<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

"Articulated shield for the construction of curved gallery coverings for tunnels, geouts and the like".
The present invention relates to an articulated shield, removable and dismountable, used for the construction of coverings of galleries of any shape, tunnels, geouts and the like, in all materials used for this use.
The perfected boualier. is characterized by the fact that the hanger is formed of two hinged sections along a longitudinal axis, the frame of each section of the hanger comprising lateral supports in the form of jacks, integral with said frames. The shield is de-bent and expanded with the aid of a tensioner screw engaged in tensioner nuts secured in the frame of the handlebar sections, in a direction parallel to the hinge axis.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The invention will be dtlailleurs described below, by way of example, with reference to the accompanying drawing, FIG. 1 being an end elevation and FIG. 2 a vertical section in the axis of the shield.
Referring to these figures, the shield has two hanger sections a and b, the members of which a are joined by the hinge pin 10 which joins the hinge faces 9 bolted, by bolts 14 and 17, to the beams of the frames. The hanger sections include, as usual, longitudinal slats @ on which there are planes, preferably in the form of metal sheets. Two sections of hanger can bend and move apart under the action of a tensioner screw 1 ... whose ends engage in tensioner nuts with side arms which pass through the beams of the frames.
The frames are supported laterally by cylinders comprising cylinder screws 3 engaged in nuts which end in a point pressing in blocks lo'ges in the U-shaped seats 18. The cylinders are supported by the hanger sections by supports 6, formed by triangular shaped boxes, inside which the jack screw 1 is pivoted, pa cun eyelet end, to the jack pivot y. however, the cylinder vacuum itself is guided between two
Stop ions 8 which pass through the casings 6. The casings 6 are integral with the assembly plates 15 and 16, which are bolted to the frame by lug bolts 11 and ordinary bolts 12 and 13.
It is enough to maneuver the tensioner screw 1 by means of pliers or a mine bar, to bring the handlebar sections closer or apart, and the Jack nuts 4, can adjust the support of the sections by simply operating them. by radial arms, so as to move the screw 3 away from its nut 4.

in hard materials. Cleciritrog vaults is quick and easy and allows the materials constituting the covering to settle normally without deformation.
It should be noted that the jacks forming lateral supports, allow the shield to be placed at the desired inclination in the case of sloping galleries. The shield may be supported by any inferior construction which allows its
