Abstract

The invention relates to a device for mechanical purification of biologically treated waste water, which has a drivable drum filter with disc-shaped filter bodies which have two filter surfaces, to which suction can be applied, on each of the sides. The invention is based on the object of providing a simple, easily handled design, in particular with respect to the disc-shaped filter bodies, for a device using a drum filter for mechanical purification of waste water. In addition, optimised extraction of dirt particles on the filter surfaces should be possible. According to the invention, this object is achieved by the combination of the following measures: a) A rotatably mounted, driven carrier pipe is provided. b) Individual removable frames coated with a filter cloth and altogether forming a disc-shaped filter body are fixed to the carrier pipe. c) Suction devices extending over one half are associated with the disc-shaped filter bodies on the two filter surfaces. <IMAGE>
