Abstract

A composting silo with perforated walls, rotating and mounted on a mobile structure making it very easy to carry out storage, brewing, aeration, sieving and composting operations.

Système de compostage mobile à silo rotatif

Description

Figure 2 : Idem vu de face.

Rotary silo mobile composting system

Description

At present, environmental issues concern an increasingly wide audience.

Many people interested in reducing the volume of their waste are considering using the home composting method. However, many of them are discouraged by the tedious side of operations related to this task, such as aeration and regular mixing of stored materials, as well as sieving the compost obtained.

The invention proposed here is therefore intended to simplify all these operations. It consists of a silo with perforated walls, mounted on a mobile structure, allowing two different positions to be adopted.

The first: the silo rests directly on the ground so that the organisms present in the earth (insects, worms and other small molluscs ...) can migrate to the inside of the tank, through the mesh of the walls and realize their decomposition work.

The second: the silo placed on an axis, elevated above the ground, allows the user to rotate it using a crank or by any other means and in this way, simultaneously without effort, the operations of brewing, aeration, sieving and harvesting compost through the meshes of the walls of the silo.

Note: The attached illustrations are a block diagram showing only one embodiment of the invention.

Figure 1: The silo in position n [deg.] 1, is placed on the ground, the organisms can migrate from the soil towards the interior of the silo in order to perform their work of decomposition, a tarpaulin placed on the silo protects the mixture of sunstrips as well as severe weather.

Figure 2: Idem seen from the front.

Figure 3: Silo placed on the ground open lid, to store the materials to be decomposed. Figure 4: The silo is tilted to take position n [deg.] 2.

Figure 5: Thanks to its mobility, the system is moved on the tarpaulin placed on the ground.

Figure 6: The silo is in position n [deg.] 2. The rotation of the silo on its axis makes it possible, on the one hand, to aerate and brew the stored materials easily and on the other hand, to sift the mixture to harvest very easily, in the tarpaulin deployed on the ground, the matured compost .
