Abstract

The invention relates to an optical system for imaging a parallel light beam (parallel beam) in a light beam (half-space beam) which propagates in all directions of a half-space, and vice versa. Said optical system comprises a reflector (1) having a parabolically shaped reflecting surface, and a convergent lens (4), the optical axis and a focal point thereof coinciding with the optical axis (B) or the focal point (A) of the reflector (1). The convergent lens (4) and the reflector (1) are thus embodied in such a way that the two marginal beams (C,D) of the reflector (1) and the convergent lens (4) respectively cross the focal point (A) of the reflector (1) at an essentially identical angle. The opening surface of the plane of section through the reflector (1), which is perpendicular to the optical axis (B) of the reflector (1) and contains the focal point (A), constitutes a first reflector opening (2) for the half-space beam. The opening surface of the plane through the reflector (1), which is perpendicular to the optical axis (B) of the reflector (1) and contains the point of incidence of the cited reflector marginal beam (C) on the reflector (1), constitutes a second reflector opening (3) for the parallel beam. Using said optical system, a hologram film arranged on the first opening (2) can, for example, be exposed by an LCD surface arranged on the second opening (3), in such a way that the illumination beam can be adjusted on the hologram film within a total angular region of 2pi by switching the individual pixel elements of the LCD surface. The inventive optical system can be used in association with two other such systems and other optical means, in the form of an endoscope, a peephole, a magnifying optical system, a reduction optical system, and as a system for reconstructing three-dimensional objects, etc.
