L'invention est relative aux appareils pour la pré- sentation de vêtements; et elle concerne plus particulièrement (parce que c'est dans leur cas que son application semble de- voir présenter le plus d'intérêt), mais non exclusivement, parmi ces appareils, les bustes-mannequins pour la présentation de vestons, pardessus, gilets ou tous autres vêtements, masculins ou féminins, susceptibles de s'adapter sur un buste.
Elle a pour but, surtout, de rendre tels, ces appa- reils, qu'ils répondent,mieux que jusqu'à ce jour,aux divers désiderata de la pratique, notamment qu'ils permettent d'obte- nir une présentation des vêtements plus originale, plus simple et plus esthétique.
Elle consiste, principalement -- et en même temps

qu'à constituer essentiellement les appareils du genre en ques- tion par un gabarit propre à maintenir, partiellement au moins, le vêtement à présenter dans la forme qu'il doit prendre sur le corps de l'usager -- à ménager dans ce gabarit, en regard de certaines au moins des échancrures que comporte le susdit vêtement, des évidements auxquels on attribue de préférence des dimensions supérieures à celles des susdites échancrures, en sorte que la paroi extérieure du Susdit gabarit soit entière- ment cachée par le vêtement supporté par l'appareil.
Elle consiste, mise à part cette disposition princi- pale, en certaines autres dispositions qui s'utilisent de pré- férence en même temps et dont il sera plus explicitement parlé ci-après.
Elle vise plus particulièrement un certain mode d'ap- plication (celui pour lequel on l'applique aux bustes-manne- quins), ainsi que certains modes de réalisation, des susdites dispositions ; et elle vise plus particulièrement encore, et ce à titre de produits industriels nouveaux, les appareils du gen- re en question comportant application de ces mêmes dispositions, les éléments et outils spéciaux (notamment les moules) propres à leur établissement, ainsi que les installations et ensembles comportant de semblables appareils.
Et elle pourra, de toute façon, être bien comprise à l'aide du complément de description qui suit ainsi que des des- sins ci-annexés, lesquels complément et dessins sont, bien en- tendu, donnés surtout à titre d'indication.
La fig. 1, de ces dessins, représente, en perspecti- ve, un mannequin pour vestons, établi conformément à l'inven- tion.
La fig. 2 représente le même mannequin, habillé d'un veston.
Les fig. 3 et 4 représentent, semblablement aux fig.
1 et 2, respectivement deshabillé et recouvert d'un veston, une

variante du susdit mannequin.
La fig. 5, enfin, montre, également en perspective, un mannequin habillé, établi conformément à l'invention, pour la présentation d'un vêtement féminin.
Selon l'invention, et plus spécialement selon celui de ses modes d'application, ainsi que ceux des modes de réali- sation de ses diverses parties, auxquels il semble qu'il y ait lieu d'accorder la préférence, se proposant.d'établir un appa- reil pour la présentation, par exemple et tout d abord, d'un veston 1, on s'y prend comme suit, ou de façon analogue.
On constitue essentiellement un tel appareil par un gabarit 2 propre à maintenir, partiellement au moins, le ves- ton 1 dans la forme qu'il doit prendre sur le corps de l'usa- ger. Bien que l'on puisse envisager de munir le susdit gabarit de bras, il semble préférable, pour faciliter les opérations d'habillage et de désahabillage du mannequin, de lui donner substantiellement l'allure d'un tronc humain.
On peut établir un tel gabarit en toute matière con- venable usuelle, par exemple en carton moulé, en matière plas- tique, en tôle emboutie ou en treillis métallique. On peut aus- si, pour permettre son adaptation à diverses tailles de ves- tons, lui combiner des moyens de réglage permettant de moaifier sa capacité.
Dans les appareils de ce genre établis jusqu'à ce jour, la paroi extérieure du gabarit était découverte en regard des échancrures du veston habillant ledit gabarit, notamment en regard de l'échancrure limitée par le col 3 du susdit veston.
On avait alors recours, pour dissimuler cette portion apparente de la susdite paroi, à un revêtement d'étoffe, à un plastron de chemise ou à tout autre accessoire dont la mise en place com- pliquait les opérations d'habillage et dont la présence détour- nait l'attention du vêtement présenté.
Pour remédier à ces inconvénients, on ménage dans le

gabarit 2, conformément à la disposition principale de l'in- vention, en regard de l'échancrure dont il vient d'être ques- tion, un évidement de forme substantiellement semblable à celle de la susdite échancrure.
On pourrait, dans un but décoratif, agencer alors de manière telle, le contour du susdite évidement, que ledit con- tour soit apparent, auquel cas on pourrait le border avec tous accessoires propres à mettre en valeur le vêtement présenté, par exemple avec une bande métallique chromée.
Il semble cependant préférable d'attribuer au susdit contour. 4 des dimensions supérieures à celles de l'échancrure correspondante du veston 1, en sorte que la paroi extérieure du gabarit 2 soit entièrement cachée par le susdit veston.
On conçoit en effet, comme le montrent par ailleurs de façon explicite les figo 2 et 4, que le col 3 débordera sur le contour 4 si l'évidement ménagé dans le gabarit 2 est plus ouvert que l'échancrure limitée par le susdit col 3.
On ménage également, lorsque c'est nécessaire, à la base du gabarit 2, un-évidement dont le contour 5 est recouvert par les bords arrondis 6 du veston 1.
Dans ces conditions, le regard d'un observateur situé en face du mannequin habillé pourra pénétrer à l'intérieur du gabarit 2 par les échancrures du veston habillant le susdit ga- barit.
On peut alors, selon que l'on désire ou non rendre apparente la doublure du susdit veston, avoir recours à divers modes de réalisation de l'invention et notamment à l'un de ceux qu'illustrent les fig. 1 et 2, d'une part, et les fig. 3 et 4, d'autre part.
Suivant le premier de ces modes de réalisation, au- quel on a plus spécialement recours lorsque l'on ne désire pas mettre en évidence la propre doublure du vêtement présenté, on fait comporter un dos au gabarit 2 et l'on dissimule la paroi intérieure de ce dos par tout revêtement approprié tel qu'une

peinture, un vernis, ou encore, et de préférence, un tissus 7 du genre de ceux utilisés pour établir les doublure de veston, le susdit revêtement étant avantageusement muni d'une étiquette de tailleur 8, telle que celles habituellement cousues à l'in- térieur des vestons.
L'observateur éprouve alors l'impression que le re- vêtement 7 constitue la véritable doublure du veston présenté et il ne soupçonne pas la présence du dos du gabarit 2 entré le susdit revêtement et le dos, du susdit veston.
Lorsqu'on désire au contraire que la doublure du vê- tement présenté soit visible, on a avantageusement recours au mode de réalisation faisant l'objet des fig. 3 et 4.
Suivant ce mode de réalisation, on supprime les par- ties du gabarit qui sont susceptibles d'être vues à travers les échancrures du vêtement présenté. C'est ainsi que, pour la pré- sentation d'un veston tel que celui représenté sur le dessin, on établit un gabarit 2 ne comportant pas de dos. On prévoit alors, pour maintenir le col du veston, un support 9 propre à épouser intérieurement la forme de l'encolure du susdit veston.
On peut établir ce support en métal chromé, ou en toute autre matière. On peut également le recouvrir avec un tissu semblable à celui constituant la doublure du veston présenté.
On complète enfin avantageusement, dans tous les cas, un tel mannequin par un support réglable que l'on peut consti- tuer, par exemple, par un montant vertical 10 le long duquel peut coulisser un plateau 11 solidaire du gabarit 2, des col- liers de blocage 12 étant prévus pour permettre d'immobiliser le susdit plateau par rapport au susdit montant.
Suivant un autre mode d'application de l'invention, faisant l'objet de la fig. 5, on procède comme il vient d'être dit pour établir un buste-mannequin pour la présentation d'un vêtement féminin tel qurobe 13.

En suite de quoi et quel que soit le mode de réalisa- tion adopté, on obtient un buste-mannequin qui présente, entre autres avantages, celui de pouvoir être complètement dissimulé par le vêtement qu'il supporte. L'observateur éprouve alors l'illusion que le susdit vêtement est figé dans la position qu'il doit occuper sur le corps de l'usager et il en résulte un effet publicitaire original propre à retenir l'attention du susdit observateur et à éveiller sa curiosité.
Comme il va de soi, et comme il résulte d'ailleurs déjà de ce qui précède, l'invention ne se limite nullement à celui de ses modes d'application, non plus qu'à ceux des modes de réalisation de ses diverses parties, ayant été plus spécia- lement indiqués ;
en embrasse, au contraire, toutes les va- riantes, notamment, celles où il serait prévu dans le gabarit constituant es- sentiellement les appareils du genre en question, des écnancru- res autres que celles ayant été plus spécialement explicitées dans ce qui précède, par-exemple lorsque les susdits appareils seraient destinés à la présentation d'habits de cérémonie tels que des gilets de frac, et celles où l'on disposerait, à l'intérieur du susdit gabarit, tout accessoire de présentation, tel par exemple qu'un dispositif d'éclairage indirect ou un fond de tissu propre à - accentuer l'originalité de la présentation.

The invention relates to apparatus for the presentation of clothing; and it concerns more particularly (because it is in their case that its application seems to present the most interest), but not exclusively, among these devices, the busts-mannequins for the presentation of jackets, overcoats, vests or any other clothing, male or female, likely to fit on a bust.
Its aim, above all, is to make these devices such that they respond better than to date to the various desiderata of practice, in particular that they allow a presentation of the clothes to be obtained. more original, simpler and more aesthetic.
It consists, mainly - and at the same time

that essentially constitute the devices of the kind in question by a suitable template to maintain, partially at least, the garment to be presented in the form that it must take on the body of the user - to be provided in this template , opposite at least some of the notches that the aforesaid garment comprises, recesses to which dimensions are preferably assigned greater than those of the aforesaid notches, so that the outer wall of the said jig is entirely hidden by the garment supported by the device.
Apart from this main provision, it consists of certain other provisions which are preferably used at the same time and which will be discussed more explicitly below.
It relates more particularly to a certain mode of application (that for which it is applied to mannequin busts), as well as certain embodiments, of the aforesaid provisions; and it relates more particularly still, and this by way of new industrial products, to the apparatus of the type in question comprising application of these same provisions, the special elements and tools (in particular the molds) specific to their establishment, as well as the installations. and sets comprising similar devices.
And it can, in any event, be clearly understood with the aid of the additional description which follows as well as the accompanying drawings, which supplement and drawings are, of course, given above all by way of indication.
Fig. 1, of these drawings, shows, in perspective, a mannequin for jackets, prepared in accordance with the invention.
Fig. 2 represents the same mannequin, dressed in a jacket.

variant of the aforesaid mannequin.
Fig. 5, finally, shows, also in perspective, a dressed mannequin, established in accordance with the invention, for the presentation of a female garment.
According to the invention, and more especially according to that of its modes of application, as well as those of the embodiments of its various parts, to which it seems that preference should be given, proposing. To establish an apparatus for the presentation, for example and first of all, of a jacket 1, the procedure is as follows, or in a similar manner.
Such an apparatus is essentially constituted by a template 2 capable of maintaining, at least partially, the jacket 1 in the shape that it should take on the body of the user. Although it is possible to envisage providing the aforesaid jig with arms, it seems preferable, in order to facilitate the operations of dressing and undressing the mannequin, to give it substantially the appearance of a human trunk.
Such a template can be made from any customary suitable material, for example molded cardboard, plastic, stamped sheet or wire mesh. It is also possible, in order to allow it to be adapted to various sizes of jackets, to combine it with adjustment means making it possible to modify its capacity.
In devices of this type established to date, the outer wall of the template was uncovered facing the indentations of the jacket covering the said template, in particular opposite the indentation limited by the collar 3 of the aforesaid jacket.
In order to conceal this visible portion of the aforesaid wall, recourse was then had to a fabric covering, a shirt plastron or any other accessory the fitting of which complicated the dressing operations and whose presence detour. - arises the attention of the clothing presented.
To remedy these drawbacks, care is taken in the

template 2, in accordance with the main arrangement of the invention, opposite the notch just mentioned, a recess of shape substantially similar to that of the aforesaid notch.
One could, for a decorative purpose, then arrange in such a way, the outline of the aforesaid recess, that said outline is apparent, in which case it could be border with any accessories suitable for enhancing the garment presented, for example with a chrome metal strip.
However, it seems preferable to attribute to the aforesaid outline. 4 dimensions greater than those of the corresponding indentation of the jacket 1, so that the outer wall of the template 2 is completely hidden by the aforesaid jacket.
It can be seen, in fact, as is explicitly shown in Figs 2 and 4, that the neck 3 will overflow onto the contour 4 if the recess made in the template 2 is more open than the notch limited by the aforementioned neck 3 .
When necessary, there is also provided at the base of the template 2, a recess whose outline 5 is covered by the rounded edges 6 of the jacket 1.
Under these conditions, the gaze of an observer located in front of the dressed mannequin will be able to penetrate inside the template 2 through the notches of the jacket dressing the aforesaid tube.
It is then possible, depending on whether or not one wishes to make the lining of the aforesaid jacket apparent, resort to various embodiments of the invention and in particular to one of those illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2, on the one hand, and fig. 3 and 4, on the other hand.
According to the first of these embodiments, which is used more especially when it is not desired to highlight the own lining of the garment presented, a back is made to include the template 2 and the inner wall is concealed. of this back by any suitable covering such as

paint, varnish, or even, and preferably, a fabric 7 of the type used to establish the jacket lining, the aforesaid coating being advantageously provided with a tailor's label 8, such as those usually sewn in - outer jacket.
The observer then experiences the impression that the covering 7 constitutes the real lining of the jacket presented and he does not suspect the presence of the back of the template 2 entered the aforesaid coating and the back of the aforesaid jacket.
When, on the contrary, it is desired that the lining of the garment shown be visible, recourse is had to the embodiment forming the subject of FIGS. 3 and 4.
According to this embodiment, the parts of the template which are likely to be seen through the cutouts of the garment presented are eliminated. Thus, for the presentation of a jacket such as that shown in the drawing, a template 2 is established which does not include a back. In order to maintain the collar of the jacket, there is then provided a support 9 suitable for internally conforming to the shape of the neckline of the aforesaid jacket.
This support can be made in chromed metal, or in any other material. It can also be covered with a fabric similar to that constituting the lining of the jacket presented.
Finally, advantageously, in all cases, such a mannequin is completed by an adjustable support which can be constituted, for example, by a vertical upright 10 along which can slide a plate 11 integral with the template 2, collars. Locking links 12 being provided to enable the aforesaid plate to be immobilized relative to the aforesaid amount.
According to another mode of application of the invention, forming the subject of FIG. 5, one proceeds as it has just been said to establish a bust-mannequin for the presentation of a female garment such as dress 13.

As a result and whatever the embodiment adopted, a mannequin bust is obtained which has, among other advantages, that of being able to be completely concealed by the garment it supports. As goes without saying, and as it follows moreover already from what precedes, the invention is in no way limited to that of its modes of application, nor to those of the embodiments of its various parts, having been more specially indicated;
embraces, on the contrary, all the variants, in particular, those where it would be provided in the template essentially constituting the devices of the type in question, scales other than those having been more specially explained in the foregoing, for example when the aforesaid devices would be intended for the presentation of ceremonial clothes such as frock vests, and those where one would have, inside the aforesaid template, any presentation accessory, such as for example an indirect lighting device or a clean fabric background - accentuate the originality of the presentation.
