<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
Conformément à l'objectif susmentionné de la présente invention, ainsi qu'à d'autres, il est proposé un conteneur présentant des espaces de stockage séparés. Le conteneur comprend : un corps définissant un espace de stockage destiné à accueillir une première substance et pourvu d'une ouverture reliant l'espace de stockage ; un élément d'engagement extérieur apte à être couplé au corps par l'intermédiaire de l'ouverture et pourvu d'un trou traversant destiné à relier l'ouverture du corps ;
un élément d'engagement intérieur pouvant être engagé de façon axiale avec l'élément d'engagement extérieur, de manière à permettre à un emballage étanche contenant de façon hermétique une seconde substance d'être fermement intercalé entre l'élément d'engagement extérieur et l'élément d'engagement intérieur, d'une manière telle que l'espace de stockage du corps soit obturé de façon hermétique par l'emballage étanche, l'élément d'engagement intérieur étant pourvu d'un trou traversant de l'élément d'engagement extérieur ; d'un élément de coupage adapté de façon mobile avec l'élément d'engagement intérieur pour le coupage de l'emballage étanche intercalé entre les éléments d'engagement intérieur et extérieur, de manière à libérer la seconde substance de l'emballage étanche ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
DESCRIPTION DETAILLEE DES VARIANTES PREFEREES
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>
<Desc/Clms Page number 8>
<Desc/Clms Page number 9>

CONTAINERS WITH SEPARATE STORAGE SPACES
This invention relates to containers, and more particularly to a container capable of receiving different substances separately.
Conventionally, when a drink is drunk in which the formula and the liquid solution can only be mixed when the drink is ready to be consumed, a person must generally open the packages containing the formula separately and the liquid solution, and then add the formula to the liquid solution to make it ready to drink. This has the disadvantages of a laborious operation as well as overpackaging.
In addition, the formula is generally housed and contained in the storage space of the container without being prepackaged, therefore the formula tends to be contaminated if the storage space intended to accommodate the formula is not in sufficient condition to allow it to protect the formula from contamination. Therefore, extra effort is required to clean the container to a certain degree, thereby causing an increase in the cost of manufacturing the container.
The main objective of the present invention is to provide a container having separate storage spaces intended to receive a first substance and a second substance which must be mixed with the first substance, simply requiring operations of "pushing down" and "pull up" for mixing the first substance with the second substance in order to make the mixture ready for consumption, and which allows the separation of the first substance from the second substance in a practical manner without having use of a conventional insulation element. The container of this invention can also effectively prevent contamination of the first or second substance, when housed in the container.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
In accordance with the aforementioned object of the present invention, as well as others, there is provided a container having separate storage spaces. The container comprises: a body defining a storage space intended to receive a first substance and provided with an opening connecting the storage space; an external engagement element adapted to be coupled to the body via the opening and provided with a through hole intended to connect the opening to the body;
an inner engagement member capable of being axially engaged with the outer engagement member, so as to allow a sealed package hermetically containing a second substance to be firmly interposed between the outer engagement member and the internal engagement element, in such a way that the body storage space is hermetically sealed by the sealed package, the interior engagement element being provided with a through hole in the element external engagement; a cutting element movably adapted with the internal engagement element for cutting the sealed packaging interposed between the interior and exterior engagement elements, so as to release the second substance from the sealed packaging;
and a cover member attached to the body for covering the cutting member, the inner engagement member and the outer engagement member therein, the cover member being provided with a retaining hole for slidingly retaining a control element capable of being coupled to the cutting element, the control element being able to push with the help of an external force exerted on it the cutting element in the direction of the sealed package from a first position to a second position in which the sealed package is cut and opened by the cutting element which allows the second substance to be released to be mixed with the first substance via the opening of the body.
Besides that, the first substance in the body and the second substance in the sealed package are not necessarily limited to the solid, liquid or gaseous states. In other words, they can for example be a combination
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
of a liquid solution and a formula, two gases which must be mixed and reacted, or two liquids which can be mixed and reacted.
The features and functions of the present invention will be explained below in more detail using the preferred variants and the accompanying Figures. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED VARIANTS
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the container having separate storage spaces of the present invention consists of a body 1, an external engagement element 2 intended to be mounted in the body 1, an internal engagement element 4 firmly engaged with the external engagement element 2 so as to allow a sealed package 3 hermetically containing a second substance 3 to be firmly interposed between the engagement element
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
outer 2 and the inner engaging element 4, a cutting element 5 slidably adapted in the inner engaging element 4, a cover 6 attached to the body 1 serving to cover the outer engaging element 2,
the internal engagement element 4 and the cutting element 5, and a control element 7 slidably retained on the cover 6.
The body 1 comprises a storage space 10 defined by a body wall 11 of the body 1 intended to receive a liquid solution L. An opening 12 is formed in the body 1 to connect the storage space 10. The body 1 is in further provided with a flange 110 at the top of the body wall 11 and a flange 120 surrounding the
EMI4.1
outer surface of the body wall 11. An annular projection 13 further advances from the outer surface of the body wall 11 above the flange 120.
The external engagement element 2 consists of an external annular body 20 and an internal annular body 21, the lower ends of which are connected to each other and the internal surface of which is of octagonal configuration. The height of the interior annular body 21 is smaller than that of the exterior annular body 20. An engagement passage 22 is provided between the bottom of the exterior annular body 20 and the interior annular body 21. It is provided at the upper part of the body. outer annular 20 a plurality of coupling projections 201 which project upwards. And a shoulder 200 projects outwards for engagement with the rim 110 of the body 1.
A holding portion 210 defining a through hole 211 serving to connect the opening 12 of the body 1 is formed integrally on and extends inwards from the top of the inner annular body 201.
The inner engagement element 4 has an octagonal outer annular body 40 and a circular inner annular body 41 which are arranged coaxially and integral with each other. A lower plurality of extension portions 400 are provided at the lower part of the external annular body 40 which can engage smoothly with the engagement passage 22 of the exterior engagement element 2.
There is provided at the upper part of the inner engagement element 4 a plurality of coupling flanges which project outward 401 and which are each capable of smooth engagement in a corresponding space of a plurality of '' spaces 202 formed each time between two coupling projections 201 on the element
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
of external engagement. Therefore, with this arrangement, the inner engagement element 4 can be firmly engaged with the outer engagement element 2. At the upper part and the lower part of the inner surface of the inner annular body 41, a first groove positioning annular 410 and a second annular positioning groove 411 are respectively formed.
At the same time, when the inner engagement member 4 is engaged with the outer engagement member 2, the lower portion (not shown) of the inner annular body 41 of the inner engagement member 4 abuts against the holding portion 210 of the external engagement element 2. In addition, a through hole 42 is formed in the interior engagement element 4.
The sealed package 3 has an upper sheet and a lower sheet circumferentially sealed to the upper sheet in order to seal a formula 31 therein. The upper and lower sheets are preferably made of aluminum sheets. The sealed package 3 is first placed on the holding portion 210. When the inner engagement member 4 is engaged in position with the outer engagement member 2, the peripheral edges of the sealed package 3 are firmly interposed between the inner engagement member 4 and the outer engagement member 2, allowing the through holes 42, 211 of the inner engagement member 4 and the outer engagement member 2 to be isolated.
Therefore, the internal engagement element 4 and the external engagement element 2, together with the sealed package 3, are arranged in a structure capable of sealingly closing the opening 12 of the body 1, preventing therefore the liquid solution L to escape from the storage space 10 via the opening 12 of the body 1.
The cutting element 5 has an annular body 50 and a neck 51 formed integrally above the annular body 50, with the outside diameter of the annular body 50 smaller than the inside diameter of the inside annular body 41 of the element internal engagement 4. There is provided at the lower part of the cutting element 5 a cutting end having an active portion 501 and an inactive portion 500. The active portion 501 is provided with a plurality of cutting edges continuously formed saw for cutting and opening packaging
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
sealed 3, and the inactive portion 500 has a flat surface in order to prevent the sealed package 3 from being completely cut by the active portion 501.
In addition, an annular projection 502 projects from the outer surface of the annular body 50 to be engaged with the first annular positioning groove 410 or the second annular positioning groove 411 of the inner annular body 41. It is provided on the outer surface of the neck 51 an annular groove 510, and there is provided integrally on the upper part of the neck 51 a round projection 511 as well as at least one outlet orifice 512 surrounding the round projection 511.
The cover 6 consists of an approximately hemispherical body which is attached to the body 1, so as to cover the external engagement element 2, the sealed packaging 3, the interior engagement element 4 and the cutting 5. There is provided at the upper part of the cover 6 a retaining hole 61 for the neck 51 of the cutting element 5 which projects and passes through it. An annular groove 62 is provided on the inner surface of the lower part of the cover 6 which can engage with the annular projection 13 on the body wall 11 of the body 1.
There is provided approximately in the central portion of the cover 6 a stop portion 63 abutting against the coupling projections 201 of the external engagement element 2 and against the peripheral edges of the coupling flanges 401 of the element internal engagement 4. Therefore, when the cover 6 is attached to the body 1, the cover 6 can be firmly held in place on the body 1.
The control element 7 is hat-shaped to be slidably retained in the retaining hole 61 of the cover 6 in such a way that the control element 7 is capable of being detachably coupled to the cutting element 5. The control element 7 consists of an annular body 70 and an integrally formed covering portion 71 which has a passage 710 in its center in which the round projection 511 at the top of the cutting element 5 can be engaged in an airtight manner. The covering portion 71 is able to cover the retaining hole 61 of the cover 6 in an airtight manner when the round projection 511 is engaged in the passage 710.
There is provided on the inner wall of the annular body 70 an annular projection 700 which

can engage with the annular groove 510 on the neck 51 of the cutting element 5.
As shown in FIG. 3, the storage space 10 of the body 1 retains a liquid solution L. During assembly, the external engagement element 2 is firstly coupled to the body 1 with its shoulder 200 engaged with the flange 13. Then , the sealed package 3 is placed on the holding portion 210 of the external engagement element 2, followed by the engagement of the interior engagement element 4 with the exterior engagement element 2. At this stage, the extension portions 400 are inserted in concert with the peripheral edges of the sealed package 3 in the corresponding engagement passage 22.
At the same time, the lower part of the inner annular body 41 of the inner engagement element 4 keeps the peripheral portion 30 of the sealed package 3 in position on the holding portion 210, which allows the element to external engagement 2 and with the internal engagement element 4 firmly engaged with the external engagement element 2, to form, together with the sealed package 3, a sealed structure capable of hermetically sealing the opening 12 body 1.
The annular body 50 of the cutting element 5 is slidably arranged in the interior annular body 41 of the interior engagement element 4, with the annular projection 502 on the cutting element 5 which cooperates with the first groove positioning annular 410 on the inner wall of the inner annular body 41 of the inner engagement element 4, so that the cutting element 5 is held in position. Then, the cover 6 mounted with the control element 7 is attached to the body 1 and the neck 51 of the cutting element 5 is therefore projected out of the retaining hole 61 of the cover 6 to be received inside the control element 7 slidably retained in the retaining hole 61.
At the same time, the annular groove 62 on the inner wall of the cover 6 is engaged with the annular projection 13 of the body 1, while the stop portion 63 of the cover 6 holds the external engagement element 2 and the internal engagement element 4 in place on the rim 110 of the body 1. When the neck 51 of the cutting element 5 is adapted with the control element 7, the passage 710 of the control element 7 is engaged airtight with the protrusion

round 511 of the neck 51, which allows the outlet orifices 512 of the neck 51 to be hermetically sealed with air by the covering portion 71 of the control element 7.
At the same time, the annular projection 700 on the inner wall of the annular body 70 of the control element 7 abuts against the bottom of the annular groove 510 of the neck 51.
To mix formula 31 with liquid solution L, as shown in FIG. 4, a user simply has to push the control element 7 towards the sealed package 3, which allows the cutting element 5 to move downwards from a first position in which the element cutting 5 is not in contact with the sealed package 3 to a second position in which the sealed package 3 is cut and opened by the cutting element 5.
When the cutting element 5 together with the control element 7 reaches the second position, the annular projection 502 on the annular body 50 of the cutting element 5 is moved so as to be disengaged from the first annular groove of positioning 410 and then to be engaged with the second annular positioning groove 411 of the internal engagement element 4. At the same time, the active portion 501 and the inactive portion 500 of the cutting element 5 will push first on the peripheral portion 30 of the sealed package 3, and will then cut and open the sealed package 3 through the active portion 501, which allows the formula 31 to immerse through the opening 12 in the solution liquid L out of the waterproof packaging 3.
During this operation, since part of the peripheral portion is prevented by the inactive portion 500 of the cutting element 5 from being cut by the active portion 501, the portion of the peripheral portion 30 corresponding to the portion inactive 500 is always attached to the other part of the sealed package 3, thereby allowing the cut and open portion of the sealed package 3 to be prevented from falling into the liquid solution L.
As shown in Figure 5, after the formula 31 has fallen into the liquid solution L, the upward pull of the control element 7 will also move the cutting element 5 upward while the annular projection 700 is engaged with the annular groove 510 in the neck 51 of the cutting element 5. The upward lifting of the cutting element 5 stops when

its shoulder 503 abuts against the top 64 of the cover 6. At this stage, by continuing to pull the control element 7, the round projection 511 of the neck 51 will be disengaged from the passage 710 of the control element 7.
The upward pull of the control element 7 will not stop before the annular projection 700 on the annular body 70 of the control element 7 is blocked by the top of the annular groove 510 of the neck 51 of the cutting element 5. As a result, the opening 12 of the body 1, the through hole 211 of the external engagement element 2, the through hole 42 of the interior engagement element 4, the outlet orifices 512 of the cutting element 5 and the passage 710 of the control element 7 are all interconnected, which allows the liquid solution L mixed with the formula 31 to flow from the opening 12 of the body 1 until the passage 710 of the control element 7, to be consumed by the user.
