Brazing welding process. Currently copper welding (brazing) is carried out either by brass rods, pellets or in a bath.
These different processes have the drawback of giving the surface of the castings castings of copper, of flux (limestone) which requires additional work for their removal; moreover, the copper cannot reach the entire surface to be welded.
The method according to the invention overcomes this drawback; this method comprises inserting between the surfaces to be welded a sheet of brass or the like and heating the parts to be welded to a suitable temperature to obtain the melting of the brass or the like; the brass sheet is previously coated on its faces with borax or similar material; in this way the welding takes place all along the surface to be welded and consequently a very intimate meeting of the two parts is obtained; on the other hand, it is not observed in this process of casting metal or of flux, which eliminates any subsequent finishing; it also allows an appreciable saving of brass (50%) and of skilled labor by the actual brazing.

In the particular case of brazing tubes of bicycles, motorcycles etc ... connected by interlocking, the invention provides that the inner tube is lined at its end with a brass sheet socket which comes to interpose in the socket between the inner face of the outer tube or fitting and the outer face of the inner tube or fitting.
The invention also relates as a new product to elements or articles suitable for soldering by brazing consisting of sheets of brass or the like having a geometric shape appropriate to the shape of the surfaces of the parts to be welded. It is also addressed to. this title to elements or articles for the brazing of tubes of bicycles, motorcycles etc .. constituted by bushes of brass sheets whose diameter and shape correspond to the diameter and shape of the tubes to be welded.
Thanks to the invention, by giving the brass sheet a surface area equal to that of the surfaces to be welded, it is possible to obtain an intimate brazing in the mass of the junction between the two parts.
The invention is of course not limited either to the shape of the parts to be welded, or to the shape of the welding surfaces, or to the destination of the parts to. solder.
