As the novelty of the apparatus lies in various parts thereof, to facilitate the description, recourse will be had to a practical embodiment of said apparatus, shown by way of example in the accompanying drawings. In these, figure 1 shows the device in elevation from one of its sides, and the figure the same device from the opposite side.
The apparatus consists of a frame 1, which can be leveled with the aid of eorous 3, on which is mounted the electric motor 3, the shaft 4 of which is extended on both sides by one of those said shaft acts, by means of a worm b, on a rotating plate 6 which supports the phonographic plates. between the worm .5 and the end of the shaft 4 are arranged two rubber sleeves 7 and an intermediate shaft 8, by means of which are arranged the oscillations which the transmission of the movement of the shaft could experience abruptly 4 to the worm 5 are completely damped by the elasticity of said sleeves.
The mechanism for actuating the plate 6 is mounted on the frame 1 and fixed with screws 9 and nuts 10 by means of rubber washers 11 and also rubber plates 12. At 13 are find the pickup. and at 14 a protection.
On the other side of the motor, the shaft 4 is provided with flywheels 15 and a box for changing the direction of movement 16 which, by means of a cardan joint 17. communicates with another box 18 which has a bypass. 19 to communicate movement to the film control mechanism when the latter passes in front of the photocell.
-The shaft 20 which comes out of the box 18, by means of another set of cardan shafts 21, communicated the other movement to the gears of a box 22 which actuate a toothed wheel 23, which, by means of a chain 34, communicates the movement to a pinion 25 whose shaft 26 transmits it to the Maltese cross and to the other mechanisms for driving and passing the film 27 by the cinematographic projection mechanism 28, In 29 se

finds the drum where the film 27 is stored before being projected, provided on each side with a window 30 with glass; the drum is variable in its position thanks to a joint
31.
At 38 is the film receiving drum after the projection having a viewing window 33 with glass and a locking handle 34 The aro voltaic is installed in a boot 35 with doors 66 which have viewing windows 37 with glass. color. -The arc is adjusted using the rods 38. The box 35 is installed so that it can slide on bars 39 of the general support 40 of the cinematographic projection mechanism.
This mechanism has at 41 the Maltese cross, at 42 the driving rollers, at 43 the set of lenses and at 44 the shutter. The whole of the cinematographic projection mechanism can be inclined because it is articulated at 45, the inclination being controlled by means of a hand wheel 46 secured to a screw 47 which can be traversed. by a nut 48 pivoted to the support 40. The screw
47 acts on a part 49, articulated at 50 to the general frame of
1 device.
In 51 is placed the luminous focus capable of impressing, through the optical system housed in a photoelectric cell arranged in 53. Between this cell 33 and the optical system
52 plays the cinematographic film 27 which carries the image producing the light variations of the focus 51 on the cell. this film enters the box 54, provided with a glass door 55, through a slot 56, and leaves it through a recess 57, When the film only carries cinematographic images, the sound being produced by means of discs installed on the plate 6, it enters the boot 54 through the slot 58, from which it can pass directly. ment to the recess 57, which avoids unnecessary friction.
In b9 is the head amplifier, combined with the two sound reproduction installations.
-The apparatus having been described in such a detailed manner, it suffices to pay attention to the drawing to understand its operation, as well in the case of operation of the sound system.
