FIG. 2
[0001] This invention relates to the technical field of pig breeding, in particular to an
eco-friendly pigsty using fermentation bed to supplement temperature to serve pig
mother and piglet.
[0002] With the development of animal husbandry, the scale of pig raising witnesses
great increase, but how to improve sow farrowing rate and piglet survival rate has
become a difficult problem faced by farmers and breeding enterprises.
[0003] At present, most farms adopt a one-time weaning measure, which separates the
suckling sows and piglets at one time, and then raises said piglets separately; due to
the sudden separation from the sow and siblings, said piglets usually suffer from
weaning stress response under this breeding method thus reduce the survival rate of
said piglets.
[0004] On the other hand, large changes in the feeding environment of pregnant sows
from pregnancy to production and lactation can also easily cause the stress response
of said pregnant sows, which can lead to low litter rate and high stillbirth rate in
severe cases.
[0005] Third, in cold seasons (such as winter) or areas with low temperatures (such as
Northeast China), external environment is low in temperature, and strong heat is
needed to be provided to the pigsty during the breeding process, which consumes lot
of energy and thus improves breeding cost.
[0006] Therefore, the design and construction of an integrated pigsty for mothers and
piglets, while applying fermentation bed technology to sows and piglets breeding is of
great sustainable development significance to Chinese pig breeding industry; said
pigsty can provide suitable growth conditions for said sows and piglets.
[0007] This invention aims to provide familiar environmental conditions for female
pig in its pregnancy, childbirth to breastfeeding process; adjust heat produced by
fermentation bed to control temperature inside pigsty to provide suitable growth
conditions for pig mothers and piglets.
