<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

Structure of convective heating convector.
The present application relates to a convective heating thermo-convector structure.
Convection heating thermoconvectors, of known type, today consist of a panel box which contains one or more auxiliary motors intended to actuate at least one fan used to obtain an air flow which is successively sent to a resistor electric, then released into the atmosphere through grids provided for this purpose.
One of the problems which commonly arise in convection heating thermo convectors of known type lies in the fact that they risk causing fires due to a possible overturning.
This can for example be due to accidental causes such as a shock caused by a domestic animal or the formation of an air current which arrives on the thermo-convector.
Contact with a curtain moved by the wind can also cause the thermo-convector to present an insufficient evacuation for the air-heated or an insufficient air intake.
These faults lead to a significant overheating of the internal resistance and therefore possible ignition of carpets or other flammable material supported on the outlet grille of the hot air flow.
A partial solution has been known to these drawbacks which is used in convection heating thermo-convectors which provide a thermal switch with automatic reset which operates when the temperature reaches very higher values.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
res to those of operation.
The use of such a thermal switch does not however completely solve the problem insofar as it is not said that in the meantime, or also following the deactivation of the electrical resistance, the material at contact of the thermo-convector has not already reached temperatures which can cause auto-combustion, for example of the carpet or the carpet.
This is why the present invention aims to eliminate the drawbacks mentioned above for the known types, by providing a thermoconvector which offers an operation, understood as being a heating of the ambient medium, which is optimal, and which adds thereto. also optimum safety during use.
For the same purpose indicated above, the invention also aims, in an important way, to provide a heat convector in which it is possible to eliminate the risk of fire due to its accidental overturning.
Another important object of the invention is to provide a heat convector which allows prompt intervention on the part of the user, as quickly as possible following, for example, overturning.
Yet another object of the invention, which is not the least, is to make it possible to add to all the preceding characteristics that of obtaining a simple structure, a reduced cost price, a reliable and safe use and easy industrial implementation.
To this end, the subject of the invention is a structure of convection heating thermo-convector, of the type
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
comprising a box serving to contain at least one auxiliary motor which allows the emission, through a grid, of air flows which have been heated by means of a resistance, characterized in that it comprises at least one acoustic and / or luminous warning device which is connected to a detector which deactivates the resistance when it is found that this thermoconvector is not working properly.
Other objects, features and advantages of the invention will emerge from the description which follows, by way of nonlimiting example and with reference to the appended drawings in which the single figure, or FIG. 1, represents, in exploded view, the constituent elements of a thermoconvector according to the invention, including the acoustic and / or luminous horn and the detector of deactivation of the resistance.
If we refer to this figure, reference 1 designates a convective heating thermo-convector structure, the latter comprising a box consisting of a first shell, or front shell, 2 and of a second shell, or rear shell, 3 can be assembled together.
A first ventilation grid 4 is mounted on the first shell 2, while the second shell, or rear shell, has at its lower part a flange 5 on which are mounted a first support 6 and a second support 7 intended for electrical resistance. 8.
On the top of the two shells, there is further arranged a second grid 9 and a shelf 10 provided
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
for controls 11 such as a thermostat button, a double light switch used for power selection and a ventilation switch.
Internally to the two shells, there is also arranged an auxiliary motor 12 used to drive a fan 13, this motor being mounted on a third support 14 provided for this purpose.
The convective heating thermo-convector structure is further completed by at least one acoustic and / or light alarm, designated by reference 15, and a detector, designated by reference 16, which serves to deactivate the resistor 8 when the thermal convector does not maintain the correct operating position.
This detector can be of the type comprising a switch 17 controlled by a pendulum element 18 which is actuated when the heat convector is not placed in its state of perpendicularity with respect to the ground on which it rests.
The alarm 15 enters into uninterrupted service when it receives a signal from the detector 16 which at the same time puts the resistor 8 out of service by cutting off its power supply.
This allows the user to immediately see a non-optimal state of operation of the heat convector and therefore to provide as quickly as possible for its correct replacement.
It can thus be seen that the invention makes it possible to achieve the initially set goals, by obtaining a convective heating thermo-convector structure.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
which has an optimal functioning to which is also added an optimal safety of use, since in the presence of possible operating faults due to an incorrect positioning of the thermo-convector relative to the support plane, the electric resistance is put out of service and the user is warned of the abnormal state of the heat convector.
Any accidental spillage is therefore immediately signaled, as could the presence of objects located near the air intake of the heat convector, such as for example a curtain, a cloth or another object, this indication only to be associated with a different arrangement of the detector 16.
Indeed, in such a hypothesis, there could also be a dangerous overheating of the resistor 8.
The structure is finally found to be very simple, easy to manufacture industrially and inexpensive.
Of course, the materials of the various constituent elements of the structure, as well as their dimensions, could be the most advantageous depending on the specific conditions required and the same could be true of the arrangement of the horn and the detector.
