BeschrijvingDescription
In some aspects, the present invention is related to stabilized peracid solutions as well as to methods for making and using stabilized peracid solutions.
As stabilizers, sequestrants are often used that form a complex with the hard water tones, so that soluble complexes can be formed with sodium tripolyphosphate, EDTA, NTA, DTPA and citrates. Insoluble complexes are formed with sodium tripphosphate, zeolites, hydroxyethylidene diphosphonic acid, a pyridine dirivate such as picolinic acid, ethyl pyridine, conyrime and / or lutidine and / or their N-oxide. Other stabilizers that are used are stanates, magnesium salts and polyacrylic acids.
Secondary carboxylates useful in the present invention are carboxyl groups attached to the secondary carbon; This secondary carbon can be a ring structure such as, for example, p-p-benzyl-substituted-cyclic hexyl carboxylates. The secondary carboxylate surfactants typically do not contain an ether link, ester compounds and no nydrbxyi groups. Furthermore, they also do not have any nitrogen atoms in the main group. Furthermore, amphoteric surfactants can be added to the present invention. One first class contains acyl / diaikyl / ethylenediamine derivatives (such as, for example, 2-alkyl hydroxyethyl imidazbline derivative) and their salts. The second class contains N-alcylàmino acids and their salts. Examples of similar amphoters are alkylated imidazoline rings, examples of which are the zwitterion surfactants or betaines.

Example 1 - For all samples, the thermostability test is performed four or five times. Both before and after the thermostability test, concentrations of hydrogen peroxide, carboxylic acid and peracid are determined. The aim is to obtain a formulation in which as little oxygen as possible is released during the second quarter of the test. Or in other words a formulation where the thermostability is the best. This formulation is therefore directly eligible to be sent to TNO Netherlands (Applied Natural Science Research) to perform an SADT test. No "chemical pure" sulfuric acid or HEDP has been used to produce this peracid. Steel is obtained from a residual vessel of the produced batch, the production sequence proceeds fully conventionally starting with water, acetic acid. hydrogen peroxide. stabilizers.

Voor de contaminatie van de stalen wordt gebruik gemaakt van Mohr's zout (MM = 392,14 g/mol, 14,24% Fe), 74,25 g perazijnzuur+ 0,75 g Fe-oplossing van 10g/l.The destabilization of peracetic acid is influenced by the presence of any metal ions from the raw materials or possibly from the plant. To the effect of the. to check contaminations, different peracid samples are classified. The steel wbrdëfi all made in duplicate. When the samples are on balance; they are contaminated with 100 ppm Fe. After contamination, the samples are followed up for several months and regularly analyzed. For the contamination of the samples Mohr's salt is used (MM = 392.14 g / mol, 14.24% Fe), 74.25 g peracetic acid + 0.75 g Fe solution of 10 g / l.
In figuur 1 worden de resultaten weergegeven. The results are shown in Figure 1.
Zonder premix treedt er snel degradatie op.It can be clearly seen from Figure 1 that a premix of DPA and HEDP as stabilizers gives the best results. Degradation occurs quickly without a premix.
Figure 1 clearly shows that a mixture of DPA and HEDP as stabilizers for percarboxylic acid contaminated with 100 ppm Fe gives the best results. After 71 days this mixture still contains 13.70% peracetic acid. This while the concentration of peracetic acid in the steel without stabilizer on day 71 was almost 0%. If only HEDP is present as a stabilizer, 8.69% peracetic acid is still present after 71 days.
