Abstract

The holster comprises a sleeve (3,3') e.g. of leather which has an inner flexible reinforcing element shaped to leave an open slot (4) at the front of the holster. The weapon can be quickly removed through this slot. The holster is fitted onto a backing-piece (5) with slots (6) in it for a belt (7), and it can be attached by a single central rivet to allow pivoting. A longer holster, especially for a gun, can have a safety strap across the front which must be undone before the gun is ready for immediate use.

    Game pour matraque   La présente invention est relative à une gaine pour matraque et a pour but de   realiser une gaine   hors de   laquelle la   matraque peut etre enlevée par son porteur, le representant de L'ordre, d'une manière aisee et rapide. 



  Une gaine pour matraque consiste habitueLLement en un simple manchon, dans lequel est glissée et est maintenue La matraque. Pour être   utiLisee   la matraque doit etre glissée hors de la gaine en forme de manchon, ce qui constitue un handicap en cas d'urgence. 



  Pour obvier à ces inconvénient il a paru avantageux de réaliser suivant L'invention une gaine pour matraque caractérisée en ce qu'eLLe est constituee par un man-   chon   presentant une solution de continuité ou fente. 



  Suivant L'invention le manchon est cousu sur une armature flexible destinée à pincer et maintenir La matraque. 



    Egalement   suivant L'invention Le manchon fendu presente une section sensibLement circulaire, les bords de la fente s'etendant Legerement vers l'extérieur en se

   Encore suivant l'invention Le manchon est fixe de manière ä pouvoir pivoter sur une patte pourvue de coulisses pour Le montage sur un ceinturon. 



   Pour mieux faire comprendre L'invention ceLLe-ci est décrite maintenant avec plus de détails sur La base du dessin annexé,   Åa   titre d'exemple, uniquement, mon- trant   en :

  Une gaine pour matraque suivant L'invention en cuir ou analogue consiste en un manchon 1 constitua par une   pLaque 2 surmontee d'une piece   en forme 3 presentant une soLution de continuite ou fente 4. Cette piece 3 est cousue sur une armature   fLexible 3',   destinee à pincer La matraque (non representee) et ä La maintenir. 



  Le manchon 1 (2, 3) est porte par une patte 5 pourvue de coulisses 6. pour Le montage sur un ceinturon 7. 



  La fixation du manchon 1 sur La patte 5 est avantageusement   realisee   ä L'aide d'un pivot central   8,   de maniere   Åa   pouvoir presenter la position de la figure 4 avec la matraque Åa peu pres horizontale pour un dépla-

  Cependant, pour que Le manchon 1 se maintienne en place avec La matraque verticale, La plaque 2 est pourvue à une extrémité   d'éléments   de boutons-pression 9 destinds   Åa   venir en prise avec des   éléments   correspondants prévus sur La patte 5. 



  La pièce en forme 3 ou manchon proprement dit presente une section sensiblement circulaire pour s'adapter   Åa   la matraque mais les bords de la fente 4 s'etendent un peu vers l'extérieur en se rapprochant. Les extremites de cette fente peuvent avantageusement etre munies en 10 d'un bouton-pression (non représenté). 



  La matraque etant   glissee   dans la manchon 1 et maintenue serree dans celui-ci, il suffira au   representant   de L'ordre de La tirer vers l'avant pour écarter les bords de La fente 4, ce qui fait sauter Le bouton-pression en   10,   et la Liberer de sa gaine.

    Game for truncheon The present invention relates to a sheath for truncheon and aims to achieve a sheath out of which the truncheon can be removed by its wearer, the representative of the Order, in an easy and fast way.



  A baton sheath usually consists of a single sleeve, into which the baton is slid and held. To be used, the baton must be slipped out of the sleeve-shaped sheath, which constitutes a handicap in an emergency.



  To overcome these drawbacks, it seemed advantageous to produce, according to the invention, a sheath for a baton characterized in that it is constituted by a sleeve having a continuity or slot solution.



  According to the invention the sleeve is sewn on a flexible frame intended to pinch and hold the baton.



    Also according to the invention The split sleeve has a substantially circular section, the edges of the slot extending slightly outward in

 closer together.



   Still according to the invention The sleeve is fixed so as to be able to pivot on a tab provided with slides for mounting on a belt.



   To make the invention easier to understand, the invention is now described in more detail on the basis of the appended drawing, by way of example only, showing:
Figure 1 a front view of a sheath according to the invention carried by its fixing lug;
Figures 2 and 3 a perspective view of the front and rear respectively of the sheath of Figure 1 mounted on a belt, and
Figure 4 a perspective view showing the possibility of pivoting of said sheath.



  A sheath for a baton according to the invention made of leather or the like consists of a sleeve 1 constituted by a plate 2 surmounted by a shaped piece 3 having a solution of continuity or slot 4. This piece 3 is sewn onto a flexible frame 3 ' , intended to pinch the baton (not shown) and to hold it.



  The sleeve 1 (2, 3) is carried by a lug 5 provided with slides 6. for mounting on a belt 7.



  The attachment of the sleeve 1 to the tab 5 is advantageously carried out using a central pivot 8, so as to be able to present the position of FIG. 4 with the baton Åa almost horizontal for a displacement.

  However, so that the sleeve 1 is held in place with the vertical baton, the plate 2 is provided at one end with elements of snaps 9 intended to come into engagement with corresponding elements provided on the tab 5.



  The shaped part 3 or sleeve itself has a substantially circular section to adapt to the baton but the edges of the slot 4 extend a little outward as they approach. The ends of this slot can advantageously be provided at 10 with a press button (not shown).



  The baton being slipped into the sleeve 1 and kept tight in it, it will suffice for the representative of the Order to pull it forward to spread the edges of the slot 4, which causes the snap button to jump at 10 , and release it from its sheath.

Claims 1. Sheath for baton in leather or the like, characterized in that it consists of a sleeve (1) presenting a solution of continuity or slot (4).

2. Sheath for baton according to claim 1, characterized in that the sleeve (1) is sewn on a flexible frame (3 ') intended to clamp and hold the baton.

3. Sheath for baton according to claim 1, characterized in that the split sleeve (1) has a substantially circular section, the edges of the slot (4) extending slightly outwardly approaching.

4. Sheath for baton according to claim 1, characterized in that the sleeve (1) consists of a plate (2) and a shaped part (3) constituting the sleeve itself.

5. Sheath for baton according to claim 4 characterized in that the sleeve (1) is fixed so as to be able to pivot (at 8) on a tab (5) provided with slides (6) for mounting on a belt (7) .
