<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

Snipe weapon.
The present invention relates to recoiling bolt firearms such as pistols, rifles, machine guns.
Its main purpose is a new percussion system and locking the bolt when firing.
According to the invention the maneuvering of the trigger causes the arming and release of the firing pin while this trigger blocks the bolt during firing so as to oppose the recoil of the latter by a force which allows the increase of the range of the ball. The retraction of the lock, which can be carried out automatically or by hand, returns the trigger to its initial position.
Other subjects of the invention will emerge from the description below.
The appended drawings show, by way of nonlimiting example, various embodiments of the invention. This extends to the various original features colored by the arrangements represented.

automatic pistol according to another embodiment of the invention
Fig. 3 is a sectional view in a rifle according to the invention.
In the case of fig.l, the gun comprises a barrel 2 fixed to the breech 3 of the gun. In this cylinder head is mounted a cylindrical lock 4 which can slide therein.
In this lock is disposed a striker 5 surrounding a spring 5a bearing on the one hand against a shoulder formed by a washer 5d and on the other hand against another washer 5f sliding on the rod of the striker capable of resting against the bottom of the lock by rotating the extractor 6 in the direction of attachment. The . spring 5a acts both as a recovery and a percussion spring.
A trigger 7 pivoting around a part 7a fixed to the frame 8 of the weapon carries a finger 7d. The trigger 7 is articulated at 9a to a part 9 pivoting at gb on a piston 10 sliding in the frame of the weapon and subjected to the action of a spring 10a,
The pivot points 9b, 9a and 7a are set so that in the position shown corresponding to the rest position of the trigger, the articulation point 9a is located outside the line gb-7a.
To start the shot, we act on an auxiliary trigger 11 pivoted in 11a on the carcass of the like. The operation of the auxiliary trigger 11 being against the action of a spring 11b has the effect of 1 releasing the spout 7b of the trigger out of the notch
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
corresponding of the auxiliary trigger as a result of 1 lowering thereof, 2 to push the trigger 7 until the articulation point 9a passes to the other side of the line 9b-7a. From this moment the continuation of the trigger movement is determined only by the action of the spring 10a.
During this movement the finger 7d hooked the nose 5m of the percussion rod withdraws the percator back by compressing the recuperator spring 5a by means of the washer 5f until under the effect of the inclination of the finger 7d , the percussion rod follows released, the firing pin causing the deflagration of the cartridge located in the barrel.
At the time of the release of the nose 5m, an element 7c integral with the trigger is placed in a corresponding notch 4a provided in the lock Ci.} So as to oppose the displacement of the latter towards the rear and therefore to lock the lock 4.
Under the effect of the reaction of the ball, the latch 4 pushes on the element 7c ae so as to cause the trigger to pivot to return it to its initial position shown, the movement of the latch being against the action in the recovery spring
The adjustment of the locking force is determined by the adjustment of the elastic member 10a by means of a nut 12 screwing into the carcass of the magnet.
The gun is fed from a magazine 13.
The entire barrel of the breech and the bolt is pivoted on the carcass of the aim around a point 8a. To allow the barrel to pivot, an element 13f subjected to the action of a spring 13a and pivoted on the frame of the arma comprised a
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
lug 13b which engages in a corresponding recess in the cylinder head. A simple push on the element 13 makes it possible to release the breech and the whole of the barrel of the breech and of the bolt can pivot about its axis 8a so as to facilitate access and repair of the internal mechanism of the bolt.
It is easy to realize that the weapon described is never armed. In addition, the auxiliary trigger 11 constitutes a very effective safety.
To facilitate the manufacture of such a weapon, the carcass can in particular be produced by joining two half-carcasses electrically welded along the longitudinal plane of the weapon.
In the case of fig.2, the weapon is fed by a chain 14 moving in the direction of the arrow. This chain can be constituted by an endless chain and be fed automatically,
In the position shown, the weapon shows the arrangement of the mechanism at the end of the recoil of the bolt 4. Under the action of the recovery spring, not shown, the bolt 4 moves towards the front of the weapon dragging with it. the cartridge 14a by removing it from the elastic clips 14b of the chain.
The movement of the chain in the opposite direction of the arrow is during the advancing movement of the latch prevented by a finger 15 subjected to the action of a spring 15a and which is in the field of the displacement of the axis. 14d of the chain.
When the cartridge is engaged in the barrel and that the weapon is closed, if one pushes on the trigger 7,
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
the point of articulation 9a between the latter and the element 9, passes on either side of the action line 7a-9b. Under the action of the spring 10a the trigger 7 is violently thrown against the percussion rod 5b of the firing pin 5 which causes the deflagration of the cartridge
The lock is locked by the contact pressure between the trigger 7 and the inclined rear face 4b of this lock.
Under the effect of the reaction of the ball, the bolt moves back by pushing back the trigger 7. At the same time an elastic stopper 4c integral with the lock and which is engaged in front of the finger 14f of the chain, pulls the latter in the direction of the arrow which brings a new cartridge in front of the barrel chamber .A this moment, the bolt returns to the front and at the moment of closing one, - rod da aétente not shown actuates this one
In the two figures described, the extraction of the fired cartridge and the ejection are carried out in the usual way, but it goes without saying that one can also provide other embodiments of the extraction and ejection devices.
In the case of fig. 3 the barrel 2a of the rifle and the breech 2b in which the bolt 4 moves are made in one piece.
The lock 4 is articulated at its rear part to a cocking rod 15. Locking of the bolt 4 is achieved by a lug 15a belonging to the cocking rod and being housed in a suitable notch of the breech,
The extraction is ensured by the complete fitting of the base of the socket; for this purpose the latch 4 is grooved at the front on a half-circumference and comprises a part 4m articulated in 4r intended to close the base of the), socket.
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
The percussion device comprises a trigger 7 pivoted at 7a e-t carrying a striker 5. An opening suitable for the passage of the striker is provided in the latch 4. A rod 9 surrounded by a spring 10a is pivoted at 9a on said trigger. The spring is supported on the one hand against a fixed part of the rod located on the side of the articulation 9a and on the other hand against a movable washer 10b sliding on said rod and bearing against an elbow lever 16.
In the cocking position of the rifle, that is to say in the position for which the arm 7f of the trigger occupies a position perpendicular to the axis of the barrels, the line of action of the spring 10a passes below the articulation point 7a. If we act on the trigger after a slight displacement of the latter, this movement continues under the action of the spring 10a to achieve the percussion of the cartridge located in the barrel.
The opening of the weapon is done by lowering the cocking rod 15 until its lug 15a comes out of the notch of the breech. This lowering of the percussion lever is done against the action of the spring 10a by means of the angled lever 16.
When removing the lock from the rear, a pin 4s belonging to the articulated part 4m abuts against a stop 4t provided in the housing of the lock and forces this part to tilt against the action of the spring 4p which performs the extraction and ejecting the cartridge. It should be noted that this device facilitates the introduction of a new cartridge due to the fact that the front of the lock (articulated part) is located outside the
