<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Plastic manhole with accessories for rainwater tank I. State of the art The invention is situated in the domain of rainwater and septic tanks and more specifically with regard to a manhole which is placed on it. The problem is that when a rainwater pit is installed, a manhole is measured and this is a very labor-intensive job. The supply and the overflow of rainwater are provided in the manhole. The plumber must drill the suction pipe through the manhole and that is a critical place in terms of water tightness.
With the earthworker, the bricklayer and the plumber, three contractors come to look at the construction of the final manhole.
The state of the art already provides a solution to prevent these problems by using a prefabricated concrete manhole. This manhole has recesses for supply and discharge pipes. But here another problem arises. The recesses are never at the desired height and this again requires additional work to make the necessary adjustments.
If someone has to descend into the rainwater well, a conventional ladder is used. If this is placed at an angle of 75, there is not much left of the space inside (50x50 cm).
As a result, it is difficult for people to descend into the well, let alone take something with them.
After installation, practice shows that the rainwater well often remains open. This is a continuous danger for children but also for adults in a moment of inattention. Even after the rainwater well has been put into use, that danger always remains.

II. Description The purpose of this invention is to provide a solution to these problems. The manhole, according to the invention, preferably consists of plastic, provided with preformed notches, with the aim of adjusting the height.
The invention provides a possible embodiment, hand and / or foot supports, from now on called support elements, to descend and descend into the rainwater and / or the septic tank.
Another advantage of the invention is the provision of feed-through lines to which utility lines such as line to the rainwater pump, electrical cables, etc. can be connected.
A further advantage of the invention is that a rainwater filter can be built in in such a way that maintenance thereof is facilitated.
A final advantage is the provision of anchoring points at the bottom of the manhole to provide the manhole above the entrance after the rainwater pit has been placed.
A possible embodiment is now described in detail with the aid of the accompanying figures, but it is obvious to the person skilled in the art that the invention is not limited to this limitative description.
The invention provides a broader protection than this possible embodiment.
Figure 1: side view of the manhole Figure 2: and section of the manhole with filter and support elements Figure 3: manhole installed with rainwater well According to figure 1, the manhole consisting of plastic is provided with pre-formed notches (1) on the edge of the vertical surfaces. These notches can be provided both at the top and at the bottom of the edge and have the purpose of adjusting the height of the manhole.
These pre-cut notches allow the edge to be removed and the manhole to be adjusted to size. It is evident that the number of rows of notches is not limited as indicated on the drawing, but that the number of rows can be adjusted according to the need.
It is therefore possible to remove the edges both at the bottom and at the top. The manhole according to this figure is also provided with feed lines (2), (3) and (4). The diameter of these pipes can be adjusted depending on the application. The following applications are preferably provided: feed-through pipes (2) to which supply and discharge pipes can be connected, (3) feed-through openings for suction pipes of the rainwater pump and (4) feed-through openings for electrical cables. An example of the latter is the use of a float switch for switching from rainwater to mains water, where electrical cabling is required.
The previous list is not exhaustive and all kinds of utility lines are actually meant.
These provisions meet the watertight problem.
According to figure 1 and figure 3, another feature of the invention is the anchoring points (5), which ensure that the manhole can be placed above the entrance of the rainwater well.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The anchoring points are made in such a way that they can easily be fixed in the opening of the rainwater well. This offers the possibility to protect the rainwater well against possible accidents. So both a temporary and a permanent solution is offered here to guarantee safety. Preferably, 4 anchoring points are provided in the corners of the manhole. Figure 3 shows the placement of the rainwater well with the manhole on top, provided with anchoring points (5) in the opening of the well.
Figure 2 shows a top view of the manhole, in which a rainwater filter (6) is built in and support elements are provided in the corners. The filter must be inserted in such a way that it can be easily cleaned.
The use of hand and foot rests (7) must prevent the use of a conventional ladder.
The use of a ladder pole in a rainwater well is already known from the patent BE1013138.
Our goal here is now to provide support elements in the manhole. The elements (7) are preferably provided diagonally in the corners of the manhole. Depending on the shape of the manhole, the supports must be positioned in such a way that they form at least one vertical row. The mounting of the supports can be done according to existing methods or during the manufacturing process. The shape of the manhole is preferably provided with at least one angle in order to incorporate the support elements therein, as indicated in the figure.
