Abstract
The invention relates to a device for filtering flowable media, especially for carrying out a preliminary sorting of media, comprising the following: a first pack of plate-like hollow bodies (3) arranged parallel to each other at a mutual distance from each other and whose walls consist of a sieving material; a hollow shaft (1) penetrating the hollow bodies (3), connected thereto in a rotationally fixed manner, provided with a drive mechanism and whose interior is conductively connected to the interiors of the hollow bodies (3); a second pack of plate-like hollow bodies (4) that are arranged in the same way as the other hollow bodies (3); a second shaft (2) which is arranged in the same way as the first; the shafts (1,2) of both packs are embodied and arranged in such a way that the hollow bodies (3) of the first pack engage in a tooth-like manner with the cavities between the hollow bodies (4) of the second pack; the packs and shafts are enclosed by a container (5): the container has an inlet (5.1) for the medium which is to be treated and an outlet (5.2) for the residue: the hollow shafts are respectively provided with an outlet (1.1, 2.1) for the filtrate; the bodies are driven in the same direction of rotation; the relative velocity of the bodies is substantially constant around the overlap region when seen in a radial direction.
