Description

   Coussin.

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

   Cushion.

   The present invention relates to a cushion that can in particular be used to rest the head during trips by car or other means of transport.

   According to the invention, the cushion which is preferably inflatable is provided with fixing means preferably formed by at least one suction cup allowing the cushion to be fixed on a side window, for example of a car.

   The cushion, thanks to the fixing, can be placed at a variable height adapting to each. Its shape provides pleasant support when the head is supported.

   The material used is provided in rubberized or plastic or PVC material, normal or reinforced (cast on a fabric weft), or any other material that can be used to make an inflatable structure. The external covering can be of raw finish or covered with a layer of fabric which can be of various nature (velvet, chamois, faux suede, etc ...).

   The cushion is described below in more detail with the aid of drawings representing only one particular example of embodiment of the cushion according to the invention.

   Figure 1 is a perspective view showing an example of use of the cushion according to the invention.

   Figure 2 is a front view of this cushion.

   Figure 3 is a view along line IIIIII of Figure 1.

   In the different figures, the same reference numbers relate to the same elements.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   The external dimensions of the airbag are preferably 20 to 40 cm for the length and 15 to 35 cm for the width.

   The cushion is composed, for its construction of two sheets of materials 1 and 2, superimposed welded together, on the one hand, at their periphery 3, and, on the other hand, at the level of an internal part 4 on a surface 0.1 to 5 cm high by 12 to 35 cm long in continuous or discontinuous welding. This welded surface 4 partially or completely partitions the cushion into two parts, which causes during inflation a distribution into two beads 5a and 5b delimiting a hollow 9 and 10 in each of the faces of the cushion formed by the sheets 1 respectively 2. The suction cups 6 are housed in the hollow 10, so that when the suction cups 6 are fixed on a smooth surface 7 the cushion can also be applied against this surface.

   One or more conventional or special inflation valves 11 are fixed by gluing, welding or any other technique, at the level of the external part of the welding of the posterior sheet.

   The material used is provided in rubberized or plastic or PVC material, normal or reinforced (cast on a fabric weft) or any other material allowing an inflatable structure to be produced. The cushion is designed so as to be inflated, but it can be made of any other material, such as for example solid material, in the form of foam or the like. The external covering can be of raw finish or covered with a layer of fabric which can be of various nature (velvet, chamoix, faux suede, etc ...).

   It should be understood that the invention is not limited to the embodiment described above or shown in the accompanying drawings, but that other variants can be envisaged without departing from the scope of the invention.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

   Thus, despite the fact that a pronounced preference is given to suction cups, the use of other removable fixing means could be envisaged.
