.1>
Being the subject in GREAT BRITAIN of a first request for
provisional patent, dated March 4, 1935, N [deg.] 6706, and a
final patent application (full specification) dated
of April 18, 1935, requests in the name of Mr. Nicholas STRAUSSLER,
of which the aforementioned Company is the beneficiary.
The invention relates to all-terrain vehicles,
in particular to the suspension of the wheels or running gear - *
of such vehicles and is particularly applicable
vehicles fitted with tracks or tracks
endless passing around the drive wheels.
According to the invention, all the organs constituting the
running gear on each side of the vehicle are
grouped in a single block intended to oscillate about an axis
<EMI ID = 2.1>
The frame of each of the undercarriages consists of a
side member pivotally mounted on a tubular part projecting from the vehicle and having at one of its ends or at both ends articulated spacers which
<EMI ID = 3.1>
side of the vehicle, the arrangement being such that an upward movement of the front or outer end of one of the side members causes a corresponding downward movement of one front or outer end of the other side member. The outer ends (that is to say the front and rear ends) of the side members liable to oscillate, carry the bogies of the wheels which can oscillate freely with respect to the side members, each bogie comprising a driving wheel of large diameter at the outer end (front end or rear end) of the bogie and a single or double idler or roller wheel mounted on a free arm at the end of the bogie which is directed towards the center of the vehicle, an elastic link being interposed between this arm free and the main part of the bogie,
so that the respective wheels have a considerable degree of freedom to be able to oscillate with respect to each other as well as to the oscillating spar.
To make the invention easier to understand, an embodiment given by way of purely indicative and in no way limiting example will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:

ends of these levers [yen] being hinged to a Y bar
extending across the vehicle.
CLAIMS.
1 - A vehicle with an endless track in which the entire running gear for each side of the vehicle forms a single unit intended to oscillate about a horizontal axis, transversely to the vehicle, said axis being located between the front and rear drive wheels.
