Description

Invention title: STACKABLE GARDEN STAKE The invention is described in the following statement: 1. The invention is device which relates to the support and attachment of flora in soil or potting mix in either a garden or indoor pot application.
The invention has been conceived in order to facilitate and support the growth of flora.
The device is a modular component which by means of an integral locking mechanism that can be extended vertically to accommodate the growth of the flora.
In the preferred embodiment of the invention provision is made for the attachment of the flora to the invention by any suitable means such as wire, plastic coated wire, string, plastic ties and the like. In the preferred embodiment of the invention provision is made for the attachment of identification and care labels relating to the flora.
-J 2. Prior Art Currently, garden staking is still performed using traditional methods of fixed length stakes of wood, cane or metal. To the knowledge of the author no similar device or system to that :proposed by the author is presently available.

Disclosure In one form of the invention, the form of the stake may be angular with a thickened top edge for added strength, elongated slots along the outer edges allow for attachment of plant ties, thus supporting the plant. Multiple stakes can be joined together as the plant increases in height. The stakes have in-built support brackets and an in-built locking mechanism to secure the stakes together.
In another form of the invention, the form may comprise of a triangular shape with the stated features incorporated. (Fig.2) In another form of the invention, the form may comprise of a circular shape with the stated features incorporated. (Fig. 3) In another form of the invention, the form may comprise of a S- square shape with the stated features incorporated. (Fig. 4) The stake may be made of any suitable material, such as metal, or moulded plastic.
4. Claims The novelty of the invention resides in the configuration of a modular garden stake that accommodates the growth of flora and has integral attachment points for ties and/or identification tags for the flora.

Claims (2)

Disclosure In one form of the invention, the form of the stake may be angular with a thickened top edge for added strength, elongated slots along the outer edges allow for attachment of plant ties, thus supporting the plant. Multiple stakes can be joined together as the plant increases in height. The stakes have in-built support brackets and an in-built locking mechanism to secure the stakes together. In another form of the invention, the form may comprise of a triangular shape with the stated features incorporated. (Fig.2) In another form of the invention, the form may comprise of a circular shape with the stated features incorporated. (Fig. 3) In another form of the invention, the form may comprise of a S- square shape with the stated features incorporated.
