Abstract

The invention relates to a method for obtaining a biological product from the silk worm larva and the substance resulting therefrom. The method is characterized in that, after commonly breeding larvas and feeding them with mulberry up to their fourth moulting, the caterpillars are taken between the seventh and the ninth day consecutive to said fourth moulting in order to be treated in a succession of operations comprising the freezing in liquid nitrogen, the cryocrushing and the lyophilization of the crushed product.
