Abstract

A wagon tippler for tippling an open top container transported by a railway flatcar, and a railway open wagon, comprising a rotor (1), a main backup plate (2), a vehicle pressing device, an auxiliary backup plate (4), a carrier roller device (10), a drive device (11), and a backup plate extension device. The main backup plate (2) is hingedly connected to the rotor (1) by means of a parallel linkage. The vehicle pressing device comprises a backup plate side vehicle pressing device (3) and a backup plate opposite side vehicle pressing device (8), is placed in a sliding rail of the vehicle pressing device, and is driven by a vehicle pressing cylinder to move. The auxiliary backup plate (4) is hingedly connected to the main backup plate (2) by means of a linkage mechanism, and is driven by an auxiliary backup plate cylinder (18). The backup plate extension device comprises an extension plate (15) and an extension device cylinder (16). The extension plate (15) is hingedly connected to a lower end of the main backup plate (2) and the auxiliary backup plate (4), separately, and is unfolded and retracted by the backup plate extension device cylinder (16). The wagon tippler is capable of tippling both an open top container transported by a railway flatcar, and a railway open wagon.

Description

CAR DUMPER FOR DUMPING TOP-OPEN CONTAINERS TRANSPORTED BY RAILWAY FLATCARS AND DUMPING RAILWAY GONDOLA CARS FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a car dumper for dumping top-open containers transported by railway flatcars and dumping railway gondola cars, in particular to a car dumper for dumping top-open containers transported by railway flatcar together with the flatcar itself, which can also be used for dumping railway gondola cars.

At present, railway transportation containers are mainly transported by railway flatcars. Generally, one flatcar transports two standard 20-foot containers. The disadvantages of the prior art are low efficiency, high cost, large land occupation, and low degree of automation.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

dumping top-open containers transported by railway flatcars and dumping railway gondola
cars, comprising a rotor, a main backup plate, a car pressing device, auxiliary backup plates,
idler devices, driving devices, and a backup plate extension device; the rotor is composed of
two C-shaped rings which are fixedly installed at two ends of a rotor platform respectively, the
rotor is placed on the idler device, and the driving devices drive the rotor; wherein,
the main backup plate is a rectangular plate, two ends and a middle part of the front
face of the rectangular plate are forward bosses, front faces "a" of the three bosses
respectively correspond to corner posts of two sides of two top-open containers transported by
a railway flatcar and adjacent middle corner posts of that, the centers of the three bosses are
provided with car pressing device slideways penetrating through the upper and lower surfaces
of the bosses; the height of the main backup plate is so arranged that its upper edge is located
below the upper corner fitting of the top-open container, and its lower edge is located above
the lower corner fitting of the top-open container; the upper and lower parts of both ends of the
main backup plate are respectively provided with main backup plate parallel rod, one end of
the main backup plate parallel rod is hinged on the main backup plate, and the other end is
hinged on the rear cross beam connected between the two C-shaped rings, and the two ends
of the main backup plate oil cylinder are respectively hinged on the main backup plate and the
rear beam connected between the two C-shaped rings;
the car pressing device comprises backup-plate-side car pressing devices and
backup-plate-opposite-side car pressing devices; the backup-plate-side car pressing device
comprises a car pressing beam I and backup-plate-side car pressing oil cylinders; the car

upper and lower parts of both ends of the main backup plate 2 are respectively provided with
main backup plate parallel rod 12, one end of the main backup plate parallel rod 12 is hinged
on the main backup plate 2, and the other end is hinged on the rear cross beam connected
between the two C-shaped rings, and the two ends of the main backup plate oil cylinder 13 are respectively hinged on the main backup plate 2 and the rear beam connected between t the two C-shaped rings.

backup-plate-opposite-side car pressing devices 8, the backup-plate-side car pressing device
3 comprises a car pressing beam I and backup-plate-side car pressing oil cylinders; the

backup-plate-opposite-side car pressing guide sleeves 9 are arranged on the front cross beam
connected between the two C-shaped rings, and the three backup-plate-side car pressing
guide sleeves 9 are respectively opposite to three bosses on the main backup plate 2; the car
pressing beam II includes three inverted L-shaped vertical beams, the inner face of short
horizontal of the "L" is a beam pressing face, and the long vertical pillar of the "L" is a vertical
beam column; the vertical beam column is matched with the inner hole of the backup-plate
opposite-side car pressing guide sleeve 9 on the front cross beam, and is placed in the inner
hole and can slide up and down in it; the car pressing oil cylinders 7 are arranged on the side
of the car pressing beam II, and one end of the car pressing oil cylinder 7 is connected with the
car pressing beam II and the other end is connected with the backup-plate-opposite-side car
pressing guide sleeve 9.
[0061] The auxiliary backup plate 4 is flat plate; two auxiliary backup plates are arranged
between the three bosses in front of the main backup plate 2; the upper edge of the auxiliary
backup plate 4 is located below the upper corner fitting of the top-open container transported

frame of the railway flatcar; the back of the auxiliary backup plate 4 is hinged with the main backup plate 2 through auxiliary backup plate parallel connecting rods 17, and one end of the auxiliary backup plate oil cylinder 18 is hinged with the auxiliary backup plate 4 and the other end is hinged with the main backup plate 2;

and an auxiliary backup plate extension device, which both comprise an extension plate 15
and an extension device oil cylinder 16; wherein, the extension plate 15 is a flat plate, and the
upper end of the extension plate of the main backup plate extension device is hinged on the
bottom surface of the lower end of the main backup plate 2; one end of the extension device oil
cylinder of the main backup plate extension device is hinged on the main backup plate 2, and
the other end is hinged on the extension plate; the upper end of the extension plate of the
auxiliary backup plate extension device is hinged on the bottom surface of the lower end of the
auxiliary backup plate 4, one end of the extension device oil cylinder of the auxiliary backup
plate extension device is hinged on the auxiliary backup plate 4, and the other end is hinged
on the extension plate; when the backup plate extension device is opened, the front face of the
extension plate is flush with the front faces "a" of the main backup plate bosses and the front
faces "b" of the auxiliary backup plate respectively; when the backup plate extension device is
retracted, the extension plate retracts, and the main backup plate 2 and the auxiliary backup
plates 4 restore their original height dimension of the main backup plates and auxiliary backup
plates.
[0063] The main backup plate 2, the rear cross beam connected between the two C-shaped
rings and the parallel connecting rods 12 of the main backup plate together form a four-rod
mechanism of the main backup plate, and each side of the two sides of the main backup plate
2 is provided with two connecting rods 12 respectively, forming a four-rod linkage on each
side; the auxiliary backup plate 4, the main backup plate 2 and the parallel connecting rods 17
of the auxiliary backup plate together form a four-rod mechanism of the auxiliary backup plate;
there are two connecting rods 17 on each side of the two sides of the main backup plate 2 and
the auxiliary backup plate 4, which are horizontally parallel or obliquely parallel, forming a four- rod linkage on each side. The main backup plate oil cylinder 13 drives the main backup plate
2, so as to drive the horizontal parallel connecting rods on both sides of the main backup plate
2 to rotate.
[0064] The method for dumping the top-open container transported by railway flatcars
includes the following steps:
1) Start the main backup plate oil cylinder 13 to drive the main backup plate 2 to
retract; start the backup-plate-side car pressing oil cylinder 14 and the backup-plate-opposite
side car pressing oil cylinder 7 to drive the backup-plate-side car pressing device 3 and the
backup-plate-opposite-side car pressing device 8 to raise respectively; start the auxiliary
backup plate oil cylinder 18 to drive the auxiliary backup plates 4 to retract so that the front
faces "b" of the auxiliary backup plate are behind the front faces "a" of the main backup plate
boss; start the backup plate extension device oil cylinder 16 to drive the backup plate
extension device to retract, so that the main backup plate 2 and the auxiliary backup plate 4
are in a retracted state;
2) After the top-open container 6 transported by the railway flatcar 5 enters the car
dumper in place, the main backup plate oil cylinder 13 drives the main backup plate 2 to move
transversely, according to the track formed by the parallel connecting rods 12 of the main
backup plate, to make the front faces "a" of the bosses of the main backup plate to abut
against the corner posts of the top-open container respectively;
3) The backup-plate-side car pressing oil cylinder 14 and the backup-plate-opposite
side car pressing oil cylinder 7 respectively drive the backup-plate-side car pressing device 3
and the backup-plate-opposite-side car pressing device 8 to move down vertically, so as to
press the corner fittings of the top-open container 6;
4) The auxiliary backup plate oil cylinder 18 drives the auxiliary backup plate 4 to
move transversely, along the track formed by the parallel connecting rods 17 of the auxiliary
backup plate, to abut against the middle box plate of the top-open container 6;
5) Start the driving device 11 to drive the rotor 1 to rotate on the idler 10, so as to
rotate the railway flatcar 5 and the top-open container 6 on the flatcar together, and unload the
materials in the top-open container 6;
6) Perform reverse operation according to the sequence from step 1) to step 5) to
make the car dumper return to the starting position.
[0065] The method for dumping the railway gondola car comprises the following steps:
1) Start the main backup plate oil cylinder 13 to drive the main backup plate 2 to
retract; Start the backup-plate-side car pressing cylinder 14 and the backup-plate-opposite
side car pressing cylinder 7 to drive the backup-plate-side car pressing device 3 and the
backup-plate-opposite-side car pressing device to raise respectively;
2) Start the auxiliary backup plate oil cylinder 18 to drive the auxiliary backup plate to
extend out, so that the front faces "b" of the auxiliary backup plate are in the same plane as the
front faces "a" of the main backup plate boss; start the backup plate extension device oil
cylinder 16 to drive the backup plate extension device 15 to open, so that the main backup
plate 2 and the auxiliary backup plate 4 are in an extended state;
3) After the railway gondola car 19 enters the car dumper in place, the main backup
plate cylinder 13 drives the main backup plate 2 and the auxiliary backup plate 4 on the main
backup plate to move transversely, according to the track formed by the parallel connecting
rod 12 of the main backup plate, to make the front faces "a" of the main backup plate boss and
the front faces "b" of the auxiliary backup plate to abut against the side column of the railway
gondola car;
4) Start the backup-plate-side car pressing oil cylinder 14 and the backup-plate
opposite-side car pressing oil cylinder 7 to respectively drive the backup-plate-side car
pressing device 3 and the backup-plate-opposite-side car pressing device 8 to move down
vertically to press the roof tail of the railway gondola car 19;
5) Start the driving device 11 to drive the rotor 1 to rotate on the idler 10, so as to
drive the railway gondola car 19 to rotate together, and unload the materials in the gondola car
19.
6) Perform operation according to the reverse sequence of step 1) to step 5) to make
the car dumper return to the starting position.
Embodiment 2
[0066] The backup plate extension device oil cylinder is hinged through a ball slide
structure, and other hinged structures are the same as those in Embodiment 1.
[0067] The structure hinged by the ball slide structure includes a swing rod 20, a backup
plate extension device slide 21 and a swing rod roller 22; backup plate extension device slide
21 is a long groove slide and fixed on the back of the extension plate 15, the swing rod roller is
placed in the backup plate extension device slide 21 and can move along the slide groove. The
swing rod 20 is a long straight rod, the lower end of which is hinged on the swing rod roller 22,
and the upper part of the swing rod 20 is hinged with the backup plate extension device oil
cylinder.
Embodiment 3

the other end of the backup plate extension device oil cylinder is hinged at the hinge point of
the connecting rod 123 and the connecting rod II24.

Claims (6)

1. A car dumper for dumping top-open containers transported by railway flatcars and
dumping railway gondola cars, comprising a rotor, a main backup plate, a car pressing device,
auxiliary backup plates, idler devices, driving devices, and a backup plate extension device;
the rotor is composed of two C-shaped rings which are fixedly installed at two ends of a rotor
platform respectively, the rotor is placed on the idler device, and the driving devices drive the
rotor; wherein,
the main backup plate is a rectangular plate, two ends and a middle part of the front
face of the rectangular plate are forward bosses, front faces "a" of the three bosses
respectively correspond to corner posts of two sides of two top-open containers transported by
a railway flatcar and adjacent middle corner posts of that, the centers of the three bosses are
provided with car pressing device slideways penetrating through the upper and lower surfaces
of the bosses; the height of the main backup plate is so arranged that its upper edge is located
below the upper corner fitting of the top-open container, and its lower edge is located above
the lower corner fitting of the top-open container; the upper and lower parts of both ends of the
main backup plate are respectively provided with main backup plate parallel rod, one end of
the main backup plate parallel rod is hinged on the main backup plate, and the other end is
hinged on the rear cross beam connected between the two C-shaped rings, and the two ends
of the main backup plate oil cylinder are respectively hinged on the main backup plate and the
rear beam connected between the two C-shaped rings;
the car pressing device comprises backup-plate-side car pressing devices and
backup-plate-opposite-side car pressing devices; the backup-plate-side car pressing device
comprises a car pressing beam I and backup-plate-side car pressing oil cylinders; the car
pressing beam I comprises three inverted L-shaped beams which are arranged in the car
pressing device slideways at the three bosses of the main backup plate, and can slide up and
down in the car pressing device slideways; one end of the backup-plate-side car pressing oil
cylinder is hinged on the car pressing beam I, and the other end is hinged on the rotor
platform; the backup-plate-opposite-side car pressing device comprises backup-plate
opposite-side car pressing guide sleeves, a car pressing beam || and car pressing oil cylinders; the backup-plate-opposite-side car pressing guide sleeves are arranged on a front cross beam connected between the two C-shaped rings, and the three backup-plate-side car pressing guide sleeves are respectively opposite to the three bosses on the main backup plate; the car pressing beam || comprises three inverted L-shaped beams, the inner face of short horizontal of the "L" is a beam pressing face, and the long vertical pillar of the "L" is a vertical beam column; the vertical beam column is matched with the inner hole of the three backup-plate opposite-side car pressing guide sleeve on the front cross beam and is placed in the inner hole, and can slide up and down in the inner hole; the car pressing oil cylinders are arranged on the side of the car pressing beam II, and one end of the car pressing oil cylinder is connected with the car pressing beam || and the other end is connected with the backup-plate opposite-side car pressing guide sleeve; the auxiliary backup plates are flat plates, two auxiliary backup plates are arranged between the three bosses in front of the main backup plate, and the height of the auxiliary backup plate is so arranged that its upper edge is located below the upper corner fitting of the top-open containers, and its lower edge is located above the lower corner fitting of the top open containers; the back of the auxiliary backup plate is hinged with the main backup plate through auxiliary backup plate parallel connecting rods; and one end of the auxiliary backup plate oil cylinder is hinged with the auxiliary backup plate and the other end is hinged with the main backup plate; the backup plate extension device comprises a main backup plate extension device and an auxiliary backup plate extension device, which both comprise an extension plate and an extension device oil cylinder; wherein, the extension plate is a flat plate, and the upper end of the extension plate of the main backup plate extension device is hinged on the bottom surface of the lower end of the main backup plate; one end of the extension device oil cylinder of the main backup plate extension device is hinged on the main backup plate, and the other end is hinged on the extension plate; the upper end of the extension plate of the auxiliary backup plate extension device is hinged on the bottom surface of the lower end of the auxiliary backup plate; one end of the extension device oil cylinder of the auxiliary backup plate extension device is hinged on the auxiliary backup plate, and the other end is hinged on the extension plate; when the backup plate extension device is opened, the front face of the extension plate is flush with the front faces "a" of the main backup plate bosses and the front faces "b" of the auxiliary backup plate respectively; when the backup plate extension device is retracted, the extension plate retracts, and the main backup plate and the auxiliary backup plates restore their original height dimensions.
2. The car dumper for dumping top-open containers transported by railway flatcars and
dumping railway gondola cars according to claim 1, wherein the hinge between the extension
plate of the main/auxiliary backup extension device and the extension device oil cylinder is a
hinge of roller slide structure or connecting rod structure; the roller slide structure comprises a
swing rod, a backup plate extension device slide and a swing rod roller; the backup plate
extension device slide is a long groove slide, which is fixed on the back of the extension plate;
the swing rod roller is placed in the backup plate extension device slide and can move along
the slide groove; the swing rod is a long straight rod, the lower end of the swing rod is hinged
with the swing rod roller, the upper part of the swing rod is hinged with the backup plate
extension device oil cylinder; the connecting rod structure comprises a connecting rod I and a
connecting rod II, one end of the connecting rod I is hinged with one end of the connecting rod
II, the other end of the connecting rod I is hinged with the main backup plate or the auxiliary
backup plate, the other end of the connecting rod II is hinged on the back of the extension
plate, and the other end of the backup plate extension device oil cylinder is hinged at the hinge
point of the connecting rod I and the connecting rod II.
3. The car dumper for dumping top-open containers transported by railway flatcars and
dumping railway gondola cars according to claim 2, wherein the main backup plate, the rear
cross beam connected between the two C-shaped rings and the parallel connecting rods of the
main backup plate together form a main backup plate four-rod mechanism, and each side of
the two sides of the main backup plate is respectively provided with two parallel connecting
rods, forming a four-rod linkage on each side; the auxiliary backup plates, main backup plate
and auxiliary backup plate parallel connecting rods together form an auxiliary backup plate four-rod mechanism, and each side of the two sides of the auxiliary backup plate is respectively provided with two connecting rods, forming a four-rod linkage on each side.
4. A dumping method of using the car dumper for dumping top-open containers
transported by railway flatcars and dumping railway gondola cars according to claim 1,
comprising dumping the top-open container transported by railway flatcars and dumping the
railway gondola cars, wherein the method for dumping the top-open container transported by
railway flatcars comprises the following steps:
1) starting the main backup plate oil cylinder to drive the main backup plate to
retract; starting the backup-plate-side car pressing oil cylinder and the backup-plate-opposite
side car pressing oil cylinder to drive the backup-plate-side car pressing device and the
backup-plate-opposite-side car pressing device to raise respectively; starting the auxiliary
backup plate oil cylinder to drive the auxiliary backup plate to retract so that the front faces "b"
of the auxiliary backup plate are behind the front faces "a" of the main backup plate boss;
starting the backup plate extension device oil cylinder to drive the backup plate extension
device to retract, so that the main backup plate and the auxiliary backup plate are in a
retracted state;
2) after the top-open container transported by the railway flatcar entering the car
dumper in place, the main backup plate oil cylinder driving the main backup plate to move
transversely, according to the track formed by the parallel connecting rods of the main backup
plate, to make the front faces "a" of the bosses of the main backup plate to abut against the
corner posts of the top-open container respectively;
3) the backup-plate-side car pressing oil cylinder and the backup-plate-opposite-side
car pressing oil cylinder respectively driving the backup-plate-side car pressing device and the
backup-plate-opposite-side car pressing device to move down vertically, so as to press the
corner fittings of the top-open container;
4) the auxiliary backup plate oil cylinder driving the auxiliary backup plate to move
transversely, along the track formed by the parallel connecting rods of the auxiliary backup
plate, to abut against a middle box plate of the top-open container;
5) starting the driving device to drive the rotor to rotate on the idler, so as to rotate
the railway flatcar and the top-open container on the flatcar together, unloading the materials in
the top-open container;
6) performing operation according to a reverse sequence of step 1) to step 5) to
make the car dumper return to the starting position;
the method for dumping the railway gondola car comprises the following steps:
1) starting the main backup plate oil cylinder to drive the main backup plate to
retract; starting the backup-plate-side car pressing cylinder and the backup-plate-opposite-side
car pressing cylinder to drive the backup-plate-side car pressing device and the backup-plate
opposite-side car pressing device to raise respectively;
2) starting the auxiliary backup plate oil cylinder to drive the auxiliary backup plate to
extend out, so that the front faces "b" of the auxiliary backup plate are in the same plane as the
front faces "a" of the main backup plate boss; starting the backup plate extension device oil
cylinder to drive the backup plate extension device to open, so that the main backup plate and
the auxiliary backup plate are in an extended state;
3) after the railway gondola car entering the car dumper in place, the main backup
plate cylinder driving the main backup plate and the auxiliary backup plate on the main backup
plate to move transversely, according to the track formed by the parallel connecting rods of the
main backup plate, to make the front faces "a" of the main backup plate boss and the front
faces "b" of the auxiliary backup plate to abut against the side column of the railway gondola
car;
4) starting the backup-plate-side car pressing oil cylinder and the backup-plate
opposite-side car pressing oil cylinder to respectively drive the backup-plate-side car pressing
device and the backup-plate-opposite-side car pressing device to move down vertically to
press the roof tail of the railway gondola car;
5) starting the driving device to drive the rotor to rotate on the idler, so as to drive the
railway gondola car to rotate together, unloading the materials in the gondola car;
6) performing operation according to the reverse sequence of step 1) to step 5) to
make the car dumper return to the starting position.
