pour le déplacement d'une personne
Pour se déplacer, certaines personnes utilisent un appareil de soutien tel qu'une béquille, une canne ou autres, qui comporte au moins une poignée ou autre moyen d'appui sur lequel elles appuient la ou les mains. Ces moyens d'appui sont réalisés généralement sous la forme d'un organe tubulaire et il est connu que l'utilisation d'un tel appareil de soutien cause dans bien des cas des lésions plus ou moins importantes à la main, en particulier des lésions au nerf médian,de la main, par appui prolongé de ce nerf sur la poignée de l'appareil.
La présente invention a pour objet un appareil de soutien perfectionné permettant d'éviter l'apparition de telles lésions ou d'empêcher leur aggravation.
Suivant l'invention, un appareil de soutien pour le déplacement d'une personne comprend un moyen d'appui réalisé avec une surface profilée de manière à présenter au moins une éminence propre à servir d'appui à une zone particulière de la paume de la main (par exemple l'éminence thénar) et de manière à dégager au moins une partie de la main à protéger (par exemple le creux de la paume de la main).
Grâce à l'invention, une partie de la main qui doit être protégée ou que l'on veut protéger peut être dégagée pendant la prise d'appui par la main, ce qui permet à l'utilisateur de se déplacer sans avoir la sensation de douleur et sans risque de créer ou d'aggraver une lésion.
D'autres particularités de l'invention sont définies dans les revendications ci-annexées.
Deux modes d'exécution exemplaires d'une béquille réalisée conformément à l'invention sont décrits dans ce qui suit à l'aide des dessins ci-annexés.
La figure 1 montre la partie supérieure d'une béquille. On y distingue la jambe 1 de la béquille sur laquelle est fixée une poignée 2 et une traverse 3 servant au soutien de l'avant-bras. Habituellement et comme montré dans le dessin, la poignée 2 est un organe tubulaire sur lequel l'utilisateur appuie le creux de la main.
Le perfectionnement selon l'invention consiste à réaliser la poignée avec un moyen d'appui 4 dont la surface supérieure est profilée de manière à présenter au moins une éminence propre à servir d'appui à une zone particulière de la paume et de manière à dégager le creux de la paume ou toute autre partie de la main à protéger. Dans l'exemple de la figure 1, l'éminence 5 est conçue pour servir d'appui à l'éminence thénar
(c'est-à-dire la saillie en regard du premier métacarpien) de la paume de la main gauche d'une personne, le creux 6 de la surface dégageant le creux de la paume tandis que la zone 7 permet la pose des phalanges et la préhension.
Ainsi, la main n'appuie plus par le creux de la paume et les nerfs de la main tels que le nerf médian se trouvent soulagés, ce qui permet à l'utilisateur de se déplacer sans avoir la sensation de douleur et sans risque d'endommager le nerf médian ou d'aggraver la lésion de celui-ci. Toute autre partie de la main peut être protégée d'une manière semblable par un profilage approprié de la surface d'appui.
Le moyen d'appui 4 peut être confectionné ou moulé en divers matériaux et dans des exécutions diverses. Il est constitué par exemple d'une garniture en matériau synthétique adaptée sur une coquille de support 9 fixée à la jambe de la béquille ou, d'une façon plus générale, à la structure de l'appareil. Un moyen de réglage peut être prévu pour l'ajustement aux membres de l'utilisateur. Des trous d'aération peuvent avantageusement être prévus dans la garniture pour éviter la condensation de transpiration.
Dans le mode d'exécution de la figure 1, le moyen d'appui 4 est adapté sur et supporté par une poignée 2 classique d'une béquille classique. Suivant l'invention, la poignée peut évidemment être réalisée directement sous la forme d'un moyen d'appui profilé pour l'appui d'une zone particulière de la paume de la main. La figure 2 illustre un mode d'exécution exemplaire dans lequel le moyen d'appui 4 est constitué d'une garniture 8 adaptée sur une coquille 9 fixée par un moyen de support quelconque sur la jambe 1 de la béquille.
Une attache peut avantageusement compléter le moyen d'appui selon l'invention. Dans le dessin ci-annexé, cette attache est par exemple une bande souple (par exemple une bande type Velcro) avec fermeture 10. L'attache pourrait être réalisée sous la forme d'un gant ou d'une moufle (avec ou sans rembourrage en fonction de l'état pathologique de la main de l'utili-
-sateur), ce qui procurerait de surcroît une protection contre les intempéries.
La face d'appui du moyen d'appui peut comprendre au moins un logement pour un pansement dermatologiquement et/ou médicalement utile, de manière à ajouter un effet curatif à l'effet de soulagement produit par l'utilisation de l'appareil selon l'invention.
Les modes de réalisation de l'invention décrits dans ce qui précède sont des exemples donnés à titre illustratif et l'invention n'est nullement limitée à ces exemples. Toute modif ication, variante ou tout agencement équivalent doit être considéré comme compris dans le cadre de l'invention.

(par exemple 5) propre à servir d'appui à au moins une zone particulière de la paume de la main et de manière à dégager (par exemple 6) au moins une partie de la main à protéger.

To move around, some people use a support device such as a crutch, a cane or the like, which includes at least one handle or other support means on which they support the hand or hands. These support means are generally made in the form of a tubular member and it is known that the use of such a support device causes in many cases more or less significant injuries to the hand, in particular injuries to the median nerve, by hand, by prolonged support of this nerve on the handle of the device.
The present invention relates to an improved support device making it possible to avoid the appearance of such lesions or to prevent their aggravation.
According to the invention, a support device for the movement of a person comprises a support means produced with a profiled surface so as to have at least one eminence capable of serving to support a particular area of the palm of the hand (for example the thenar eminence) and so as to free at least part of the hand to be protected (for example the palm of the hand).
Thanks to the invention, a part of the hand which must be protected or which one wants to protect can be released during the support taking by the hand, which allows the user to move without having the feeling of pain and without the risk of creating or worsening a lesion.
Other features of the invention are defined in the appended claims.
Two exemplary embodiments of a crutch produced in accordance with the invention are described in the following with the aid of the attached drawings.
Figure 1 shows the top of a stand. We can see the leg 1 of the stand on which is fixed a handle 2 and a cross member 3 used to support the forearm. Usually and as shown in the drawing, the handle 2 is a tubular member on which the user presses the palm of the hand.
The improvement according to the invention consists in making the handle with a support means 4, the upper surface of which is profiled so as to have at least one eminence suitable for serving as support for a particular area of the palm and so as to release the palm or any other part of the hand to be protected. In the example of Figure 1, the eminence 5 is designed to serve as support for the thenar eminence
(i.e. the projection opposite the first metacarpal) of the palm of a person's left hand, the hollow 6 of the surface releasing the hollow of the palm while zone 7 allows the phalanxes to be applied and gripping.
Thus, the hand no longer supports the palm of the palm and the nerves of the hand such as the median nerve are relieved, which allows the user to move without having the sensation of pain and without risk of damage or worsen the median nerve. Any other part of the hand can be similarly protected by suitable profiling of the support surface.
The support means 4 can be made or molded from various materials and in various executions. It consists for example of a lining of synthetic material adapted to a support shell 9 fixed to the leg of the stand or, more generally, to the structure of the device. Adjustment means may be provided for adjustment to the members of the user. Ventilation holes can advantageously be provided in the lining to avoid condensation of perspiration.
In the embodiment of Figure 1, the support means 4 is adapted on and supported by a conventional handle 2 of a conventional stand. According to the invention, the handle can obviously be produced directly in the form of a profiled support means for supporting a particular area of the palm of the hand. FIG. 2 illustrates an exemplary embodiment in which the support means 4 consists of a lining 8 fitted on a shell 9 fixed by any support means on the leg 1 of the crutch.
A fastener can advantageously complete the support means according to the invention. In the attached drawing, this fastener is for example a flexible strip (for example a Velcro type strip) with closure 10. The fastener could be made in the form of a glove or a mitt (with or without padding depending on the pathological condition of the user's hand
-sateur), which would also provide protection against the weather.
The bearing face of the bearing means may comprise at least one housing for a dermatologically and / or medically useful dressing, so as to add a curative effect to the relieving effect produced by the use of the device according to the invention. 'invention.
The embodiments of the invention described in the foregoing are examples given by way of illustration and the invention is in no way limited to these examples. Any modification, variant or equivalent arrangement must be considered to be within the scope of the invention.
CLAIMS
1. Support device for the movement of a person comprising a support means for the hand, this support means (4) being produced with a profiled surface so as to have at least a prominence
(for example 5) suitable for serving as support for at least one particular zone of the palm of the hand and so as to release (for example 6) at least a part of the hand to be protected.
