Abstract
A transparent receptacle (A) contains a proportion of a non flammable fuel (E) with a decorative solid (F) which may or may not float. A flammable lower density fuel (B) such as a hydrophobic elastomer is introduced above the non flammable fuel with a wick (C,D). When the flame is extinguished the flammable fuel solidifies to seal in the non flammable fuel
Description
Dispositif déclairage à combustion
Description
<EMI ID=1.1>
<EMI ID=2.1>
<EMI ID=3.1>
Revendications
<EMI ID=4.1>
Combustion lighting device
Description
1. The present invention relates generally to lighting devices:
2. It relates more particularly to a lighting device of the type consisting of a container with walls
<EMI ID = 1.1>
3. This type of lighting device has unlike so-called conventional candles, it does not flow from the fact that 'its container withstands high temperatures and the solid-fuel gel-reformed as soon as the flame extinguished.
However, this kind of lighting device uses a large amount of fuel.
4. The object of this invention is to provide a lighting device which makes it possible to greatly reduce the quantity of clean hot-melt fuel that operates.
5. As shown in the single figure, the lighting device which is the subject of the invention consists of a container (A) which is more or less transparent or totally translucent in order to allow the contents of the container to be viewed there.
In the example of the single figure, the container is a glass vase but could also be plastic or other translucent material capable of withstanding a high temperature.
This container (A) which can also have various shapes is partially filled with a simple fuel (E) such as oil, but another fuel could be used if it is partially translusent or even slightly colored.
This fuel (E) which is non-flammable in its used state is enclosed in the bottom of the container by a gel or solid fuel (B) generally hydrophobic elastomer based at least on hydrogenated paraffin oil and copolymer products.
This type of gel is well known and is marketed under the name CANDEL'GEL by the company CANDELIS SARL.
<EMI ID = 2.1>
in order to give off a natural odor during combustion.
The container (A) can contain one or more solids (F) in order to decrease the quantity of non-flammable fuel (E) and also accentuate the decorative effect
This or these solids are generally placed at the bottom of the container (A) but can also float in the fuel (E).
Obviously the density of the fuel (B) is lower than the density of the liquid (E).
6. Manufacturing of the process.
By step, here is the procedure to follow in order to create this product.
<EMI ID = 3.1>
6.2. Introduce the solid (s) (F) and glue them with a metal type glue -
6.3. Add the fuel (E) to a decided quantity.
6.4. Then pour it in several phases to avoid bubbling, the hot fuel (B).
6.5. After cooling the fuel (B) introduce one or more wicks into its center or elsewhere.
6.6. The wick thus entered into the fuel (B) is introduced so as never to descend to the fuel (E).
6.7. As the wick (C) comes out of the cap formed by the fuel (B), it is likely to be ignited in order to light up and by transparency, light up the solid (F) included in the fuel (E).
claims
<EMI ID = 4.1>
This container (A) containing a fuel (B) integrating at least one wick (C) with a free end
(D) being capable of being ignited to light up.
Characterized in that the container (A) is partially filled with a light combustible liquid (E) enclosed in the receptacle (A) by the hot-melt fuel (B) forming a plug.
