12- 7-04:15:32 ;Michael Drummond Lawyer :61 7 3852 4744 2/ 6 1 Macadamia Nut Shell Composite This invention is a chemical process of combining two specific materials to produce a unique, distinctive and highly decorative material from which various products (for both commercial and domestic use) can be made.
This inventive process involves the novel combination of a thermo set plastic/resin (including but not limited to Polyester or Epoxy or Polyurethane) and ground Macadamia Nut shell.
The Macadamia Nut shell is first ground into a flour.
The ground Macadamia Nut shell flour is stirred into the thermo set plastic/resin in a vacuum environment and catalysed.
The process creates a thick paste which can then be poured into pre-fabricated moulds to create various items (including, but not limited to functional and aesthetic items suitable for either commercial or domestic use). Examples of possible uses include: 1. furniture; 2. decorative pieces such as vases; 3. ashtrays; 4. jewellery; building materials; 6. crockery.
Once the Macadamia Nut Shell Composite sets and dries it presents a finish which is chocolate in colour and has a unique appearance (in particular a unique lustre and depth).
This unique appearance cannot be achieved or duplicated by other colouration methods (such as adding coloured dye to the thermo set plastic/resin).

12- 7-04;15;32 ;Michael Drummon Lawyer ;61 7 3852 4744 3/ 2 The claims defining the invention are as follows: 1. Macadamia Nut Shell. 2. Thermo set plastic/resin (including but not limited to Polyester or Epoxy or Polyurethane). 3. The Macadamia Nut Shell as claimed in claim 1 is ground into a fine powder ("the flour"). 4. The Macadamia Nut Shell flour as claimed in claim 3 is stirred into the Thermo set plastic/resin as claimed in claim 2 in a vacuum environment and catalysed, creating a thick paste. The thick paste as claimed in claim 4 sets and dries. 6. A Macadamia Nut Shell composite material according to the claims 1 wherein the material is very durable and has a unique lustre and colour.
