" Gicleur - Vaporiseur "
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

"Jet - Vaporizer"
The present invention relates to a spray nozzle which is mounted in place of the normal nozzle of any type of carburetor, and which is intended to more thoroughly mix air with carbonated gasoline.
The spray nozzle consists essentially of a casing inside which is placed a porous material, such as for example activated charcoal, and which comprises at its upper part an air intake, and at its lower part a ordinary nozzle, a six-pana nozzle, or any other nozzle, the different elements being brought together by interposing tight joints, so that inside the vaporizer, no body can get in. foreign.
This porous body comprises canalisa- tions of all shapes and kinds, the purpose of which is
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
to guide the carbonated gasoline and 1 = air and thus cause inside this porous material, an intimate mixture of this @ two elements of combustion. From this spray nozzle the mixture is immediately brought to the cylinder where combustion takes place, since it can be mounted on the engine, instead of the normal nozzle.
The essential advantages of the present invention are the regularization of the flow of gasoline and air, the porous material acting as a true filter, the good filling of the cylinders and a better use of the fuel. The results obtained from the spray nozzle tests are as follows: Increase in power, better engine pick-up, smoothness of the vehicle, greater suction side and great fuel economy.
Other characteristics of the present invention will emerge from the description below, made with reference to the figures of the appended drawing, which represent, by way of indicative and non-limiting example, an embodiment of the present invention.
In these figures: FIG. 1 is a cross section along a plane of symmetry of the spray nozzle, passing through the air intake; Figure 2 is an elevational view of the spray nozzle; Figure 3 is a plan view of the spray nozzle; Figure 4 is a section through a nozzle with six pana, adapted to this nozzle-vaporizer.
Referring to these different figures, A represents the porous material, such as for example activated carbon, which is placed inside a cylindrical aprps B, therefore forming an envelope for this porous material, and which is screwed on on a gioleur holder C which has at its lower part
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
a channel, in which bread: fit the nozzle G or a hexagonal nozzle I, such as that shown in figure 4. D is a fiber gasket, intended to achieve the etanoheity between the nozzle holder C and the carburetor.
To allow fixing, the nozzles are provided with the necessary threads Between the nozzle holder S and the casing B, and the porous material A, is arranged a fiber gasket or any other material E, which is intended to achieve the seal between these elements. At the top of the nozzle and in the center of the porous material A is placed the curved air intake F which is in relation with the atmosphere. This air intake is generally fixed by welding to the rest of the device, and a collar E is also provided at the top of the porous material A, preventing the entry of air inside the nozzle-vaporizer.
Inside the porous material A are provided channels K which vary in shape and size depending on the type of motor to which the apparatus is fitted. The porous material can be, for example perforated right through over its entire height, can be grooved on the outside or cut into a helical or transverse shape, etc.
These oa- nals are in direct relation with the cylinders of the internal combustion engine and each time there is a suction, the carbonated gasoline, coming from the nozzle G, and the air entering the vaporizer by the outlet d 'air F are intimately mixed in contact with the porous material, thus causing instantaneous vaporization, the intimate mixture of air and gasified gasoline then being sucked into the cylinder where combustion takes place.
It is understood that in this vaporizer lion can use any porous material whatsoever, such as for example activated carbon, coke, porous ooroelaine, etc.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
which all can fulfill! The role of filter, regulating the flow and giving a perfect mixture and flawless combustibility.
Although the description provides only 1application of two types of nozzles, it is however understood in the invention all types of nozzles known in the trade and in the art of internal combustion engines.
It goes without saying that the present invention is not limited to the deorite embodiment, and shown in the figures of the appended drawing, but that it can undergo structural modifications, without departing from the field of the invention. .
