Description

A connection arrangement for lightweight building panels The present invention relates to a connection fitting for lightweight building panels, especially honeycomb panels, comprising a first housing part which is set in a recess of a first lightweight building panel and a second housing part set in a recess of a second lightweight building panel, with the first housing part being adjustable relative to the second housing part. A fitting for hollow panels is known from DE 20 2006 002 648, in which a pot-shaped housing part is each inserted in a receiver in two adjacent hollow panels. Each housing part is fixed in the hollow panel by means of several screws. In order to join the hollow panels, a clamping device is provided, through which the hollow panels can be fixed to each other in a clamping manner in a predetermined position. It is disadvantageous in this fitting that the fixing of the hollow panels can only occur in a predetermined position. A possibility for adjustment and an alignment of the lightweight building panels for tolerance compensation for example is not provided. It is therefore the object of the present invention to provide a connection fitting for lightweight building panels which offers a possibility for the adjustment of the positioning of adjacent light weight building panels in combination with simple arrangement. This object is achieved by a connection fitting with the features of claim 1. In accordance with the invention, at least one clip is provided for fixing the first housing part and the second housing part to one another in a predetermined position. It is thus possible to adjust the first housing part relative to the second housing part to the desired position in order to then carry out a fixing of the housing parts in relation to one another. It is thus prevented that the housing parts can be fixed only in one predetermined position by a clamping device. Instead, an adjustment of the housing parts in order to compensate tolerances for example can be performed, so that a fixing via a clip can be performed subsequently. According to a preferred development of the invention, the housing parts are adjustable in a di rection perpendicular to the plane of the lightweight building panel and a height adjustment is possible by means of the at least one clip. Adjacent lightweight building panels can thus be mounted with a slight offset relative to one another. It is further possible that the housing parts rest on one another on a front edge and the housing parts are displaceable in the plane of the lightweight building panels along said front edge and can be fixed to one another by means of at least one clip. This allows for a larger variation concerning the adjustment of the housing parts which can then also be fixed to one another along the front edge in the desired position. Preferably, two clips are provided, with a first clip being fixed to the first housing part and a sec ond clip to the second housing part. This ensures high stability in the fixing of the housing parts. In order to fix the housing parts to one another, a projection can be provided on the clip which is inserted in a receiver in the housing part. Preferably, the several projections arranged in a fork like manner are arranged on the clip, which projections are each inserted in a receiver of one housing part. This leads to a substantially interlocking fixing of the housing part by inserting the at least one projection of the clip into the receiver of the adjacent housing part. According to a further development of the invention, each clip is fixed to a housing part via a screw. Rapid and simple mounting can thus be provided, with the screw preferably being ar ranged adjacent to a front edge of the housing part, so that in the case of forces acting on the clip such forces can be absorbed via the screw in a region adjacent to the front edge. In order to fix the connection of the lightweight building panels after their alignment, the first housing part and the second housing part can be held against one another via a clamping device. For this purpose, each housing part preferably comprises a pot-shaped receiver for inserting an end section of the clamping device. The clamping device ensures a clamping of the lightweight building panels and the housing part, so that an especially high amount of stability is achieved after the alignment of the lightweight building panels. In order to fix the housing parts securely to a lightweight building panel, they are preferably glued together with a cover panel. A gluing channel can be provided in each housing part, by means of which adhesive can be distributed in a gap between a cover panel and a rear side of the housing part, so that gluing occurs over a wide region of the rear side. The invention is now explained in closer detail by reference to an embodiment shown in the en closed drawings, wherein: Fig. I shows a perspective view of a connection fitting in accordance with the invention during mounting; Fig. 2 shows a sectional view of the connection fitting of Fig. 3; Fig. 3 shows a top view of the connection fitting of Fig. 1; Fig. 4 shows a perspective view of a housing part during gluing; Fig. 5 shows a top view of a housing part of the connection fitting; Fig. 6 shows a sectional view along the line of Fig. 5; Fig. 7 shows a perspective rear view of the housing part of Fig. 5; Fig. 8 shows a perspective view of the parts of the connection fitting without lightweight build ing panels; Fig. 9 shows a perspective view of the connection fitting without clamping device during mount ing; Fig. 10 shows a top view of the connection fitting without clamping device; Fig. 11 shows a sectional side view of the connection fitting during mounting, and Figs. 12 to 15 show several views of the connection fitting without clamping device in the mounted position. A connection fitting I is used for fixing lightweight building panels 2 and 3 to one another, which each comprise an upper cover panel 4, a bottom cover panel 6 and an interposed lattice structure 6 with cavities (not shown in closer detail), e.g. a honeycomb structure. It is also possi ble to use the connection fitting 1 for other lightweight building panels which consist of solid material and comprise only one cover panel 4 or more than two cover panels 4, 6. The connection fitting 1 comprises a first housing part 10 which is fixed in a U-shaped recess of the lightweight building panel 2 and comprises a pot-shaped receiver 11. Furthermore, a second housing part 20 is fixed to a second lightweight building panel 3, with the housing part 20 being arranged to be of identical construction as the first housing part 10 and being fixed in a respec tive U-shaped recess in the second lightweight building panel 3. The recesses in the first light weight building panel 2 and the second lightweight building panel 3 extend through the upper cover panel 4, the lattice structure 5 and a part of the bottom cover panel 6, so that one rear side of the housing parts 2 and 3 is arranged adjacent to the floor of the recess in the bottom cover panel 6. The connection fitting 1 comprises a clamping device which is formed by a connecting rod 13, a curved section 12 and a clamping element 14. The curved section 12 can be inserted in a pot-shaped receiver 11 or 21 and is provided with a thread. The clamping element 14 can also be inserted into a receiver 11 or 21 of the housing parts 10 and 20 and the connecting rod 13 can be clamped via a gear or thread in such a way that the lightweight building panels 2 and 3 can be fixed to one another in a clamping manner. In order to enable the adjustment of the lightweight building panels 2 and 3 relative to one an other, the housing parts 10 and 20 with a front edge 23 are flush with a front edge 7 of the light weight building panels 2 and 3. As a result, the lightweight building panels 2 and 3 can thus be displaced both in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the lightweight building panels, i.e. in the height, and also along the front edges 7 in relation to one another. Clips 30 are provided to fix the housing parts 10 and 20, which clips fix the housing parts 10 and 20 to one another. As is shown in Figs. 4 to 7, a housing part 20 is glued at first in a recess of a lightweight building panel 3. For this purpose, the housing part 20 comprises a channel 24 which extends from an upper side of the housing part 20 to a rear side of housing part 20. The channel 24 opens into a gap 25 which is formed between the floor of the recess on the cover panel 6 and the rear side of the housing part 20. As a result, adhesive introduced through the channel 24 can distribute over the entire surface on the rear side and ensure good fixing between housing part 20 and the cover panel 6. Furthermore, the introduction of adhesive into the channel 24 can occur effectively via a suitable adhesive nozzle 40. A screw channel 22 is further arranged on the housing part 20 for fixing the clip 30, which screw channel is provided adjacent to a front edge 23 of the housing part 20. The housing part 20 further comprises a groove 26 between the receiver 21 and the front side 23 in which the connecting rod 13 can be inserted with play. The position of the connecting rod 13 within the groove 26 can thus be varied, which is necessary for adjusting the housing parts 10 and 20 relative to one another.
The housing part 20 further comprises an upper edge 27 which rests in an interlocking manner on the upper cover panel 4. The housing parts 10 and 20 are glued at first into the recess of the lightweight building panels 2 and 3 for mounting the connection fitting. Then the lightweight building panels 2 and 3 are posi tioned in the desired position relative to one another in order to be fixed subsequently by two clips 30. The clips 30 comprise a receiver for twisting in a screw 31 into the screw channel 22. Each clip 30 further comprises a web-like projection 32 which can be inserted into a slit-like receiver 34 in a housing part 10 or 20. Several projections 32 are arranged adjacent to one an other which can be inserted in a fork-like manner in the slit-like receivers 34. When the housing parts 10 and 20 are displaced along the front edge 7, a fixing in the direction of displacement can occur by the engagement of the projections 32 in the receiver 34. It is not necessary that the housing parts 10 and 20 are disposed opposite of one another in a precisely symmetrical way. The clips 30 can be fixed in different angular positions for height adjustment, with a stop 33 be ing formed on the side opposite of the projections 32 which rests on a housing part. Figs. 12 to 15 show the connection fitting in a mounted position, in which a height offset AH is provided between the lightweight building panels 2 and 3. Despite the height offset AH, the lightweight building panels 2 and 3 can be connected with each other via the connection fitting, with the clips 30 being arranged in a predetermined inclination after the twisting in of the screw 31, which clips are aligned according to the height offset AH. In the illustrated embodiment, two clips 30 are provided, with one clip 30 being fixed to the first housing part 10 and a second clip 30 to the second housing part 20 via a screw 31. It is obviously also possible to provide only one clip 30 or more than two clips 30. The housing parts 10 and 20 can be made integrally of plastic. The clamping device for clamping the housing parts 10 and 20 relative to one another can have different clamping elements instead of the illustrated connecting rod 13, the clamping element 14 and the curved section 12. The gluing of the housing parts 10 and 20 can also occur in different ways. Adhesive can be ap plied either only to the bottom or only the top cover panel (4, 6), or to both cover panels (4, 6) simultaneously. A useful selection must be made as required.
Moreover, gluing can also occur by adhesive directly applied to the gluing surfaces instead of via the adhesive channel, or by injection of adhesive (injecting) after the joining of the component, or by prior applied adhesive as fixed mass such as a hot glue which is liquefied subsequently by supply of heat (magnetic induction).
