Abstract
Description
Description: Method for producing new types of carrier bags.
Carrying bags are part of our daily lives. We use them almost every day when shopping. We do not ask ourselves questions about their concept. Carrying bags are important and indispensable. They function well with their two handles. Sometimes we notice that a carry bag, when overweight, moves unbalanced, swings. We then see that the plastic becomes thinner at certain points and may crack. This is because the objects can give a point load on certain areas of the material. Is it possible to achieve a better weight distribution, or more stability?
Strangely enough, the concept of the carrier bag can be improved to realize this. We add two extra handles, and then, the intermediate zone of the carrier bag will now also absorb part of the weight.
With a normal carrying bag with two handles, the hand (20) becomes the central point, this is shown in figure 5 by the handles 11A and 11B. These come together in the hand. However, the weight distribution is concentrated in two zones (approximately 23 and 25). The dotted lines 22 and 24 show the actual distance from points A and B. In zone 21, the handles 11A and 11B come together.
The addition of two extra handles - which also help the sides of the carrier bag to improve the distribution of the contents - will be done optimally if the total load of the contents is handled evenly in the hand. Figure 3 shows that the two extra handles (30) must be shorter than the traditional handles in order to respect point 21. The top of these inner handles must therefore also be in zone 31, where the outer handles also come together.
As a result, a carrying bag is then obtained, the weight of the contents (50) of which (for example shop items) is distributed in the inside (60) at least over the four corresponding sides. Thus, only two zones were avoided for point load. Figure 6 shows the two options in top view.
This patent application relates to a method, production method and design of a carrier bag (42, 80) for transporting all kinds of objects (50) (e.g. objects, merchandise) wherein the carrier bag has at least three handles (Fig. 4). As a result, the weight of the objects is better distributed over the entire carrying surface of the aforementioned carrying bag, so that there is less chance of its surface tearing in the event of overweight, i.e.. that possible point load is avoided. This carrying bag is very desirable with four handles (11 A, 40A, 40B, 11B). A version with three handles is, for example, possible with paper cases with cord handles.
These 4-handle carrier bags will mainly be produced in mass production in a plastic, for example in a polymer, in polyethylene, in polypropylene, in polyolefin, in mixtures, etc. Via die-cutting (15 and 16, 32) (caps) from a flat laid - extruded - tube body (17), possibly folded (13) in at least one zone is then produced. Via the fusing (12) of the basic tube body (17) at a certain distance, the basic shape of the carrier bag is then made. 14A is the version where the cut shape is still in the bag shape. 14B shows the removed form.
These carrier bags can also be produced in natural materials, eg in paper, light cardboard, in cotton, in jute, etc.
The material consists of at least one layer, but also relates to a laminate. The lower part of the carrier bags, that is to say the part that carries the contents, can be made of either: a fabric, a knitwear, a film or foil, a laminate, a non-woven material, or from a mixture or combination of supernatants.
The handles of the carrier bag, so the part in which the handle (grips) is made of either: the same material as the part that carries the content, the same or different plastic or combination, a natural material, eg leather, rope, wood , etc., or a combination of the foregoing. These carrier bags can be printed (41) with a known technique, for example screen printing, quadri-printing, transfer, roto, flexo, etc., with for example: logos, text, photo and / or other images, etc.
The mass production takes place via a known plastic processing method, eg blow molding, blow extrusion, etc., but other possibilities are known ways such as sewing, textile processing, etc.
An important method that we claim is that for producing carrier bags with at least three handles - but very desirable four handles (Figs. 4 and 5) - that are produced via film extrusion of a plastic (e.g. LDPE, HDPE, LLDPE) wherein a continuous extruded tube (17) is converted into a flat double structure, whether or not pleated (13), continuous - possibly printed and / or adhered with stickers - and subsequently the double structure is applied to certain zones with melting agents fused (12) through one or more melting strips or melt lines, in order to convert the flat tube into separate parts (11) and wherein - after or simultaneously - the fused zones (12, 15, 16) and other relevant functional zones ( 32, 33) are partially or completely punched through (e.g. dotted line, small particles still connected), whereby a new type of bags is either individually or blockwise (e.g. with additional hanging holes as in department stores) used) or is available in rolls.
The distinction between the two types of handles on this carrier bag is that the two extreme handle shapes (11A and 11B) (e.g., loop type) are each formed by two fused parts (15) of the aforementioned tube (17), and the two inner handle bodies (40A and 40B) are extended from the surfaces (14A) that lie between the extreme handle shapes. The bag is suitable for use when removing this strip (eg 14B).
It is important that with the "grocery type bags" the two outer handle bodies (11A and 11B) are longer than the two inner handle bodies (40A and 40B), so that in the hand (20) the four handles on an equal keep a distance (see Fig. 5) and bring them together in a central zone (21, 31). The length of the handles can optionally be changed via extension means (eg sliding belt, touch fastener, etc.) for special versions.
The sides of the new carrier bag can have various regular and / or irregular shapes, for example in the contour of a product, logo and / or figure.
This carrying bag (40) as well as ordinary handbags (10, 70) can be provided with two push / fuse zones (71) with at least two closely spaced parallel (72) or non-parallel strips or other shapes (73), useful for disassembling the two surfaces of a carrier bag (e.g. GB carrier bags whose surfaces adhere to each other and are difficult to disassemble).
Claim 1 also contains the description of carrier bags (80) known in the industry as "handle bags". These consist of a plastic flattened tube (17) which is subsequently fused on at least one strip (12) in a known manner, whereby this fusion zone will form the bottom of the bag. With the traditional “handle bags”, an opening is stuck in the middle of the bag in one movement in the two layers of the bag, and thus two openings - handles - are made. In our new approach, instead of just two handles (81A and 81B), we punch two additional handles (82A and 82B) in the middle (83) on the outer sides of the bag. Because these are on a double side of the bag, we only have to punch one half of an opening per handle. When folding the bag open we get a full opening (handle) (82A and 82B) on each side. In these "handle bags", also as in the aforementioned carrier bags (with pleat layer 13) which in the industry are called "grocery bags", "T-shirt bags" or "shopping bags", a number of technical openings can of course also be provided. be provided for suspending from distribution means (e.g., a hole in the body that forms the handle into which a carrying rod may reach the cash register). This “handle” carrying case (80) can also be produced with only three handles, eg only one on the side (eg 82B). In addition to the better distribution of the weight over the surface of the bag, more handles give a better feeling in the hand or fingers. With only two handles, it is easier to have a sharp feeling on the finger insides and on the palm. This effect can also be improved with the handle bags by only partially cutting through the edges of the handles (81A, 81B, 82A and 82B). Then one has flaps which will reduce the cutting effect. Thus, handles can either not be completely punched out in shape (85), but the punched shape can be a flap (84), or can be completely punched out (forming effective openings), or some of the openings can be completely open, and another one number are handles with flaps.
In addition to carrier bags, the aforementioned method can also be used to make "shoulder bags". These do not currently exist. With 2-loop and / or 4-loop shoulder bags (see carrier bags with extended handles), the length of the shoulder loops will be at least double the length (18) of the handles of the aforementioned carrier bags, but desirably triple. With shoulder bags the weight is on the shoulders.
