Abstract

A bevellingtrolley system to bevel upper and lower edges on a concrete vertical edge simultaneously in combination with a wet grinder. The disclosed inventive device includes a trolley base 19 manufactured to hold a 125mm wet grinder in place positioned horizontally onto trolley base with top section of grinder at front working end of trolley. The trolley includes a clamp 3 attached to the base 19 of trolley which holds grinder in position. Two stainless steel handle plates 2 are attached at front of trolley to sides of aluminium clamp 3 with a hardened poly plastic handle 1 placed between them positioned above grinder to maneuver bevelling trolley system. The clamp 3 can be removed by loosening fasteners to replace grinder when required. The hardened poly plastic handle 1 gives a secure grip when operating the bevelling trolley system. Three castorwheels 15 are used to support and roll bevelling grinding trolley along the concrete edge. Knob 18 located at back of trolley above back castorwheel adjusts trolley height and angle to concrete level. A 125mm wet grinder is clamped to the bevelling trolley system and the bevelling trolley system shaft 10 is connected to grinder along with upper and lower profile wheels 8,14 which are held in position on the shaft with stainless steel rollers 9,12, spacer 11 a metal coiled spring 19 and flange nut 13. The grinder is plugged into mains and powered up and water hose connected to a tap and the water hose component on grinder in order to wet grind. Profile wheels on bevelling trolley system shaft 10 grinds the top and bottom of the concrete edge surface to a smooth bevel finish simultaneously when the grinders power switch is on.

Description

COMPLETE SPECIFICATION STANDARD PATENT BEVELLING TROLLEY SYSTEM
The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to me:
BEVELLING TROLLEY SYSTEM BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
(0001) At present when bevelling vertical concrete or tiled surfaces, a wet grinder with one attached profile wheel is held in place by the operator's hand which guides the wet grinder and profile wheel along a concrete or tiled edge to bevel the upper edge and then repeating this step to do the lower concrete or tiled edge.
(0002) The current way to bevel concrete and tiled edges is time consuming due to upper and lower edges being bevelled separately, dangerous due to working within close proximity of water without a stable trolley device to hold wet grinder in place and causes fatigue on the user's arm due to holding the grinder in position for long lengths of time to achieve a bevelled edge to upper and lower concrete vertical edges.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
(0003) This invention has been specially devised to eliminate identified issues whilst bevelling both the upper and lower concrete edges simultaneously.
(0004) The bevelling trolley system is a stainless-steel grinder trolley on castor wheels with a custom fitted clamp to secure a 125mm wet grinder in position. The attached grinder is rolled effortlessly along the edge of concrete whilst profile wheels fitted including spacer, spring and rollers to the custom designed bevelling trolley system shaft is connected to the 125mm wet grinder's standard tool fixture bevels the concrete upper and lower edges simultaneously. This results in both edges of the vertical concrete edge being bevelled quickly, with less fatigue on the operator and in a safer working manner.
(0005) This system has been designed for bevelling of concrete and tiled edges on pool edges, bench tops, floating steps and vertical overhangs on walls. The grinding trolley is designed to hold a 125mm variable speed wet grinder with RCD.
(0006) The bevelling trolley system is made of stainless-steel, however it could possibly be made using aluminium or poly plastic with steel components also. The bevelling trolley system shaft that is attached to the grinder is made of stainless steel as are the spacers and spring.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
(0007) The bevelling trolley system can be better understood with reference to the illustrations of the invention APPENDIX 1-A:
Figure 1 is left side of bevelling trolley system with numbered parts on concrete vertical edge.
Figure 2 is front view of the bevelling trolley system with numbered parts on a concrete vertical edge.
DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS
(0008) Figures 1 and 2 of the drawings illustrate a bevelling trolley system comprising of a base 19 made of stainless steel and a grinder clamp 3 made of aluminium designed to securely support a 125mm grinder in place which is attached to the trolley base 19. The grinder clamp is removed by loosening fasteners to replace grinder and the handle plates 2 are made of stainless-steel, handle 1 is made of hardened poly plastic. The handle 1 is a comfortable secure grip whilst operating the bevelling trolley system. An adjustable knob 18 is located at top back end of trolley to customise trolley height to suit concrete edge level. The bevelling trolley system shaft 10 is made of stainless steel, the spacer 11 of aluminium and spring 19 of stainless steel which are locked in place including upper and lower profile wheels along with upper and lower stainless-steel rollers 9,12 with the adjustment of the nyloc flange nut 13. The width of the profile wheels can be adjusted to suit concrete edge by adding additional spacer and or spring to the shaft setup. Three castor wheels 15 located at front corners and one at back of trolley and are used to support and move the grinding trolley base 19 upon a surface when in use.
(0009) The bevelling trolley is rolled along the concrete or tiled edge by the operator. The wet grinder which has the bevelling system shaft, two profile wheels, spacers and spring attached is fastened to the bevelling trolley system. Profile wheels are adjusted on the shaft with spacers and spring to required width then placed against concrete upper and lower edges. The wet grinder when turned on, machine bevels the concrete vertical edge to a smooth, bevelled edge simultaneously to the top and bottom vertical concrete edge. The wet grinder is plugged into the mains and a water hose connected to the water hose component of grinder located on left side of bevelling trolley system.
(0010) The bevelling trolley system has been invented for wet grinding of vertical concrete and tiled edges simultaneously.
(0011) With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to falling within the scope of the invention.
