"Method of preparing an adhesive and adhesive obtained by this method".
The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of an adhesive comprising rosin intended mainly to be spread on coarroids so as to prevent slippage thereof.
According to the invention, rosin is added to oil and the mixture is boiled. Rubber is then added and heating is continued until the pieces of rubber are gone. To facilitate the disappearance of the last pieces of rubber, one peat ajoater an pea of hydrochloric acid, at the end of the chaaffage oa after this.
To carry out this process, one proceeds for example as known: one takes one deciliter of rapeseed oil, one takes

ajoate 50 gr. rosin and heat the jasqa 'mixture to boiling. A less amount of rosin would have the effect of reducing the adhesive power of the product finally obtained; while a higher proportion would have the effect of rendering the product practically inoperable at the expense of its too large adhesive strength.
By way of example, it should be noted qae if approximately 65 gr. of rosin, the product obtained is not used practically.
About 1100 gr is added to this mixture. rubber and we continued to chaaffer jasqa'a when the pieces of rubber are gone. making this time, we can optionally add 2 cm3 of creoline. When we estimate that the rubber pieces have disappeared, we eventually play 5 gr. aniline. We stop chaffing and we
3 ajoate 3 cm of hydrochloric acid also known commercially soas the name of mariatic acid. this addition has the effect of possibly facilitating the disappearance of the remaining small pieces of rubber.
The product obtained is then filtered and placed in cans while it is hot.
This gives about 1 kg. of adhesive qai peat is retained indefinitely and qai, when it is spread lightly on a belt, considerably increases the adhesion of the latter relative to the poalies on which it passes.
It is obvious that the invention is not exclusively limited to a particalier process as it has just been described and that modifications could be made in the proportion of the constituents involved in the production, without going beyond the scope of this patent. .
