<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
Afin de mieux comprendre l'invention, on la décrit maintenant par rapport à un dessin qui représente de manière exemplative à la figure 1, une vue générale schématique en coupe dans un dispositif selon l'invention; à la figure 2, un plan schématique en plan d'une installation de dessalement d'eau de mer;
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
A la figure 1, on a représenté par 1, une verrière, surface de chauffe, au travers de laquelle vont pouvoir passer les rayons solaires et dont la face intérieure récupère les condensats de jour et de nuit; par 2, la partie supérieure du liquide à traiter portée à température d'évaporation; par 3, une masse poreuse, alvéolée, amovible, autoflottante servant de capteur solaire et où se dépose le sel ou les résidus; par 4, le volume du liquide à traiter préchauffé par déperdition de chaleur de la masse 3;
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

The present invention relates to a treatment and purification of a material, but more particularly the evaporation of a liquid such as water, sea water fresh water, waste water or we are trying to eliminate it or, again with a view to recovering at least a part of the solid materials which it may contain. Preferably, the heat source provided to bring the material to evaporation, is solar radiation.
In a possible embodiment of the implementation of the apparatus, a device is provided which can be used for the treatment of sea water for the purpose, mainly of its desalination or of recovering or obtaining salt, and, of course for the two reasons together.
The apparatus according to the invention is characterized in that the material to be treated is brought into a flat container located at the top of the apparatus just under the canopy.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The material to be treated is brought to the evaporation temperature by immersion of a self-floating, permeable honeycombed and removable material, which collects solar radiation and makes it possible to more precisely heat the upper surface of the material to be treated and to recover the elements therefrom. solid.
The lower part of the device, located outside the direct action of the heat source, in the form of an expansion vessel buried in the ground allows the condensation of steam by heat exchange between the device and the ground and the recovery of the treated material and also allows a faster flow of condensates by vacuum.
More particularly, the invention relates however to the evaporation of liquids and the device for its implementation will be described below, a device which, arranged will allow a complete treatment installation to be produced in order to obtain water mild partially or almost completely free from salts or other bacteria.
Conversely, the installation could be designed with a view to obtaining or recovering, for example, salt but also with a view to recovering residual solid parts.
In order to better understand the invention, it is now described with reference to a drawing which shows, by way of example in FIG. 1, a general schematic view in section in a device according to the invention; in Figure 2, a schematic plan view of a seawater desalination plant;
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
In Figure 1, there is shown by 1, a canopy, heating surface, through which will be able to pass the sun's rays and whose inner face collects condensate day and night; by 2, the upper part of the liquid to be treated brought to evaporation temperature; par 3, a porous, honeycombed, removable, self-floating mass used as a solar collector and where salt or residues are deposited; by 4, the volume of the liquid to be treated preheated by heat loss from the mass 3;
by 5, the exhaust movements of the steam towards the condensation chamber 10; by 6, the condensing surfaces; by 7 ′, the lower part of the condensation chamber where the condensates end up by gravity; by 8, the upper level of the ground; by 9, the tank serving as a reservoir for the water to be treated; by 10, the condensation chamber in the form of an expansion vessel.
As is perfectly visible, provision is preferably made for a condensation chamber in the form of an expansion vessel in order to promote the flow of condensate on the walls 6 by creating a lower atmospheric pressure in this chamber.
It is expressly intended to keep the device perfectly airtight during its operation.
Referring to FIG. 2, there is shown an installation intended for water treatment and which is composed of a certain number of devices 11
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
which are as shown in Figure 1, which was connected by a number of pipes 12 connected to the outlets of the treated water, pipes 12 which lead by natural flow the treated water into a buried tank 13 connected by a pipe with pump 14 to an overhead tank allowing the distribution of water to the users thanks to the pipe 16.
The water to be treated 23 is channeled and pumped by the pump 22 and sent by means of the pipeline 21 to an overhead tank 20, itself connected to a leveling chamber 18 by the pipeline 19.
The water to be treated is then distributed to the devices 11 through the pipes 17.
In practice, only the canopies and the two storage tanks 15 and 10 will be visible, all the other elements being buried in the ground.
Furthermore, for example to increase the intensity of the rays, it is perfectly possible to plan to concentrate the solar rays in order to obtain an increase in the heating possibilities.
