Description

[DESCRIPTION] [Invention Title] COMPOSITION HAVING SUPERIOR FOAMING ABILITY FOR SULFATE-FREE SHAMPOO 5 [Technical Field] The present disclosure relates to a sulfate-free shampoo composition which does not contain a sulfate-based surfactant. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a sulfate-free shampoo composition can minimize hair damage 10 or color fading from dyed hair by not containing a sulfate-based surfactant and can provide superior foaming ability by containing a sultaine-based zwitterionic surfactant. [Background Art] 15 In general, a shampoo composition contains a surfactant as a main ingredient and further contains additives such as a preservative, a flavor, etc. and water. For the surfactant, an anionic surfactant is used basically for cleansing and foaming. In addition, a nonionic surfactant is often used for solubilization and emulsification (or dispersion). 20 Sulfates are used indispensably as the surfactant. Specifically, the existing shampoo composition contains a sulfate-based surfactant as an anionic surfactant. For example, use of ammonium lauryl sulfate, ammonium laureth sulfate, etc. is disclosed in Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2009-0056321, etc., and use of sodium lauryl sulfate, etc. is disclosed in Korean Patent Registration No. 10-0845393, 1 Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2010-0082931, etc. These sulfate-based anionic surfactants are useful in shampoo compositions when compared with other anionic surfactants because of very superior foaming ability as well as cleansing ability. However, sulfates are problematic in that they facilitate hair damage due to 5 strong irritation and, in particular, accelerate color fading from dyed hair due to excessive cleansing ability. [References of the Related Art] [Patent Documents] 10 (Patent document 1) Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2009-0056321 (Patent document 2) Korean Patent Registration No. 10-0845393 (Patent document 3) Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2010-0082931 [Disclosure] 15 [Technical Problem] The present disclosure is directed to providing a sulfate-free shampoo composition which does not contain a sulfate-based surfactant and thus can minimize hair damage or color fading from dyed hair and provide superior foaming ability. 20 [Technical Solution] In a general aspect, the present disclosure provides a sulfate-free shampoo composition not containing a sulfate-based surfactant, which contains a sultaine-based zwitterionic surfactant having S03 on the anionic end. 2 In an exemplary embodiment, the shampoo composition according to the present disclosure may further contain a betaine-based zwitterionic surfactant having COO- on the anionic end. 5 [Advantageous Effects] A sulfate-free shampoo composition according to the present disclosure provides an effect of minimizing hair damage or color fading from dyed hair by not containing a sulfate-based surfactant and also provides an effect of providing superior foaming ability by containing a sultaine-based zwitterionic surfactant. It 10 may provide an effect of providing further improved foaming ability if it further contains a betaine-based zwitterionic surfactant. [Brief Description of Drawings] Fig. 1 shows a result of measuring foam height for shampoo compositions of 15 Examples. [Best Mode] Hereinafter, the present disclosure is described in detail. A shampoo composition according to the present disclosure is a sulfate-free 20 composition which contains a surfactant as an active ingredient for providing cleansing ability but does not contain a sulfate-based anionic surfactant. The shampoo composition according to the present disclosure contains a sultaine-based zwitterionic surfactant having S0 3 (sulfonate group) on the anionic end as a new zwitterionic surfactant. The sultaine-based zwitterionic surfactant 3 provides superior foaming ability. In the present disclosure, the sultaine-based zwitterionic surfactant is not particularly limited as long as it is zwitterionic and has S03- (sulfonate group) on the anionic end. Specifically, the sultaine-based zwitterionic surfactant may be one or 5 more selected from a group consisting of cocamidopropyl hydroxysultaine, cocohydroxysultaine, cocosultaine, erucamidopropyl hydroxysultaine, hydroxysultaine, lauramidopropyl hydroxysultaine, lauryl hydroxysultaine, lauryl sultaine, methoxycinnamidopropyl hydroxysultaine, myristamidopropyl hydroxysultaine, oleamidopropyl hydroxysultaine, tallowamidopropyl hydroxysultaine, 10 etc. Chemical Formula 1 is the structural formula of cocamidopropyl hydroxysultaine among the sultaine-based zwitterionic surfactants described above. Specifically, the sultaine-based zwitterionic surfactant that can be used in the present disclosure may be one having S03- (sulfonate group) on the anionic end as 15 shown in Chemical Formula 1. The R in Chemical Formula 1 as a hydrocarbon radical may be selected, for example, from an 20 alkyl group, an aryl group, etc. The sultaine-based zwitterionic surfactant may be contained in an amount of 4 1-30 wt% based on the total weight of the shampoo composition according to the present disclosure, although not being particularly limited thereto. If the content of the sultaine-based zwitterionic surfactant is less than 1 wt%, improvement in foaming ability may be insufficient. And, if the content of the sultaine-based zwitterionic 5 surfactant exceeds 30 wt%, the composition may be irritant to the scalp and highly viscous. More specifically, the sultaine-based zwitterionic surfactant may be contained in an amount of 5-20 wt% based on the total weight of the shampoo composition according to the present disclosure considering these factors. In an exemplary embodiment, the shampoo composition according to the 10 present disclosure may further contain a betaine-based zwitterionic surfactant. Specifically, the shampoo composition according to the present disclosure may contain both the sultaine-based zwitterionic surfactant and the betaine-based zwitterionic surfactant as zwitterionic surfactants. In this case, foaming ability is further improved by a synergic effect. 15 In the present disclosure, the betaine-based surfactant is not particularly limited as long as it is zwitterionic and has COO on the anionic end. For example, the betaine-based surfactant may be one or more selected from cocamidopropyl betaine, cocobetaine, cocodimethyl carboxymethyl betaine, lauryl dimethyl carboxymethyl betaine, lauryl dimethyl a-carboxyethyl betaine, cetyl dimethyl 20 carboxymethyl betaine, lauryl bis(2-hydroxyethyl) carboxymethyl betaine, stearyl bis(2-hydroxypropyl) carboxymethyl betaine, oleyl dimethyl y-carboxypropyl betaine, lauryl bis(2-hydroxypropyl) a-carboxyethyl betaine, cocodimethyl sulfopropyl betaine, stearyl dimethyl sulfopropyl betaine, cocoamidodimethyl carboxymethyl betaine, cocoamidodimethyl sulfopropyl betaine, lauryl amidodimethyl carboxymethyl betaine, 5 cetyl amidodimethyl carboxymethyl betaine, stearyl amidodimethyl sulfopropyl betaine, etc. Specifically, one or more selected from cocamidopropyl betaine, cocobetaine, etc. may be used. Chemical Formula 2 is the structural formula of cocamidopropyl betaine 5 among the betaines described above. Specifically, the betaine that can be used in the present disclosure may be one having COO on the anionic end as shown in Chemical Formula 2. [Chemical Formula 2] 0 CH 3

3 10 In Chemical Formula 2, R is hydrogen or a hydrocarbon radical. The R in Chemical Formula 2 as a hydrocarbon radical may be selected, for example, from an alkyl group, an aryl group, etc. The betaine-based zwitterionic surfactant may be contained in an amount of 0.1-30 wt% based on the total weight of the shampoo composition according to the 15 present disclosure, although not being particularly limited thereto. If the content of the betaine-based zwitterionic surfactant is less than 0.1 wt%, the synergic effect of improving foaming ability may be insufficient. And, if the content of the betaine-based zwitterionic surfactant exceeds 30 wt%, it may be disadvantageous in terms of cost without further improvement. More specifically, the betaine-based 20 zwitterionic surfactant may be contained in an amount of 0.5-20 wt% based on the total weight of the shampoo composition according to the present disclosure 6 considering these factors. The shampoo composition according to the present disclosure may contain both the sultaine-based zwitterionic surfactant and the betaine-based zwitterionic surfactant and the sultaine-based zwitterionic surfactant and the betaine-based 5 zwitterionic surfactant may be contained at a weight ratio of 1 : 0.1-10.0 (sultaine-based zwitterionic surfactant : betaine-based zwitterionic surfactant). In this case, superior foaming ability may be achieved owing to synergic effect. The shampoo composition according to the present disclosure may further contain a nonionic surfactant for supplementing cleansing ability and providing 10 improved solubilization, emulsification (or dispersion), etc. The nonionic surfactant may be selected, for example, from sorbitans, amides, amines, derivatives thereof, or the like, although not being particularly limited thereto. As specific examples of the nonionic surfactant, one or more selected from sorbitan monooleate, sorbitan monolaurate, lauryl diethylamine oxide, coconut oil alkyl dimethylamine oxide, 15 coconut oil fatty acid diethanolamide, coconut oil fatty acid monoethanolamide, cocamide diethanolamine, derivatives thereof, etc. may be used. The nonionic surfactant may be contained in an amount of 0.1-20 wt% based on the total weight of the shampoo composition according to the present disclosure. If the content of the nonionic surfactant is less than 0.1 wt%, the effect of supplementing cleansing ability 20 and providing improved solubilization, emulsification (or dispersion), etc. may be insufficient. And, if the content exceeds 20 wt%, viscosity may increase. The shampoo composition according to the present disclosure may further contain an additive commonly used in the related art. For example, the shampoo composition may contain one or more additive selected from a preservative, a flavor, 7 a pH adjuster, a viscosity modifier, a humectant, a conditioning agent, a sterilizer, etc. These additives may be contained in an amount of, for example, 0.001-10 wt% based on the total weight of the shampoo composition according to the present disclosure. The shampoo composition may contain water (e.g., purified water) as 5 balance. In addition, the shampoo composition may further contain solvents such as alcohols, ketones, etc. or herbal extracts, fruit extracts, vitamins, pigments, etc., in addition to the above-described additives. The preservative may be selected from methyl p-hydroxybenzoate, p-hydroxybenzoic acid ester, methylparaben, methylchloroisothiazolinone, 10 methylisothiazolinone, etc. and the flavor may be selected from natural flavor (fruit flavor, herbal flavor, mint flavor, etc.) or artificial flavor. And, the pH adjuster may be selected from an inorganic acid, an organic acid and salts thereof. For example, it may be selected from citric acid, sodium citrate, phosphoric acid, sodium phosphate, disodium phosphate, etc. 15 The viscosity modifier may be selected from cocamide MEA (CME), cocamide DEA (CDE), sodium chloride, ammonium chloride, etc. and the humectant may be selected from carboxyvinyl polymers, glycols (e.g., propylene glycol), oils (natural oil, animal or vegetable oil, etc.), etc. The conditioning agent may be selected from lanolin alcohols, polyoxyethylene lanolin, polyquaternium-7, 20 polyquaternium-10, ethylene glycol monostearate, etc. and the sterilizer may be selected from chlorhexidine, triclosan, sulfur, conazole derivatives, etc. As described above, the sulfate-free composition not containing a sulfate-based anionic surfactant according to the present disclosure can minimize hair damage or color fading from dyed hair since it does not contain a sulfate-based 8 anionic surfactant. And, it exhibits superior foaming ability since it contains the sultaine-based zwitterionic surfactant instead of the sulfate-based anionic surfactant. In addition, when it contains both the sultaine-based zwitterionic surfactant and the betaine-based zwitterionic surfactant as described above, the sulfate-free 5 composition can exhibit very superior foaming ability due to synergic effect. [Mode for Invention] Hereinafter, the present disclosure will be described in detail through examples and a comparative example. However, the following examples are for 10 illustrative purposes only and it will be apparent to those of ordinary skill in the art that the scope of the present disclosure is not limited thereby. [Examples and Comparative Example] Wash-off type shampoo compositions were prepared with the ingredients and 15 contents described in [Table 1]. In Examples 1-2 and Comparative Example, disodium lauryl sulfosuccinate and disodium laureth sulfosuccinate were used as anionic surfactants for providing cleansing ability instead of a sulfate-based surfactant. A sultaine-based zwitterionic surfactant (cocamidopropyl hydroxysultaine) was further used in Example 1, and a 20 sultaine-based zwitterionic surfactant (cocamidopropyl hydroxysultaine) and a betaine-based zwitterionic surfactant (cocamidopropyl betaine) of the same amount were further used in Example 2. In Comparative Example, a betaine-based zwitterionic surfactant (cocamidopropyl betaine) was used instead of the sultaine-based zwitterionic surfactant for comparison with Example 1. For accurate 9 comparison of foaming ability, the total content of the surfactant was set identically to 18 wt% in Examples 1-2 and Comparative Example.
