Aux dessins annexés, donnés uniquement à titre d'e- xemple t la figure 1 est une vue schématique,en élévation, la benne étant dans la position fermée ; la figure 2 est une vue analogue la benne étant dans une position d'ouverture intermédiaire à partir de laquelle le linguet de verrouillage va basculer ; la figure 3 est une vue analogue de la benne verrouil- lée dans la position d'ouverture maxima ; la figure 4 est une vue en plan schématique du méca- nisme porté par le oaisson central de la benne ; la figure 5 est une vue de face schématique dudit mé- oanisme ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
Or, Inaction des biellettes tend à faire ouvrir les coquilles 3-3a pendant que l'action des cibles 6, par l'in- terlédiaire des chaînes de mouflage 9-9' tend à rapprocher les coquilles, otest-à-dire à fermer la benne ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

Advanced central oaisson body
The present invention relates to an improved body with a central oaisson in which the opening of the shells is ensured by connecting rods or similar members articulated on the one hand on the shells and on the other hand on one or more rotating parts. carried by the central box and on which are fixed opening troughs, the closing being ensured by means of one or more closing cables acting via a central drum integral with drums on the $ which $ rewind cables are wound between the two shells of the skip,
According to the invention,
this bucket comprises a safety device arranged in such a way that it prevents the

the body is closed when it has been fully open for the entire time it is not resting either on the floor or on the goods.
According to one embodiment, the safety device comprises, in combination, a latch connected to the opening rods of the shells, and arranged so as to be maneuvered by the opening cable when the bucket is almost completely. open and a ratchet integral with the closing drum and in contact with which the latch comes into contact when it is operated / in such a way that Inaction of the closing cable on the reeving chains tending to close the shells, is found annihilated by the action of the opening rods driven by the latch.
In the accompanying drawings, given only by way of example: FIG. 1 is a schematic view, in elevation, the bucket being in the closed position; FIG. 2 is a similar view, the bucket being in an intermediate open position from which the locking pawl will tilt; FIG. 3 is a similar view of the bucket locked in the maximum open position; FIG. 4 is a schematic plan view of the mechanism carried by the central oaisson of the bucket; Figure 5 is a schematic front view of said mechanism;
FIG. 6 is a front view showing a particular form of the latch and the locking roohet; FIG. 7 represents a detail of a variant,
According to the exemplary embodiment shown, the skip comprises, as known, a central box 1 on which are articulated, around axes 3 and 2a, the shells 3 and 3a.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
On the central shaft 4 carried by the box 1 is mounted a drum 5 called "closing". On this drum 5 are wound one or two cables or closing chains 6 guided at the upper part of the box 1 by a pulley 7. This drum 5 is secured to two other drums 8-8 '(Figure 4) for example frustoconical, of a smaller diameter and arranged on either side of the drum 5 and coaxially with it. On these drums 8-8 'are wound the chains 9 and 9' of closure fixed on the drum 5. (Note that these chains may form only one chain that can slide in a transverse hole, or hawse drum 5 ).
Each 9-9 'closing chain (or each strand of the single chain located on one side of the drum 5) is fixed at one of its ends at a fixed 10-10' point. The chain 9-9 'then passes over the two pulleys 11'11a or 11 lisa fixed on the shells 3 and 3a and facing each other, rolls up, eye there, on the conical drum 8 or 8 and comes attach to drum 5 (or slide in this drum).
The opening mechanism of the bucket comprises parts 12-12 'mounted on the central shaft 4 and controlling each of the links 13-13 articulated on the one hand at 14-14a on the shells 3 and 3a and on the other part on part 12 or 12 'in 15 or 15a.
According to the invention and according to the exemplary embodiment shown, the mechanism is completed as follows at each end of the drums 8 and 8 and, as these drums of the lifting drum 5, is arranged a ratchet 16 or 16 '. , Each part 12 or 12 'carrying the opening links 13 and 13a is integral in rotation
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
a 17-17 'lever and an 18-18' sector.
On each of the two levers 17-17 'is articulated around an axis 19 a latch 20-20'. An opening cable
21 guided by an upper pulley 22 is connected to the tabs 20-20 'by a pin 23. A recoil spring 24 recalls each latch in the direction of arrow f1 (FIG. 1). This spring is fixed at its opposite end to sector 18.
The operation is as follows: The bucket being assumed to be closed and returned to its emptying point, it is supported by the closure target (s) 6 (FIG. 1).
To open, the opening cable 21 is braked while slack is given to the closing cable (s) 6. The sector 18 under Inaction of the weight of the skip, turns by acting on the connecting rods 13-13a which make themselves or. screw the bucket.
When the bucket is almost completely open (figure 2), sector 18 (or 18 ') having turned, the latch
20 has also changed position since it is fixed to said sector 18 and point 23 attaches the opening cable
21 is in line with the point 19 of articulation of the sector and the tangent to the guide pulley 22 at the point of contact of the target 21 with this pulley,
The opening movement continuing (Figure 3) the point 23 of attachment exceeds the line set above, and. the opening target 21 pulls on the latch 20.
This traction being equal in principle to the weight of the bucket multiplied by the lever arm x (figure 3) this traction is amply sufficient to overcome the pressure of the spring 24 and the latch 20 pivot around the axis 19, following the direction the arrow f2 and comes / engage under the rock; 16 of the ironwork drum which itself turned for
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
tipper cover. At this time, the bucket is fully open.
By pulling on the closing cable (s) 6, the closing drum 5 is driven in the direction of arrow 3 (figure 6) as well as the ratchet.
16 but this ratchet which is in contact with the pawl 20 transmits the thrust of the ratchet / to the opening sector 18 which itself transmits this thrust to the rods 13 and 13a, according to the arrows f4 and f5 (figures 3 and 5) ,
However, the inaction of the connecting rods tends to make the shells 3-3a open while the action of the targets 6, by means of the reeving chains 9-9 ', tends to bring the shells closer together, that is to say to close. the dumpster;
the antagonistic forces are canceled and the bucket is raised open and can then be maneuvered, i.e. raised or lowered by means of the cable (s) 6. i.e. by the closing drum
The significant pressure exerted between the latch 20 and the roohet 16 resulting from the opposing forces of the rods and the reeving chains of the bucket, opposes the release of the latch 20 which could occur under inaction of the spring 24.
Moreover, the contact surfaces of the pawl 20 and of the ratchet 16 may have a certain slope firmly attaching these two parts (FIG. 6).
It should also be noted that the force of the closing chains of the bucket on the shells is equal to the weight of this bucket multiplied by the ratio of the large drum 5 and the conical drums 8-8 then multiplied by the number of windings. With the chains 9-9 ', this force is amply sufficient to combat the antagonistic force of the spring 24.
When the bucket is placed at the gripping point, or rested on the ground, the cable or cables 6 relax paroe that $ no longer have to support the weight of the bucket.
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
The pressure between the latch 20 and the ratchet 16 becomes zero and under Inaction of the spring 24, the latch 20 is raised according to the arrow f6 (FIG. 3) and releases the ratchet 16.
By making a traotion on the closing cable, the closing drum which is free, turns while rolling up the reeving chains, and the bucket closes.
In FIG. 7 there is shown a variant beyond 11 - * - Stops 26 are placed on the central beam so as to limit the rotation of the sectors 18 in the direction of coverage of the shells. When the pawls 20 driven by the drum 5 seek to drive the sectors 18 and the opening links, the movement is stopped by the stops 26, and the bucket can neither close nor open further.
Of course, the invention is in no way limited to the embodiments shown and described which have been chosen only by way of example.
