Description
System and equipment for a football type game
The invention concerns a system of equipment for Tornado game, a new version of football and it can be applied in the sport. It is known the existence of a system of playing equip¬ ment for football required by the laws of existing football [ 1, p.273 and which includes two FT -shaped goals, placed on each goal-line of the field of play and each goal is provided with devices for attachment of a net outside of the field for identification of a scored goal. For measurement of the played time a chronometer carried by the referee is used. In many stadiums in addition to this playing equipment there is information equipment which by no means is connect¬ ed with the playing one. This informεtion equipment is not controlled by the referee and there are variety of designs and functions, but as a matter of rules, there are a clock and a device to show the score. Similar information equip¬ ment is used in other sports and in some of them (basketball, ice hockey) instead of the clock, a chronometer, not control- led by the referee but controlled by a time-keeper, is in¬ stalled. In some sports the time-keeper controls also other additional chronometers for fixed interval of time! for penalty send off (ice hockey, water-polo) , for passing or possession of the ball (basketball) , etc. In the ice hockey as an element of information equipment, related directly to the play, is a red lamp, which is switched on by a goal an who watches whether the puck has crossed the goal-line. Ice hockey and basketball are played in small grounds and direct visual contacts between the referee and the time-keeper are

possible and secure for right reading of the chronometers, while the duration of the matches is according to played net time, but not according to astronomic time. In this way in these sports the played time information equipment installed on the information boards is related with the course of game and referee's decisions. In the football the only lawful chronometer is the one used by the referee, and its readings are not shown on the information boards. At the same time in football a time-keeper is not allowed by the Laws of the game. Disadvantages of the known collection of playing and in¬ formation equipment for football are in several directions. The main one is that including only one target (goal) for scoring it limits the variety of effective strategies for further playing actions at any moment of the game, which, at increasing physical capacity of players and their improving tactic ability and knowledge, leads to reduction of the pro¬ bability for scoring, and as a result - to decreasing attrac¬ tiveness of the game. At the same time this collection of playing and information equipment is not united into an en- tire system, while the measurement of the played time only by the referee without indication of his decisions fo obser¬ vation on the information board creates problems about the real durrtion of the match and the delay of its end due to causes caused because of accidents or other causes. In the existing collections of equipment the absence of chronometers for measurement of defined, fixed interval of time, which are used in other sports, does not allow intensification of the play through limitation of aimless playing and other actions within a certain interval of time.
SUBSTITUTE SHEET
The invention is to create additional plpying and infor¬ mation equipment, which united with the one existing in football grounds to form an entire system of playing and in¬ formation equipment for football, which is to create condi- tions for intensification of the play and increasing of the attractiveness of the game by means of creation of more op¬ portunities for scoring combinations, as well as by means of including to the system chronometers for fixed intervals of time which give possibility to limit the interval in which described by the Laws of the game aims must be achieved. At the same time the system must secure reliable indication of scoring, its recognition and record by the referee, and open registration and demonstration of the "ølayed time.
The solution of the problem is achieved by a system of equipment for Tornado, which includes a score registration board and for each of both teams a main I l-shaped goal with attached net, as well as added for each team one central additional goal, at least one pair additional side-goals, at least one board for marking scored goals and their approval by the referee and one chronometer for fixed interval of time with attached numerical display, and common for both teams a control unit, remote control unit, referee's key board and a chronometer for the played time. The central additional goal is Disced as a superstructure over the main goal, each pair of additional side-goals are placed outside the playing field , behind the goal line and symmetrically with respect to the main goal. Each additional goal has two sections and the front surfaces of two sections of an additional goal, which have one common side, lay in different planes, formed

by gratings which are hung on attached at the rear frame of the goal contactors, which are connected in parallel with a sectional relay, which is connected by a cable with the relays of the other sections of the goal and by a communica- tional channel with the control unit, which is connected with the boards for marking scored goals. Each of these boards is provided with indicating boxes for each goal, in¬ dicators for each section of the additional goals, an indi ¬ cator for approval of a scored goal in an additional goal, an indicator for its cancellation, and an indicator for ap¬ proval of a goal scored in the main goal. The control unit is connected through the remote control unit with referee's key board which has ON -OFF booton, three bootonε for each team, where one for approval of a goal scored in the main goal, one for cancellation of a goal scored in an additional goal, and one for approval of such a goal, a correction booton, RECORD booton, START booton and STOP booton, as for each of these bootons there is a separate remote control channel to the remote control unit, which is connected also with the score registration board, the chronometer for play¬ ed time, the chronometers for fixed interval of time and at¬ tached numerical displays.
Advantages of the invention of a system of equipment for Tornado, a new version of football, with respect to the existing collection of playing and information equipment for football are that it creates conditions for scoring in seve¬ ral separate goals, which gives opportunities for increase of the number and variety of scoring combinations of the teams, that it helps intensification of the play through

possibility of measurement of fixed intervals of time and re¬ duction of time losses when the ball is out of play, and that it reduces possibilities for referee's mistakes with respect to the end of the match, giving him opportunity to control the chronometers and to make his decisions available to the players and public at the moment when they are taken. In total, all created by the invention opportunities make the game of foot¬ ball more dynamic, competitive and attractive. As the utiliz¬ ation of these opportunities is possible if amendments to the existing Laws of football are made, the system, matter of the invention, is technological basis for a new version of the game of football, which will be played according to the amen¬ ded Laws, and which will be more intellectual, dynamic, com¬ petitive than the existing version of the game. The invention is described in more details in attached fig¬ ures where an example of the system is presented as follows:

Tornado game includes a score registration board ( 7 and for each of both teams a main [""l-shaped goal ( 1 ) with an atta¬ ched net ( 2 ), as well as added for each team one central additional goal ( 3 ) , at least one pair additional side- goals ( *•*. ) , at least one board ( 6 ) for marking scored goals and their approval by the referee and one chronometer for fixed interval of time ( >h ) with attached numerical dis¬ play ( 35 ) » and also with common for both teams a control unit 5 ) t remote control unit ( δ ) , referee' e key board ( 9 ) and a chronometer for the played time ( 33) • n this system the central additional goal (.3 ) i*5 placed as a superstruc¬ ture over the main goal ( 1 ) , each pair of additional side- goals ( h ) are placed outside the playing field, behind the goal-line and symmetrically with respect to the main goal, and each additional goal has at least two sections (in Fig.2 the central additional goal is shown with two side-sections ( 11 ) and one central section ( 10 ) while the additional side-goal in Fig.3 has two sections ( 12 ) and ( 13 ) . The front surfaces of two sections of an additional goal, which have one common side, lay in different planes, formed by gratings ( 1 ) which are hung on attached at the rear frame ( 28 ) of the goal con¬ tactors ( 15 ) t which are connected in parallel with a secti¬ onal relay 16 ) which is connected by a cable ( 0) with the relays of the other sections of the goal and by a communicatio- nal channel ( 29 ) with the control unit ( 5 )» which is connected with the boards ( 6 ) for marking scored goals, which are pro¬ vided with indicating boxes ( 17 ) for each goal, indicators ( 18 ) for each section of the additional goals, an indicator ( 19 ) for approval of a scored goal in an additional goal, an

indicator ( 20 ) for its cancellation, and an indicator ( 21 ) for approval of a goal scored in the main goal, and at the same time the control unit ( 5 ) is connected through the remote control unit ( 8 ) with the referee's key board ( 9 ) » which has
booton ( 22 ) , three bootons for each team, where one (23) is for approval of a scored goal in the main goal, one ( 2 k ) is for cancellation of a goal scored in an additio¬ nal goal and one ( 25 ) is for approval of such a goal, a cor¬ rection booton C 26 ) , RECORD booton 27), START booton ( 31 ., and STOP booton ( 32 ) , as for each of these bootons there is a separate remote control channel to the remote control unit ( 8 ) , which is connected also with the score registration board ( 7 )* the chronometer ( 33 ) for played time, the chro¬ nometers ( 3h ) for fixed interval of time and attached numerical displays ( 35 ) •
The work of the system of playing and information equip¬ ment for Tornado game is as follows. Simultaneously with the signal to start the match the referee presses START booton ( 31 ) on the key board ( 9 ) • In this case he switches on the key board automatically and sends a command to the remote control unit 8 ) to put on the chronometer ( 33 ) for played time on the score registration board ( 7 ) • When the ball is scored in a main goal, if the referee approves the scored goal he switches on the key board ( 9 ) by the O -OFF booton 22 ) and pressing booton ( 23 ) he sends a command to the remote control unit ( 8 ) , which translates it to the control unit ( 5 )• The latest puts on the indicator ( 21 ) on the cor¬ respondent board ( 6 ) for marking scored goals. After the verification of the indication the referee, pressing

the booton RECORD ( 27 ) sends a command to the remote con¬ trol unit ( 8 ) which works out a co and for change of the score on the score registration board ( 7 ) • W en booton RE¬ CORD is pressed the remote control unit works out also a command "STAND BY" which is sent to the control unit 5 » which switches off the indicators on the score narking board ( 6 ) which have been activated and the whole system is tran- εfered to be ready for the command STAnT from referee's key board. When booton ( 23 ) or ( 25 ) is pressed at the same time a command for stopping the chronometer ( 33 ) and the chro¬ nometers ( 3h )f if they havebeen activated, is worked out. When after player's shot the ball reaches an additional goal ( 3 ) or ( ) it strikes gratings ( 1 ) of a section of the additional goal and due to the impact impulse the grating moves backward and closes contacts in one or more contactors
( 15 ) on which the grating is hung. In this way the relay ( 16 ) of the section is activated and at the same time through the cable ( 3^ ) the power to the other sectional relays of the goal is disconnected and the rebounding ball cannot activate them. *'rom the relay ( 16 ) through a communicational channel ( 29 ) a signal to the control unit C 5 ) i sent. This unit translates it automatically to the correspondent score mark¬ ing board ( 6 ). he command is directed to correspondent in¬ dicator ( 18 ) in correspondent goal box ( 17 ) and it puts the indicator on. The referee, after verification of the scored goal has two opportunities: either to approve the goal or to cancel it. In both cases he switches on the key board ( 9 ) by the ON - OFF booton ( 22 ). When the goal is to be approved he presses the correspondent to the team booton ( 5 ) which

through the remote control unit ( 8 ) and the control unit (5) puts on the indicator ( 19 ) on the correspondent score marking board (.6 ) . At the same time the remote control unit stops the chronometers. After the verification of the indication the referee presses the RECORD booton ( 2 ~" ) and in this way sends a command for change of the score to the remote control unit, which works out and sends commands for correspondent changes of the readings on the score registration board and on affected chronometer ( 3k ) and numerical display ( 35 )• *^ the same time STAND BY command is worked out. When the referee cancels a goal scored in an additional goal he press¬ es the booton ( 2k) and a command through the remote control unit ( 8 ) and the control unit ( 5 ) activates the indicator (.20 ) on the correspondent score marking board. After the verification of the indications the referee waits for an in¬ terval of time required by the Laws of the game and presses RECORD booton. In this case the remote control unit does not change the score but switches the system to the STAND BY mode. The game continues after referee's signal to play on. At the seme time he presses START booton and chronometers are restarted. When a mistake takes place in referee's comands before he presses RECORD booton he can cancel all of them by pressing the booton (26) and send new ones, using bootons ( 23), { 2k ) or ( 25 ) . When the play has to be stopped for reasons other than scored goal the referee uses STOP booton and through the remote control unit he stops the chronometer ( 33 ) and both chronometers ( 3k ) .
