Abstract
Method for automatic generation of a drill pattern for drilling and blasting of a predetermined rock volume. According to the method rules for distance between drill holes and direction for drill holes are loaded into a control system on a rock drilling rig (1). The feed beam position of the rock drilling rig is shown on a screen (3).The operator marks the drill front limitation through pointing out these with the feed beam (2).After that depthof the round and the rear surface of the round are stored in the control system. With rules and limitations of the round stored in the control system the drill pattern is generated by automatic calculation.
Description
O METHOD FOR AUTOMATIC GENERATION OF A DRILL PATTERN O The present invention relates to a method for automatic generation of a Z drill pattern for drilling and blasting of a predetermined rock volume with a rock S 5 drilling rig with at last one feed beam.
In a previously known method the drill pattern is calculated in a planning process separated from the rock drilling rig. After that the position of the eq individual drill holes are given to the driller who after that aligns the rock drilling S 10 machines for drilling. Alternatively data for the individual drill holes can be stored in a control system for subsequent drilling.
It is desirable to automatically generate a drill pattern commencing with rules for placement of drill holes and direction of drill holes and interactive indication of the limits for a whole round.
In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a method for automatic generation of a drill pattern for drilling and blasting of a predetermined rock volume with a rock drilling rig provided with at least one feed beam, characterised in that rules for distance placement between bore holes in a bore hole round and direction for bore holes created in a planning process are loaded into a control system on the rock drilling rig, that a feed beam position is shown on a screen on the rock drilling rig, that the feed beam is moved to desired positions to point out or adjust a drill front frame, that the pointed out or adjusted positions are stored in the control system of the rock drilling rig, that the depth of a bore hole round is given in the control system, that a desired position for a rear surface of the bore hole round is given in the control system and that the drill pattern is generated through automatic calculation from stored rules and indicated limitations of the round.
One advantage with this method is that one does not have to handle data fro the individual drill holes.
O In accordance with another aspect of the present invention, there is N provided an apparatus for automated generation of a drill pattern for drilling and O blasting of rock with a rock drilling machine, including a control system with memory means arranged to store predetermined rules for placement of bore 5 holes in at least one hole round, including distance between individual holes within a round and between rounds, a screen operatively associated with the control system and arranged to display a front and top plan picture representative of a rock volume to be drilled into, feed beams operatively arranged for a user of the rock drilling machine to point out or adjust a drill front frame containing the S 10 hole round; means for storing the coordinates of the drill front frame in the control N system; means for storing in the control system depth values of the bore hole rounds to be drilled and blasted; means for storing adjustment coordinates between the drill front frame and a rear surface of the bore hole round(s); means for automatically generating the drill pattern using the predetermined rules and the said drill front frame, adjustment coordinates and depth values.
An embodiment of the invention is described below with reference to the accompanying drawing in which Fig. 1 shows a stylized rock drilling rig and a tunnel in front on a screen, whereas Fig. 2 shows a generated drill pattern on the screen.
At generation of the drill pattern one starts from rules for placement of drill holes relative to each other within a group of holes, distance to other hole groups and different look-out angles to be used for the different hole groups. These rules are created in a planning process outside the rock drilling rig 1. These rules are loaded into the control system of the rock drilling rig 1. It can also occur that a planned volume for drilling and blasting is transferred to the rock drilling rig 1. On the screen 3 of the rock drilling rig 1 a schematised picture of the rock drilling rig 1 is shown with drill booms provided with feed beams 2 for rock drilling machines marked. On screen 3 a rock volume 4 is shown both from above and from the front. By moving the feed beams 2 the driller points out the different comers on the drill front 5 and stores these values in the memory of the control system.
Through this the limits of the drill front have been pointed out and adjusted. After this the depth of the round to be drilled and blasted is given. Then it is indicated c how the rear surface of the round is to be adjusted relative to the drill front. When o this has been done the control system of the rock drilling rig contains information Zabout the limits in the room of the round and the rules for the placement of the drill holes including the direction for the drilling. Outgoing from this information the drill pattern is automatically generated through automatic calculation outgoing In from the stored rules and the limitations of the round. In Fig. 2 the completed drill pattern is shown. If the coordinate system of the rock drilling rig before q generation of the drill pattern was connected to the coordinate system of the rock C 10 body the connection is kept, if not automatic connection of the coordinate C systems occurs outgoing form the corners of the round pointed out.
