Abstract

Element voor het samenpersen van gas, met een behuizing (2) waarin een eerste respectievelijk tweede rotor (3, 4) met respectievelijke rotatieassen zijn aangebracht, waarbij de behuizing (2) voorzien is van een axiale uitlaatopening (8) die gevormd is door onder andere: - een tongvormig uitsteeksel (14) tussen een eerste en tweede proximale rand (9b), waarbij een rand van het tongvormig uitsteeksel (14) gevormd wordt door minstens een eerste en tweede tongrand (13a, 13b), waarbij de eerste respectievelijk tweede tongrand (13a, 13b) zich verder van de rotatieas van de eerste respectievelijk tweede rotor (3, 4) bevindt dan de tweede respectievelijk eerste tongrand (13b, 13a); daardoor gekenmerkt dat een eerste tongrandstraal van de eerste tongrand (13a) ten opzichte van de eerste rotatieas kleiner is dan een evenwijdige straal van een eerste geometrisch pad ten opzichte van de eerste rotatieas, welk pad door een verst van de eerste rotatieas gelegen contactpunt tussen de eindoppervlakken van een eerste en tweede lob (5a, 5b) beschreven wordt.
