Abstract
The present invention relates to A formulation of medicaments using Lantana Camara for
treatment of Skin related diseases and methods thereof. This invention particularly relates to the

There are many different types of soaps are avialble both commercial as well as herbal. Neem
based soap and Aloe vira containing soaps are common. Glycerine and lemon soaps are also

in the market but they work very slowly. The commercial soaps exaggerate the problem.

natural insecticide. The natural insecticide is prepared by mixing toxic ingredients such as Nerium
indicum, Arisaema amurense, Arisaema heterophyllum Blume, Cicuta virosa, Lantana camara,
.5 Scopolia japonica, Dieffenbachia, Digitalis purpurea, and Sapium japonicum with useful liquid
microorganisms and extracting and fermenting active ingredients contained in the toxic ingredients
by using the useful liquid microorganisms. Accordingly, the natural insecticide has excellent

medicine composition for treating blood-deficiency and wind-dryness type eczema. The
traditional-Chinese-medicine composition is prepared from the following raw materials: axillary
choerospondias barks, java speedwell, roots of procumbent indian mallow, lantana camara leaves,
celastrus rosthornianus loes roots, rhizoma dioscoreae zingiberensis, alpina subsp imaicola, tuber
fleeceflower stems, teucrium pilosum, herb of knottedflower phyla, hairy euphorbia, three-leaf
hydrocotyle vulgaris and liquorice. The traditional-Chinese-medicine composition can be used for
treating the blood-deficiency and wind-dryness type eczema clinically.

To prevent such situation this Mantana soap has been invented to help those patients which has

from the fact that plant product has potential to care your skin and protect the skin from infection.
This plant has dermatitis action on skin. It can kill bacteria and fungal spored from the skin while

Lantan camara forms extensive, dense and impenetrable thickets in forestry plantations, orchards,
pasture land, waste land and in natural areas. The rapid spread of L. camara is associated with
human induced disturbance. Lantana camara L. family Verbenaceae is an exotic perennial hard
.5 woody shrub weed with beautiful clusters of flowers orange, red, yellow, multicolored (orange,
red and yellow mixed), pink, white, purple.
It can also invade forest gaps. In areas where natural fires occur they stimulate thicker regrowth.
The fallen leaves produce allelopathic substances that prevent other plants germinating and
growing beneath L. camara which results in no understory below the thickets and a "monoculture"
of the alien plant which continues to spread and adapt to drier conditions as well as invading
medium to high rainfall areas in East Africa. Rapid spread is also characteristic of wild L. camara
in East Africa such that many hundreds of hectares of both productive grazing and protected grasslands/woodlands have been observed to become heavily invaded with a few years of first infiltration from roadside infestations
Lantana camara L. family Verbenaceae is an exotic perennial hard woody shrub weed with
beautiful clusters of flowers orange, red, yellow, multicolored (orange, red and yellow mixed),
pink, white, purple.
It has great potential to kill bacteria, fungi, molds, viruses, tumors. It possesses wound healing
properties. The plant has medicinal value but no one has thought of preparation any medicine from
it. The chief ingredients of this plant are triterpenoids, essential oils, and phenolic compounds.
Bioassay studies revealed its pesticidal properties. The plant product was applied to cure human

Introduction of skin diseases:
The most common skin diseases of human are eczema and ring worm disease. A brief description
is given below:
Eczema: It affects 9-30% of the population in India. People living in dry climates and cities are
.5 more prone to develop eczema. It can affect males as well as females.
Eczema is likely related to conditions that adversely affect the skin's barrier function (including
genetic factors, nutrient deficiencies, bacterial infection, and dry, irritated skin).
Ring Worm: Dermatophytosis, more commonly known as ringworm, is a fungal infection of the
skin. It's caused by a fungus.Ringworm infection can affect both humans and animals. The
symptoms of infection occurs as red patches on affected areas of the skin and later spreads to other
parts of the body. The infection may affect the skin of the scalp, feet, groin, beard, or other areas.
It is identified by red, itchy, scaly, or raised patches, patches that develop blisters or begin to ooze; patches that may be redder on the outside edges or resemble a ring; patches with edges that are defined and raised.
Itching: This is the most common problem of man working in the field.
The present invention can be used to wash and bath human body in all types of skin diseases. It
will protect the skin from further deterioration. Washing from soap before applying ointment will
cure the skin at faster rate.
Working Example:
The first step is of the present invention is preparation of Lantana Extract: Lantana camara is a
unique medicinal plant. In present invention, the extract the photochemical present, and do
.0 extractions with organic and polar solvents. For the polar solvent (water and partly methanol),
hence we will extract all polar compounds and can fractionate them and do mass spectrometry and
NMR to identify them. For the organic solvent extractions, done sequential extractions with a
number of organic solvents. Then we can carry out mass spectrometry to determine the
compounds.
.5 Further, Twigs of Lantana camara L. done and Active plant part immersed in water for 2-3 days
and Boil and Sieve in muslin cloth.
Next, Mixing the Soya bean oil and coconut oil in a pan and Warm gently the mixer of two
oils in a heavy pan and heat to 50°C. Take 1 litre of water in a heavy pan. Measure Sodium
hydroxide (NaoH) and add it slowly to water (one Litre) and stir slowly until dissolved. It is
exothermic reaction so never add water to sodium hydroxide or never touch with finger. It will
burn otherwise. Allow the mixer of sodium hydroxide and water to cool about 60 degree. Pour
mixer of sodium hydroxide and water in a heavy pan having mixer of two oils. Stir continuously
and vigorously. After some time soap will be separated from the rest of the solution. Add glycerine and plant extract to the soap paste. The soap will be solidified in few hours. So as to, Transparent pink Mantana Soap is formed very effective in controlling skin diseases and keeping skin healthy in normal skin.

2 Soya bean oil
3 coconut oil
4 Sodium hydroxide
5 water
6 Glycerin
Claims (4)
1. A formulation of medicaments using Lantana Camara for treatment of Skin related diseases.
2. The formulation as claimed in claim 1, wherein said formulation comprises Plant product i.e. a
part of Lantana camara L. of family Verbenaceae, Castic soda, Oil and other soap making
ingredients.
3. A method of preparation of formulation of medicaments using Lantana Camara for treatment of
Skin related diseases.
4. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein said is comprising the steps of extracting, twigging,
active plant part immersed in water for 72 hrs, boil and Sieve in muslin cloth, Mixing Soya bean
oil and coconut oil in a pan, Warming gently the mixer of two oils in a heavy pan and heat to 50°C,
taking 1 litre of water in a heavy pan, Measure Sodium hydroxide (NaoH) and add it slowly to
water (one Litre) and stir slowly until dissolved; Allow the mixer of sodium hydroxide and water
to cool about 60 degree; Pour mixer of sodium hydroxide and water in a heavy pan having mixer
of two oils; Stir continuously and vigorously; After some time soap will be separated from the rest
of the solution; Adding glycerine and plant extract to the soap paste; the soap will be solidified in
few hours.1
