"Lock for bicycle".
The present invention relates to a lock for a bicycle; it oonsiste in that the closing is effected by the intervention @ of a bolt which is imparted an up and down movement by an eccentric bolt 1, the bolt being fixed by a spring n, of which the ankle bites in the axis a.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the invention. fig. 1 is a longitudinal section; fig. 2 is a view of the key to the lock.
The control consists of the control rod b and the trainer d. A thread is provided on the control cone b which enables a movement to and from the drive d to be imparted. So that the trainer does not turn with the cone b, we

has placed a spring s fixed on the pressure ring e. this spring makes it easy to hold the driver. When the pedal is operated in forward motion, the cone b is driven and its net pulls the driver d on the hub c. The control groin is thus automatically assembled with the hub c and hence the wheel is set in motion.
As soon as the movement of the pedal stops, the driver detaches from the hub and the hub turns empty without any movement of the pedal. When you want to brake, this operation is carried out as follows: the pressure ring e and the steel plates g are in loose relation with the axis a while the brass lamellae f are in loose relation with the hub . ± .. The axis a on which the steel lamellas g are housed is disabled by the brake lever j. If you reverse with the pedal, the driver d pushes against the pressure ring e and the blades are pressed against each other.
There is thus a friction which brings about a braking action.
The lock is completely hidden in the freewheel; it consists of the eccentric 1, the bolt k, the spring n and the key.!:. The eccentric bolt 1 which is housed in the axis of the freewheel is set in motion with the intervention of the key; the lock bolt or bolt k is mounted on the fire in the pressure ring e of the brake. So that the eccentric bolt cannot turn in the closed or open position, it is secured by the spring n. The latter is housed in the eccentric bolt 1 and bites into the fixed axis; in this way, it prevents the eccentric bolt from turning.
The opening and closing take place as follows: the eccentric bolt has a slot at its front end into which the key is inserted.!:. The latter is pushed into the slot in such a way that its point touches the bevel of the spring n and pushes the latter down; this

operation unlocks the eccentric bolt 1 which can now turn. On the eccentric bolt 1 is the eccentric m which bears in the bolt k. By turning the bolt 1, the bolt k is, through the eccentric m by a rotation of 180, raised (closed) or lowered (open).
In its upward movement, the bolt k bites into the hub ±. in reality in the grooves of the, - melles; in this way it locks the wheel; in fact, the bolt k is housed madly in the pressure ring e, which the four-sided axis a prevents from turning; it is therefore impossible to print a progression movement on the wheel.
This lock has the merit of simplicity over the other locks; it is extremely resistant and safe, because it is completely hidden, does not rust; one cannot open it by putting pressure on it, nor take it away; it must not be carried in a pocket or be placed around the wheel; finally, a freewheel provided with this lock is not heavier than another freewheel.
