Abstract

The method of marking hands of bananas is carried out with the aid of a banana suspension device (20), to which a price label, which is printed during weighing of the hand of bananas (30), is unremovably applied. To this end, the hand of bananas and the banana suspension device are interconnected by means of a string (10) or the like and then transported together to the scales and to the labelling device (43) where, by means of the latter, the printed price label is applied to the banana suspension device (20). This allows for the first time fully automatic marking of hands of bananas. <IMAGE>
