Fi.l est une coupe verticale suivant la ligne 2-2 de la figure 2, les organes étant, disposés pour l'envoi du fluide dans le tuyau flexible;
Figs.2, 3, 4 sont des coupes respectives par 2-2, 3-3, 4-4 défigure 1 ;
Fig.5 est une coupe analogue à la figure 1, mais dans la- quelle l'obturateur est fermé par suite de l'enlèvement du flexible;
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Further training in devices used to seal pipes
Devices are already known which make it possible to actuate a pipe shutter via the flexible pipe of the device which operates under the pressure of the fluid. In these devices, the shutter is, for the opening of the pipe, pushed back. from its seat and it remains away from the latter throughout the sending of the fluid; it is understood that during this time, the seat and its shutter, which are no longer protected, receive on their surfaces dust or water coming from the condensation of the steam, which has the effect of deteriorating, in the long run, these surfaces, which however have every interest in remaining in good condition to ensure good sealing of the fluid.
The object of the present invention is to remedy this drawback by combining the actuation of the shutter by the flexible with a movable shutter, but remaining constantly in contact with its seat even during the distribution of the fluid; in this way the gasket surfaces will therefore be constantly protruding and will always remain in good condition

The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example of application, one embodiment of the invention.
Fi.l is a vertical section along the line 2-2 of Figure 2, the members being, arranged for sending the fluid into the flexible pipe;
Figs. 2, 3, 4 are respective cuts by 2-2, 3-3, 4-4 disfigures 1;
Fig.5 is a section similar to Figure 1, but in which the shutter is closed following removal of the hose;
Figs.6,7,8 are respective sections through 6-6, 7-7,8-8 of figure 5; is a plan showing the ribs of the body of the device.
A denotes an apparatus body, terminated by a cone B and within this apparatus.! is placed a conical shutter C having a guide shank D with a cross profile (Figure 4).
The shutter C is pierced with an oblique hole E which makes the chamber F communicate with the chamber 8 when it is oriented as in figure 1. A spring 3 working both in flexion and in torsion has for the effect of constantly pushing the shutter on its seat, at the same time as it radially supports this shutter by a stop I on the face J of a notch K made in the chamber F.
The shutter C is extended at the front by two parts L leaving between them a groove M; on the other hand, the cone N of the flexible 0 carries two tabs P which can engage in the groove M
The fixing nut P1 of the hose on the body A carries the. known manner two inclined planes Q which come to intrude behind two ribs R of the body A,
The operation of the device is therefore as follows:
The members of the apparatus being in the position shown in FIG. 5, it can be seen that, as a result of the position of the shutter
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
conical rator C, the inclined hole E, does not communicate the chamber F with the chamber G, this shutter being held in position by the tension of the spring H which always presses the stop I against the face J of the 'indentation K.
To open the apparatus, we introduce the cone N of the flexible 0, so that the two tongues P engage in the groove M, then we twist the nut, P1 so that the two inclined planes come to be placed. on the rib R; in this movement, the tabs have rotated, by the desired angle, the shutter C and consequently its hole E, which brings the latter as indicated on the. Figure 1, that is to say in a position such that the fluid from the chamber F can pass through the chamber G, and, from there, to the hose which is connected to the device to be actuated.
As indicated in the preamble, the fluid has therefore been sent without removing the shutter from its seat: to stop this sending, it suffices to unscrew the nut P1 and remove the cone of the hose from the apparatus, at this moment the obturator cone C under the action of its spring H, will resume its original position, in which there is no more possible communication between the chambers F and G.
The invention is of course not limited to the embodiment which has just been described with reference to the drawing, which is simply an embodiment considered to be preferable, however modifications of the details of the execution may be made. made without departing from the scope of the invention.
