Abstract

Use of xyloglucan oligomers and polymers having an osidic structure (I) to modify plant behavior, is new. The use of xyloglucan oligomers and polymers having an osidic structure (I) and their derivatives X1-X2-X3-(X4)n (I) X 1, X 2, X 3, and X 4an ose selected from glucose, galactose, xylose, fucose, and arabinose, these optionally being in reduced form and/or substituted , especially by alkyl or acyl groups, and being optionally substituted by glucose, galactose, xylose, fucose, or arabinose groups and/or by one or more osidic chains of formula X 5-X 6-(X 7) m; n : 0 or 1; m : 0 or 1; X 5, X 6, and X 7glucose, galactose, xylose, fucose, or arabinose to modify plant behavior, by adapting them to abiotic stress, such as adaptation to cold, drought, humidity, or salinity, affecting floration, controlling fruiting and increasing defense against bacterial, viral and fungal pathogens. ACTIVITY : Antibacterial; Antifungal; Antiviral; Plant growth regulator; Plant protectant. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Glutathion reductase stimulants, phospholipase D stimulants, glycosyl hydrolase stimulants.
