Abstract

1. A method for operating a water-jet pump, in which the water required for operating the pump is recirculated in a circuit, characterised in that the water is pressurized by means of compressed air at an essentially constant air pressure and that compressed air, which was used to expel water through the water-jet pump, is expanded in a defined expansion chamber, heat being with-drawn from the water and absorbed by the air during and after its expansion.
