Ciseaux pliants
La présente invention se rapporte à des ciseaux pliants et a pour objet de combiner le corps d'un couxteau de poche avec une paire de ciseaus a double boucle de prise, s'ouvrant automatiquement et prêts a servir quand on soulevé les pointes des ciseaux avec l'ongle du pouce, ou se refermant dans le corps ou étui du couteau par une seule opération, des ciseaux ainsi formés constituant un bon instrument utilisable pour toute sorte de besions.
Les couxteaus de poche usuels ont, comme ciseaux, une tige droite directement reliée au corps ou étui du couteau, et une autre tige droite sans partie arquée, et sur laguelle on appuie avec le pouce ou un autre doigt; mais de tels ciseaux sont d'un maniement très incommode et ne rendent pas grand service.
Le dessin ci-annexé rend compte du principe sur - lequel l'invention est établie; il indique: fig. 1, en élévation, les ciseaux sortis de leur logement et prêts a fonctionner;

Le corps A, qui peut avec avantage avoir la forme B sur un côté (figure 4) ou la forme B' sur les deux cotes, afin d'enfermer complètement les anneaux de prise des ciseaux, peut être muni d'une ou plusieurs lames de couteaux F, de pointes G, de pinces H, ou autres piéces accessoires qu'on ajoute d'or dinaire aux couteaux de poche, mais qui, par elles-mêmes, ne font pas partie de l'invention.
Les ciseaux associés à l'instrument comportent un arc fixe C sur une brancha, tandis que l'autre branche D tient au corps du couteau de poche par le même pivot D' qui porte l'arc de pivotement E de cette branche. La branche D est munie d'un bouton, d'un rivet ou d'une autre pièce équivalents K qui porte contre l'arc mobile E pour l'amener automatiquement dans la position d'ouverture ou de fermeture, quand on fait sortir du corps A les ciseaux ou qu'on les y fait rentrer, en soulevant les pointes avec l'ongle à l'endroite marqué A.
Le dos du corps du couteau de poche est une pièce en acier ou en autre métal, fendue longitudinalement comme il est indig- ué en L, afin de former des lames de ressort en nombre égal à celui des lames de couteaux et autres éléments que comporte le couteau de poche.

Le corps du couteau de poche peut être fait en una matière appropriée quelconque avec ou sans ornement, et être manie d'une échelle de graduation si on le juge utile.

Folding scissors
The present invention relates to folding scissors and it is an object to combine the body of a pocket squiggle with a pair of double loop grip scissors, automatically opening and ready for use when the tips of the scissors are lifted with thumbnail, or closing in the body or knife case by a single operation, scissors thus formed constituting a good instrument usable for all kinds of needs.
The usual pocket couplings have, like scissors, a straight rod directly connected to the body or sheath of the knife, and another straight rod without an arched part, and on the wick you press with the thumb or another finger; but such scissors are very awkward to handle and do not do much service.
The accompanying drawing gives an account of the principle on which the invention is based; it indicates: fig. 1, in elevation, the scissors out of their housing and ready to operate;

The body A, which can advantageously have the form B on one side (figure 4) or the form B 'on both sides, in order to completely enclose the scissor grip rings, can be fitted with one or more blades. knives F, points G, pliers H, or other accessory parts which are added to pocket knives, but which, by themselves, do not form part of the invention.
