<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
se trouve en face du volant-poulie une encoche pratiquée dans l'arbre Y se présente entre les flasques V et V' et c'est dans cette encoche que se loge l'extrémité du levier X qui maintient,ainsi,le.ressort Z' comprimé et la position de la courroie sur le volant-poulie T Dès que la chaîne Z actionnée par la descente de la table J,comme il a été dit plus haut,, tire sur l'extrémité extérieure du levier X;

"Crusher for coals and cokes, with automatic disengagement"
The invention is constituted by the special arrangement of the components of this machine, allowing the crushing of the products according to a variable calibration and the automatic shutdown of the apparatus as soon as an unbreakable body (stone, iron etc. is introduced. in this last.
Crushing is obtained by the descent of peaks G and G 'on the bodies to be broken, driven by the metal conveyor N which slides on the breaking table J.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The peaks G 'which we will call roughing peaks, are fitted into the holes of the plate F itself fixed to the ram D', using bolts or other assembly members.
EMI2.1
This sheep wears, at its .par.t¯ ¯supe'.r9..eure, ¯cïeux. po.rtées in the middle of which fits the foot of the connecting rod F articulating on the axis M 'which passes through the above-designated staves. the
The crankshaft head E 'is articulated around a journal of the crankshaft H which carries two thereof, symmetrically eccentric with respect to the longitudinal axis of the latter.
The connecting rod E articulates around the other journal of the crankshaft; this connecting rod, identical to the connecting rod E 'is articulated on the axis M engaged in the staves of the sheep D identical, itself, to the sheep D'.
The finishing picks G are fitted into the plate F which is fixed to the ram D.
The crankshaft H rests on two bearings I and I 'resting themselves: the bearing I on the frame upright A, the bearing I' on the upright A '. The spacing of these uprights is maintained by the frame flanges B and B 'and the slide spacers C and C' between which slide the sheep D and D '.
On the arrival side of the products, that is to say on the side of the frame upright A ', the crankshaft H carries a flywheel-pulley T which gives it movement, and on the outside an idler pulley U, on the opposite side, it carries a bevel pinion S transmitting the movement to the conveyor N, through the bevel gear S, and the chain wheel or pulley keyed on the transverse shaft P '.
This shaft is supported by two supports 9 and R 'fixed on each side, of the frame upright A. The conveyor N is made up of metal strips fixed to each

end, to the chains responsible for dragging them onto the table
J. These chains are pulled by chain wheels 0 and 0 'keyed to the same shaft, P as the chain wheel or pulley which receives the movement of the chain or belt T', the movement being transmitted indifferently by the 'one or the other.
The shaft P is supported by the supports Q and Q fixed on each side of the frame post A. The tail of the conveyor (side of the A 'post) is made in the same way as the head (side of the A post) the pulley or chain wheel used to transmit less movement.
The table J is articulated in the frame upright A by means of the shaft L and supported, under the collapsing ram by the shaft 1 ', itself resting on two springs K placed between the nerves of the flanges of frame B and B
When an unbreakable body is introduced into the device in action, the latter is stopped by the automatic release of the belt.
Indeed, the peaks G 'having a certain travel to go, can only perform this travel on the condition that the bodies which are located between their points and the breaking table J break. But if we introduce an unbreakable body into the apparatus, this body transmits the weight of the ram D to the table J which, through the intermediary of the shaft 1.9, presses on the springs K and compresses them, while by turning around the shaft L. The broken shaft The descendant pulls on the chain Z which activates the lever X articulated around the axis X '. This axis is passed through the flanges V and V 'fixed to a rib of a spacer-slide C or C'. It is in these flanges that the Y-shaft also passes, which still passes through a rib of the spacer-slide.
This shaft Y carries at one end, the release fork Y 'and in its middle a spring Z' which rests on the flange V. When the spring Z 'is compressed that is to say when the release fork Y '
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
is located in front of the flywheel-pulley a notch made in the shaft Y is between the flanges V and V 'and it is in this notch that the end of the lever X is housed which thus maintains the spring Z 'compressed and the position of the belt on the flywheel-pulley T As soon as the chain Z actuated by the descent of the table J, as has been said above, pulls on the outer end of the lever X;
this rotates around the axis X 'and the end embedded in the Y-shaft comes out of the notch and gives freedom to the spring which, integral with the Y-shaft, relaxes and drives the latter until that the fork Y 'has pushed the drive belt on the idle pulley U, which causes the machine to stop and thus avoid any material accident.
The cutting according to a variable calibration is obtained by varying the distance from axis to axis of the finishing peaks G.
This machine can be built for all flow rates, without compromising its principle.
